    And then:

    year 5: 3 expansions

    year 6: 3 expansions

    year 7: 3 expansions

    and so on...

Hearthstone standard is still very much in its infancy and Blizzard has been revamping its release schedule for content.  Give it a couple more years and everything will begin to normalize.

    Quote from GiantDwarf0 >>

Here's the thing, the simple fact that you log in and play every day is not providing any value to blizzard. There are no ads for you to watch, so you're simply not contributing to the bottom line.

These are all nice ideas. I certainly wouldn't mind getting more "free" stuff in game; but you're being naive if you expect better rewards for players who create no revenue.

What might actually happen and would be a really good idea would be more of the "welcome bundle" of whatever they called that pack promotion around the ONiK release. People who don't otherwise put money into the game actually ponied up for that.

But they are kind of contributing, by providing incentives for people to be logged in more increases the odds that they'll buy a couple of pack as opposed to if they weren't.  Say for example if every time you walked into a Gamestop they gave you 50 power point (let's assume here that power points are actually worth something), you'd want to visit Gamestop more often as a result and the longer you spend in the store increases the odds you'll make an impulse buy which then generates revenue for the store.

Other games do this because they're that desperate for players, and they also made the odd choice of making the minimum deck size 20000000 cards instead of something reasonable. Hearthstone has none of these issues.

Desperate for players or not, some of these policies are good at generating good will and loyalty within their communities.  And even if Hearthstone doesn't have the same issues that smaller card games have doesn't mean Blizzard shouldn't have a vested interest in keeping its player base happy.  Or would you rather Blizzard treat us all like idiots?

posted a message on A short list of things Blizzard could do to reward loyal and returning players

This is a list of things I think Blizzard could do to make the experience more rewarding for loyal players and perhaps improve the overall attitude of the community ATM.  These are all based off ideas I've either witnessed in other games or seen expressed throughout the HS community.

    1)  Add a good game button at the end a game and reward players for pressing it.
This is something currently being done in the Gwent beta that I am a big fan of it as it at least helps give the appearance of a positive community experience.  The reward could be small like say 5 dust for every 3 times you've pressed with a daily cap of 100 dust which will be helpful to new, F2P, and budget players.

    2)  Bring back daily login rewards.
Obviously these shouldn't be as generous as the rewards leading up to Un'goro but I think they should return nevertheless.  A way they could set it up is on a seven day rotation where the rewards get slightly larger as the week progresses to reward players who are consistently logging in everyday.  I think a good payout structure would be by the end of the week you'll have 100 dust, 50 gold, and either a classic pack or a pack from an older set that's still in standard like WoToG.

    3)  Offer a small welcome back gift for players who haven't logged in for more than two weeks.
I think a small gift of say 20 gold would be a decent show of good will for players who have perhaps taken a break or been unable to play for a while.  As if to say "welcome back, we've missed you".

    4)  Increase the reward for some of the daily quests.
This suggestion mostly refers to the 40 gold quests that don't include winning 2 games with X or X class, some of them take a little too long to complete and aren't worth the effort.

    5)  Lower the pity timer for legendaries from 40 to either 35 or 30.
Since the highest amount of packs you can buy in the store is 60 packs for about 70$, and I feel that if you're going to be spending that much you should at least be guaranteed 2 legendaries for your money.

    6)  More Bundles.
Basically take the welcome bundle, apply it to each set and release it say a month after the expansions release.

I wouldn't want all of these ideas ideas to be implemented together into the game but, if someone at blizzard draws inspiration from at least a couple of them I'd be satisfied.  I believe Blizzard should have a vested interest in the happiness in their player base as that will keep them coming back and spreading positive word of mouth which could lead to new players.

Let me know what you think of these ideas as well as any tweaks that could be made or criticisms you have of them.

Updated the deck a bit.  It's now more aggressive and can handle aggro much better than before.  I'll go into some of the most common match-ups I've faced so far.

Taunt Warrior:  Difficult but not impossible, Prepare to play around copious amounts of AoE.
Quest Rogue:  They don't do anything important during the first few turns so mulligan aggressive for early tempo and swipes, and you'll be fine.
Time Warp Mage:  Be wary of AoE and pray that they don't have Ice Block.
Midrange Hunter:  Control the board and use Finja to swarm the board and push for damage when you can.

Everything else is to small a sample size to make any concrete conclusions right now.

I recently opened Finja, but I lack Deathwing, Bittertide Hydra, and a second copy of Gentle Megasaur, so I haven't tried this list out yet.

I've been exploring a sort of Midrange MenagerieLock lately though. It has The Curator and Menagerie Magician, the Water Package murlocs, and as many good dragons and beasts as I could find. Getting a mixed board state of beasts, dragons, and/or murlocs is challenging against someone focused on controlling your board but I've had a few fun games where Magician payed off. My current list is a bit heavy/greedy, but I'll probably post about it once I've made the necessary adjustments to survive the early game against non-quest decks.

Sounds good, I had to craft everything though I still don't have the Hydra so I threw in a Stubborn Gastropod.  What rank have you been testing at?  I'm around 9/10 and the current version was really struggling with midrange and aggro decks so I've been doing some revisions after going 0-3. putting in another gastropod, doomsayer, and a Starfall for removal, and am currently 3-0.
Funnily enough I considered removing Savage Roar but then it ended up winning most of my games for me. XD

Any success with this ? Im looking for a strong deck with water package, megasaur and curator, something that isnt a shaman 😁

Kind of, the original version is a little too slow and greedy for the current meta so I've been experimenting with a slimmer version that I'll put up after I get more testing in.  All the testing has been at rank 9/10 BTW.

I would argue that all your silver hand cards sucks. Vinecleaver is too slow. Turn 7 you can't kill what your opponent plays with 4 power, and two 1/1's are meh at this point too.

Lost in the Jungle is good in a nutshell. It's just too weak to win you the early game. You are better off payingEmerald Hive Queen for early game. It's also a beast.

Lightfused Stegodon does not have enough Silver Hand Recruit support to be good in standard at this point.

    Just my two cents.

Those are all fair points, hopefully next set will make recruits useful again.  Any suggestions for replacements for Vinecleaver and Lightfused Stegodon?

I'm fairly new to Paladin decks that aren't Anyfin, and I wanted to make a midrange deck with out the quest and made use of the Silver hand recruit synergy of Lightfused Stegodon and Sunkeeper Tarim.  Somewhere along the way I ended up adding a Curator theme to offer more consistent board presence.

Why only four secrets?  Some of that secret synergy depends on secrets in hand / in play.  Would Arcanologist really be reliable enough?

I didn't want to risk harming the consistency of the Elemental part of the deck.  I could see going up to five secrets though to help with consistency on that end.  I'm also considering replacing Igneous Elemental with Fire Fly since it'll be easier to slip into the curve.

    No Mirror Image for tempo?

Just couldn't find room for it honestly.

If you replace the Ice Barriers with Ice Blocks, you'd have better guarantee of triggers for Medivh's Valet.  That 3 damage on a 2/3 for 2 is kickass.

I think 2 Ice Block would be over kill and wouldn't help a tempo oriented deck like this much.  I see what you mean though, and it wouldn't be too bad an idea to change 1 of the Ice Barriers for an Ice Block.
Hope that answered some of your questions.

So after being severely disappointed in the mage specific Elemental support I decided I should at least try to do something with it.  However it felt the mage elemental synergies were more interested in generating bad cards then actually developing tempo, though it did improve in the late game slots.  As such I began to think of another forgotten Mage archetype that actually got some good support this set, Secret Mage, and decided to try and hybridize the two utilizing the secret theme for early game and leveraging the elemental theme to provide power for the mid-late game.

posted a message on Which quest mage is the best quest mage? (Post your decks)

I preferred a more Control Mage style in the spirit of Reno Mage with some of Freeze Mages stall tactics.

I run the OTK with Alexstrasza and two Arcane Giant (used to have a Molten Giant but wanted more control tools) and use Burgly Bully (the coins also count towards the quest) and Archmage Antonidas as an alternate win condition.  I'm playing Meteor for the sake of science and when you just have a massive Hate-boner for a certain minion.

Added another tech card for you to consider. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on what I had to say and whether you feel I understood what you were aiming for with your deck. :)

Certainly, I'll start from the top.
The aim of the deck was initially to explore the inter-racial play between Gentle Megasaur and murlocs using the Curator to facilitate that.
Since this deck is meant to act as a sort of midrange/control deck I wasn't too interested in swarming the board with murlocs and instead wanted to focus on the stronger ones that'll actually provide real board presence and value.  A good way to look at Megasaur is if you only hit one murloc with it, then it's effectively the same as a Crackling Razormaw which is a good card in midrange Hunter, and any other hits beyond that can be seen as a bonus.
Sated Threshadon's pretty interesting as it's another example of the cross-race synergy that inspired the deck in the first place.  I've been worried about how to guarantee Primalfin Lookout's battlecry both in the early and late game and Threhadon may be the extra push I need.  Thanks for that suggestion, probably gonna use that as my replacement for moonglade portal.
You're pretty spot on in assessing my use of the water package.  Though lookout "waters down" the package it's still a solid Murloc body that benefits Megasaur.
Not much to add on the Curator segment.  I will say though that I intentionally limited the number of Beast I put in the deck to better guarantee pulling a Megasaur when I wanted it.
I did think of Corrupted Seer when building the deck but have never liked the card for it's abysmal stats to mana ratio, plus it waters down the murloc pool even more.  For now I still prefer Primordial drake for it's better stats and dragon tag and I could always discover seer with lookout for a win/win.
Menagerie Magician is an interesting choice.  I'll have to do some testing to see how often I have a mixed board after turn 5 before making a decision on it.  The dream scenario of course is turn 9 with Finja already on board pulling two more murlocs followed by Megasaur into Magician.
I don't think I have enough beasts in the deck to be able to consistently make use of Menagerie Warden.  Though the faceless cards could be good depending on how the meta turns out.
Crazed Alchemist is a strong tech/utility choice whose value is heavily dictated by the state of the meta.  A good example would be when ZooLock made a comeback after Whispers of the old Gods released people began teching Doomsayers against them so they in turn teched in Alchemist.
You brought up a lot of good points, some of which I hadn't even thought of and you don't have to worry about whether you missed the point of the deck because you didn't.  This is probably the deck I'm most excited about building and testing once Un'goro releases, since it's kind of a non-obvious archetype and I've pored so much thought into it.

Been working on this for a while now, and am a little stuck on how to improve it.
The crux of this deck is using the Curator to pull Finja, The Flying Star and Gentle Megasaur, then after Finja pulls more Murlocs drop Megasaur for massive value.

Constructive feedback is appreciated.  the card I'm most uncertain about is Moonglade Portal.

Made a major update to the deck.  The original version was too slow so I re-focused the deck to steal wins with burst damage after getting a bunch of Murlocs on board and buffing them with Savage Roar and/or Power of the Wild.  Backup win condition is using Living Mana to flood the board in case I've already gone through all the Murlocs.  Deathwing has also managed to swing some games for me as well.
Threw in an Enchanted Raven to help early game as well, and so far it has helped.

Here's a break down of the changed cards:
    Removed:                                             Added:
    Sated Threshadon        Enchanted Raven
Bittertide Hydra            Power of the Wild

Interesting card, more flexible and yet just as unplayable as Soul of the Forest.

Though to be fair, I get why blizzard gave it this mana cost when you consider that there's a 30% chance of this being a strictly better bloodlust.
