Seems terrible at first glance. Maybe some shudderwock shenanigans? It's way too expensive, but we shall see what the expansion brings.

Mackie264 posted a message on Could putting Zephrys in a non-highlander deck work?Posted in: General Deck BuildingYour title is confusing and not at all what you actually want to ask, the deck you're sharing IS a highlander deck but it's just that shaman doesn't have any cards that take particular advantage of this mechanic like hunter, druid, mage or paladin (other than the neutral Zephrys ofc) and that's what you mean, so it isn't that you're playing Zephrys on a non-highlander deck but rather than you're playin Zephrys on Shaman which is a class that has no highlander synergy. other than Zephrys.
I don't know if Zephrys is strong enough to justify running a highlander deck on a class with no other synergies cause he's quite literally a tool card rather than a build-around card and/or win condition so maybe it isn't worth it but maybe it's good enough to see some fringe play if you like the style and the card in particular.
To give you a better idea of what I mean, for example OLD Reno and Kazakus are build around cards as their effects are so insane that even without more highlander cards, they're strong enough to make you want to fullfil their condition and play them on your deck. Unnerfed Raza was an example of a wincon card (Paired with Anduin DK) as it allowed you to machine gun your opponent down so even if kazakus wasn't a thing, people would have still played highlander priest cause Raza's effect was busted and it gave you a clear win condition. Zephrys doesn't fit in any of this 2 categories per se as he's the literal definition of a tool box card.

1xbenx1 posted a message on Could putting Zephrys in a non-highlander deck work?Posted in: General Deck BuildingWe would have to live in a world where nearly every single game goes to fatigue. And even in that world, Elysiana is the better choice.
Oh you just meant running a highlander deck in a non-highlander class. I don't think Zephrys is worth that.
Even if Zephrys is an incredible card, there are many incredible cards. And you can often run 2 copies of them. Reno was worth it in some decks pre-Kazakus, etc. because he provided something no other card in the history of the game provided, a reset button.Zephrys isn't a reset button.

Wingdude22 posted a message on Deathrattle Rogue - J_Alexander_HSPosted in: Deathrattle Rogue - J_Alexander_HSBecause there is absolutely no draw in this deck.
It looks like it will eventually cheese out some big deathrattle guys , but that’s a very slow gameplan not sure if Rouge can survive that long.

Fiskco posted a message on What card(s) are you excited to open from Saviors of Uldum?Posted in: General DiscussionNot sure if this is relevant or not, but I went to a pre-release today and got super lucky in opening packs.
I got both preorders, as well as the 3 free packs, for a total of 133 packs opened.
I got Raid the Sky Temple, Anka, the Buried, and Vessina in gold
as well as Zephrys the Great, King Phaoris, Dark Pharaoh Tekahn, Supreme Archaeology, Corrupt the Waters, High Priest Amet, Making Mummies, and Elise the Enlightened in non-gold.
I've got a bit of gold saved up for more packs, as well as the free legionaries from per-orders and the free quest, I'm hoping to pull Activate the Obelisk and/or maybe Siamat . -

Trying out a for-fun Shaman evolve meme deck in casual and I'm being matched up against literally nothing but top tier cancer netdecks.. burn mage and heal warlock EVERY FUCKING GAME. So I build a warrior deck designed solely to beat these fuckers and now, of course, all I'm seeing are Shudderwock Shamans and Druids. God dammit I fucking hate this game

Bored of ranked so, wtf, let's switch it up and try some casual.. LOL NOPE. It's nothing but the same fucking cancerous netdecks from ranks 10-20.
Seriously, 4 hours today and I'm the only one playing a non netdeck, the only exception being a couple Whiz bang decks.

i think he's speaking for himself and anyone over the age of 12

the decks aren't great, but they're pretty decent. if you're more worried about climbing ladder then craft some netdeck when the meta settles. if you'd rather have fun then i would go with whiz bang

yes, but then we get to troll/mock the douche who started the troll/mock thread

Well, as much as i didn't want to, and despite the shit i talked, I enjoyed and mostly agree with your review. you might be an asshole but that was the best review I've seen so far.

I'm just now seeing all of this and, yes, this is disrespectful af. And your italic nonsense at the end about spending 5-6 hours reviewing a children's card game, then asking "what have you done?" is one of the most pathetic displays of arrogance I have ever seen in my life. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time reading your review

No, this card is actually a good example why the game IS dead.

And this fucking card while you're at it
