So you can run a handlock deck without naga?

It's a nice idea when done right, but didn't work for Mean Streets at all as some factions were much weaker, and some classes were poorly suited to the faction they received.

Fun card.  Could be interesting, but not likely.  Can't cheat out a battlecry and 10 cost for hunter means control hunter which has never gotten enough cards to be viable.  Maybe if a bunch of control cards are incoming, but otherwise it's a neat idea that isn't going anywhere.

Too slow.  We say so many great cards on paper during the tournament and without fail almost all of them were too slow for the meta.  Fun card, but I don't see this being playable in constructed.

The meta will determine if this is any good but I think people are overrating it.  You still need 2 defile to protect against aggro and at 7 cost, this is pretty mediocre against aggro anyway.  Against control, you're probably better with Twisting Nether is most cases as they tend to have just a couple very strong minions so it would be hard to set the board up for this to work as a clear.  It's pretty strong against small deathrattles and midrange and maybe tempo (but not mage).  I'm not sure there are any decks currently in the meta where this would be a big upgrade over the current builds and I don't see anything on the horizon either.  I'd say it's a nice tech card, but hardly meta defining.

Like the other version a lot better.   Reduced hero power cost to 1 all game doesn't feel like such a huge upgrade that it's worth not having any odd cost cards since this seems best for an aggressive deck but an aggro deck with no 1 cost cards seems impossible unless a lot of 0 cost cards get printed or the meta slows down a LOT.

I think this will likely have a control warrior deck built around it.  How playable will depend on a lot of factors we don't know yet (other cards and the meta that develops).  I also think this has potential in both Warlock (only real loss for a control lock is the hero, so if you get another strong end game option to replace him..) and Shaman.  I know neither used justicar, but starting the game with the upgrade guaranteed allows a lot of options that weren't viable with justicar because you couldn't build the deck around hoping to draw her.  Shaman picking totem type everytime has the potential to be abusive if it gets the right odd cost cards to work with.  And warlock not needing to dedicate cards to healing to offset the hero power frees up a lot of options for either tech cards or a whole new idea as to how to construct them.  I expect 1 of these 3 classes will get a tier 2 deck built around this card which is pretty solid.

It's a late game wall that can be cheated out.  There isn't a great replacement for it.  Lock was a tier 3 deck before and probably still is without it (and might be even with it...). I'd try zoo if you want to play lock without it.

Um... so I can drop a 2 cost on turn 2, then triple cast on turn 3 to get a 5 cost minion on board while my opponent is playing a 3 cost minion?  Lets Shaman put a LOT of board pressure on early without needing to flood the board.  Interesting...

I'm playing a slightly modified version of this deck to incorporate Geist and because I don't have Prince, but I'm having a HORRIBLE time against Priest.  Is there something I can tech in to help that matchup?  Or am I just playing it wrong?  How do I approach Priest games?  Every other class I have a feel for and have a pretty good win rate, but Priest I'm finding impossible.

If you play wild, yes.  If you play standard I wouldn't at this point.  He rotates out soon and there are too few decks that make use of him that are viable at the moment.

I've been using him in my control paladin deck which isn't set up to aim for him as a win con.   I'm pretty happy with him so far.  Getting 2/2s is a great upgrade and the immediate armor and lifesteal weapon keep you from suffering so much tempo loss in not playing a minion turn 9.  I wouldn't consider him a straight replacement for any core card, but most control lists throw in a hodgepodge of different high cost minions to act as finishers, and I think he's a solid option in place of say a dragon or a giant.  I still run Tyrion too.   Might be a mistake to do both, but I think you need so many win cons as a control paladin that I can't afford to drop him.

This card could be a real threat to a control warrior deck.  Warrior doesn't tend to put out many characters, so you can basically lock down the board for a few turns.

Easy to imagine a deck where this could be a good card.  That deck just hasn't been competitive in hearthstone's history, so we'll have to wait and see what other Rogue cards get printed.

    Quote from kingius >>

I think people are underestimating how easy it is to get minions with Shaman. They can play from hand and play totems. It's quite easy to get 4 minions on the board with Shaman, get lucky, and insta-win with Bloodlust doing over 20 damage. The problem is mass of damage from 1 card as much as it is about FON+Roar combo in my view.

The last several years of Hearthstone have proven pretty clearly that Bloodlust is not a problem and FON+Roar is.  Shaman is a perennial bottom tier class, and I can't remember the last time a bloodlust deck was a strong force in the ladder.  On the contrary, combo druid has been at or near the top basically the entire history of the game and the combo has been central to that.  The combo is absolutely the problem, and not doing a lot of damage in 1 turn.  Having 4+ minions stick when playing against a class that absolutely needs board control (shaman) should result in shaman winning.  That board took 3+ turns to construct and there were many opportunities to respond, unlike druid which can pull 20+ damage completely out of the blue.
