As someone who's played hearthstone seriously since the beginning and done every daily quest and spent it all on packs and unlocking all adventures, still only around a 60-65% collection. That's the best you can do as a F2P account without arena farming, I'm afraid.
1. Jade idol isn't the thing that kills control decks, it's auctioneer
2. There's way more counterplay involved with Jade Druid. It's an actual game of hearthstone even if you get stomped, very different than just praying rogue draws bad and getting killed by turn 6 if they don't.
3. Most control decks can beat jade Druid, it's not a great matchup but it's definitely possible. The only deck that doesn't stand a chance in my experience is control warrior, but it's a bad meta for control warrior anyway so why would you play that?
4. Adjust your play style or deck to better counter the thing that's kicking your ass instead of complaining about it.
Priest in general because of turn 2 radiant elemental+power word shield+potion of madness. I really like playing hunter which can do ok vs priest but I hate that feeling when they just draw the perfect hand and it's like cool turn 1 and I already lost this game.... feels really bad.
I only say "greetings traveler" when I kill my opponent when playing hunter. Cause it's hunter, you should BM a little bit. I don't see it as trying to rub my opponents face in the loss or anything it's all in good fun.
You can reach legend with any tier 1 or 2 deck as long as you:
1. Have a couple hundred hours this month to play HS.
2. Pay attention to your mistakes/misplays and learn from them. Get better. Take your playing seriously and if something doesn't work don't keep trying it. Some people will say just play an aggro deck and go all in every turn and hit face but in my experience that will not get you a good enough win rate to hit legend. You have to be able to play around stuff, yes, even with pirate warrior.
King Mosh. Clearing the entire board and developing a 9/7 seems so strong for only a 2 card combo I can definitely see it finding a place in a control warrior deck one day.
