Isn't it time to change "Can't be targeted by spells or hero powers" to just Elusive or Shroud?

Flaminghorse posted a message on Getting Back into HearthstonePosted in: General DiscussionGod sorry for the other posts, Hearthpwn is super cinical rn. What I would do is complete daily quests and buy 10 packs from each set you’ve never bought packs from because you are gaurenteed a legendary in your first 10 packs of new sets. Keep playing, dispite what others said I still think hearthstone is fun, and a new set is coming out in a month.
Best regards

futhead_ItsCalledSoccerToo posted a message on My Thanks to BlizzardPosted in: General DiscussionI've never written a post here before, so here it goes, I guess. After the travesty that was Gadgetzan, I am incredibly pleased by the direction Team 5 seemingly took with Ungoro. While the game still has problems (ie. Pirate warrior still everywhere, Quest rogue annoying), I the game is fun again. Maybe it's because the expansion is new, but I fell as though every class was given the ability to try multiple archetypes, and each of the nine now feel wholly unique once again. In addition, they ensured that the Reno decks died and that Jade would see little play. I seriously commend Blizzard for their innovation this expansion, and hope they continue to introduce new concepts with such success in the future. While the game's not perfect I truly believe they did a wonderful job in making HS enjoyable while fixing some of their past mistakes. I doubt many of you care, but I'm impressed and I hope you are too.

Kaziglu_Bey posted a message on 6 Decks That Reached 12-Wins in Heroic Tavern BrawlPosted in: NewsHello I'd like to submit the following deck for everyone's consideration:
[ ]
As you can see, the above deck consists of not picking a class and then not picking any cards. This revolutionary strategy focuses on the fact that if you chose to not participate in the Heroic Brawl you instead are guaranteed to save 1000 Gold; the equivalent of 10 packs in the exciting upcoming expansion Journey to Un'Goro! Through the never-before-seen tactic of simply passing on actually playing Heroic Brawl this cutting edge deck automatically wins you 10 packs! In terms of speed and consistency there is simply no deck out there that can compete, I guarantee it! -

Schnitzel97 posted a message on Quests: How to maximise gold earningPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from derekmshaw >>There are only 23 quests that have more than 50 gold - 19 quests that are 60 gold, and 1 80 gold quest and 3 100 gold quests (plus a quest for a pack, but that doesn't count for gold)
There are 24 quests that are 40 gold and 24 quests that are 50 gold. So 1/3 of the time, if you re-roll a 50 gold quest, you will get less gold, 1/3 of the time, the same amount, and 1/3 of the time, you will get more. I don't really like those odds, but they may be okay for you. And over the long haul, it would probably even out.
You should never give up a 60 gold quest, as there is only a chance 5% chance of getting a better quest.
All the quests are listed here - http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Quest, although for the Dominance and Victory quests, it only shows one line on the chart, but there are 9 possible options.
So, I would recommend only re-rolling 40 gold quests, as then you would get a better quest 2/3 of the time. And even if you get another 40 gold quest, it is up to you to complete it or avoid it and re-roll the next day. Since you can only re-roll 1 quest per day, at some point you would need to complete a 40 gold quest to make room for a new one.
To really maximize gold production, you should be getting 30 wins per day (to get the 100 gold for wins), but that usually takes more time than people have. The other way would be to get good at arena and get at least 7+ wins each time to become infinite and never have to worry about gold (at least for buying packs).
Great analysis! And since you can't have a quest twice, you should only reroll 50g quests if the average of the other two is <50. So most of the time you probably shouldn't reroll them. But that requires that the distribution is actually random. -

this game has really lost my interest in the past several months. And even this brawl is pretty boring. Tried Warlock 4 times and got stomped each time by a Mage, Rogue, Paladin (twice). Finally did it with paladin myself.
I'm now on a "log-in once every three days and clear the quests" relationship with this game. Hopefully that changes with the next expansion and cycling of sets.

I'm calling it right now....In the next set, we will see a neutral minion that sets a weapon's attack to 1. Then, we finally have a counter to Kingsbane Rogue (since Gnomeferatu can only help Warlocks against Rogues). I think this will be needed, especially after the nerfs and possibly with the next expansion.
It will probably be a niche minion (similar to Skulking Geist) so that it really only exists to keep Kingsbane Rogue in check. Would be awesome if it was another Geist or an Ooze-type minion.

Haven't gone through all the comments so I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but the Bonemare change is also a slight nerf to Spiteful Summoner, as it will now be another choice for 8 mana. Granted it just changes the percentages of getting a good outcome very slightly, but it's still something.

I've always wanted to make this quest work, but I agree you will need a few more 1-cost minions. This type of deck should be more midrange, as you are not going to survive against Cubelock or Raza Priest in the long game. I like your idea of a few more spells to deal with agro though.
I'd also drop the multi-shots, as your first 4 turns really should be about maintaining minions on board to avoid getting stomped by agro. I guess you do have explosive traps, but that's useless once minions get over 2 health (most agro decks can easily do that or already have minions with more than 2 health). So I'd drop both explosive traps for Wandering Monsters, or maybe one of each to see which one performs better.
I'd recommend 2 Raptor Hatchling as they are a one drop that gives you another one drop, which can then be pulled by Tol'vir.
I'd probably also lose a stampede, a candleshot and the starving buzzard. Instead put in 2 alleycats (since their deaths will synergize with Corridor Creeper) and the Death Knight (for helping in the longer game as well as a decent stall mechanic). Then your card draw engines are either the Marsh Queen (once she gives you all the raptors) or the Death Knight (and you can craft cards to sustain yourself).
And I'm curious, so I'll actually try out my own recommendations and see how this does. I'm currently rank 14 (had no desire to rank up this month and played arena almost exclusively except to complete some quests), so I'll see how my build does and report back.

considering I have 16000 wins and am over 2K wins with many classes, yes, yes yes! Even better if they reward packs or dust, but I'd be fine with cosmetic changes (like hero skins, hero portraits, etc).
Or maybe if you get to 2000 wins with a class, whenever you play that class, your deck is turned Golden for the game (cards revert back to their normal status after the game). Could be a cool feature (although possibly difficult to implement).

has blizzard EVER buffed any cards? This is just a pipe dream, since we've never seen this happen yet. Why even consider it?
For both Illidian and Al'Akir, no need to buff them. Just create alternate versions like Ragnaros or Deathwing. Then, they could still be iconic without actually changing the originals.
For the DK's, they shouldn't all be equally playable otherwise they would also need to balance quests and weapons as we are seeing the same trend with those unique class legendaries. And Garrosh DK can be used successfully in a Warrior Quest deck. Plus, he might get more support with new card releases or even with the reset in April.
And for any basic card, those are supposed to be worse than any class cards or expansion cards.

I'm going with Ant. I looked at a lot of the decklists and he is one of the only ones NOT running Highlander Priest, which I despise
