I got my 500th win the other day with Control Mage. Since I got the Mage Loa as my free card I am using that one, combined with Zola, Mojomaster and Elise as the late-game "engine" to counter the meta a bit, so not running Sindragosa or Alanna. I'm also running the Pyromaniac and Fire-eater to combine with the Loa and the DK. I don't have Arugal or Pinata, but it does look interesting.
Hey guys. I reached rank 5 for the first time this season. Highest i got was rank 3, but I basically keep the same rating after an entire day of playing, which is pretty frustrating. Is there a solid non-aggro deck that is good for climbing at these ranks? I am currently playing Even Paladin and Control Mage. Is it worth crafting the Warrior Quest to play the Odd version for example?
Today I noticed that Immortal Prelates effect of keeping "enchantments" means that it also keep battlecries. I was playing against a Deathrattle Hunter earlier, and I eventually got 27 armor every time Da Undatakah died so I was able to simply outstall him in fatigue with nothing but a Taunted Undatakah!
I think your problem is that you switch decks around to much. Every Tier 1 deck is capable of reaching Legend, you just have to stick to one deck and learn everything about it like mulligans and such. Reaching Rank 5 isn't hard because missplays are allowed, reaching Legend means you have to play better.
Basically this is Even Paladin but with the big threats exchanged for an Immortal Prelate package. Problem with this deck is the major weakness to Silence, because then your deck isn't infinite and you have no other additional big threat. I've been playing something similar, but with the Corpsetaker package for that additional threat (both offensive as defensive) as well as Da Undatakah (even if a silenced Prelate dies, Undatakah still gets its effect).
I see. I think the Corpsetakers and the other cards you need for that strategy is too clunky to be combined with the Prelates. I have Plated Beetle for Aggro and some heal. I haven't faced a lot of burn decks, Odd Rogue is the most common and that one gets walled by Defender of Argus and I can snowball from there. I like the suggestion of Da Undatakah though, but isn't that too slow? You can't combine it with Mojomaster Zihi either.
I've been a casual player since beta (I have all golden heroes), but I do have some metagame knowledge. Today I reached rank 5 for the first time with this homebrew version of Even Paladin. Since I haven't seen similar decks I'm looking for advice to maybe improve it. Who knows I might even go for Legend this month :)

How high do you rate Arugal compared to Thalnos and Pyros? I rotate between those two in the last flexible spot of the deck.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I managed to go 4-0 to reach rank 4, so far so good :)

Indeed this is for the standard metagame.

Nice deck, but what about Harrison Jones over the Ooze? He draws so it looks nice combined with Archmage Arugal?
