Thank God it's based on current and not best rank. I play wild to only about rank 10 to 12 these days. As much as i might like the huge boost, i simply do not understand the wild meta as much as standard. I would get curb stomped so badly and the meta is probably more stale at higher ranks.
Honestly, my favorite and least favorite changes often. Shaman and Warrior, my favorites for long periods of time (midrange totem shaman and fatique warrior) are my least favorite classes. I hated hunter and rogue, but now i enjoy giants hunter in low rank wild and tempo rogue is okay.
Atm my favorite class/deck to play, ideal meta in mind is Cube Warlock. Idk it changes day to day among 7 classes. I have a rich library of decks to play so it's hard to say.
Least favorite is Shaman and Warrior. I just have no interest in playing those 2 classes. I don't even have a deck slot used for them.
My most tilting experience happened the first time I hit legend. I was a win from rank 3 and went on a losing streak the likes I have yet to see again, ending up at rank 9. Took a break, watched some pros on twitch and hit legend on the 20th.
Since hitting legend that month, rank 5 is casual mode because I'm no longer intimidated by the rank. I am far less invested emotionally in whether or not i lose. I think that's why pros tell you the key to hitting legend is make your goal the amount of games played, not winrate.
I don't know about you guys but Cubelock is crazy powerful. The only decks that gives it problems are Razakus or an insane opener from Secret Mage. It crushes all the tempo and aggro decks.

Far from its worse. Most of the problems can be traced back to MSoG and ONiK. I know people are complaining about creepers but i think a certain pirate is to blame.
Many of the most inferiating cards will rotate when those expansions leave, including Jade Idol, Barnes, Raza, and Patches.
There is also something to be said about not running the most popular versions of a deck card for card. Secrets are stronger when your opponent doesn't know what secrets, youre running. Forgetting to play around a secret or playing around the wrong secret can be devastating.
This season i´m playing my "own" Decks... means i just took the core cards for the Secret Mage and added cards that i like. The Result was pretty great 28-21 right now and something around 16-7 before Rank 6. Played now 4 games with my Dragon Mage and made it finally to Rank 5.
Well im glad you made it to rank 5. That must have been quite a frustrating wall 12-14 at rank 6.
Thanks! but what do u mean by "frustrating wall12-14 at rank 6", i´m sorry my english knowledge is pretty basic so i don´t understand what u mean with that. Today was actually the first time since the Frozen Throne release where i had a blast playing Ladder, usually i´m supposed to grind my way from Rank 10- to rank 5 for 1-2 days against Highlander Priest and Jade Druids. I just crafted Aluneth because it was the last Legendary from K&C i needed and made the Secret Mage deck, took me about 4h playing from Rank 10 to 5, which is usually the worst part of a season.
I think i might have misunderstood your post. I thought your initial 16-7 was included in the 28-21 record. I thought you said everytime you thought you would hitt a winstreak you ran into hunters.
Most of my games were when expansion was just released. after running into a few hunters, i can safely say hunter players have gotten better at countering what mages can do.
I also went ahead and tried the hunter archetype. Its definitely strong.

Try swapping a mirror entity for spellbender. It protects your minions and baits out their coin if they went second. I have had success against them 5-1 (lucky, good mage, bad hunter?), but it's all in your opening hand and burning them down.
Btw flare is not checkmate. I got flared twice by a couple hunters and still won.
I'm as happy as can be. Out of 136 packs, I opened 8 Legendaries. That's slightly above average but in this case it was about quality. They were all legendaries, I wanted to test out or thought could be strong. My freebie was Dragon soul. From packs, I got both hunter and mage legendaries, along with the warrior minion, Zola the Gorgon, Ixlid, and Grumble. I also scored 30 epics. My 20k dust is sitting in wait for the meta to settle.
Aluneth is a terrible idea, you're gonna overdraw like crazy.
Overall, I don't know, I think it's just a worse exodia mage deck tbh.
I agree. That weapon is more suited for a deck that is trying to out tempoand burn down their opponents from the start and will expend resources quickly.

I believe warlock looks amazing no matter what after rotation.
