I would actually think they knew about this before and were prepared to push this given the reaction time

they started doing heavy testing not so long ago, and some of these cards they knew were problematic, they just werent sure how much, and it's different when you have even 1000 people testing(which I highly doubt they do), and when millions of people play it

the data over the first day confirmed what they were suspecting so they pushed the nerf asap for which, again, they were prepared

I think they wanted people to have some fun with DH and they knew that during frist few weeks most people will be playing withd DH as it's the first new class in HS

no, that's how it used to work for no dupes for legendaries back before these changes

now if you ever collected a card it is marked on the server as collected, and even if you de it, it never changes, it's made so that if someone gets a card that they don't want and de it, they won't get it in the packs until they have all other cards of that rarity

and once you get all the cards once then forever you'll be getting random ones(unless it's classic set and they actually add new cards to it)

 because there was no need to, it doesn't matter what version of the card you have, golden or not-golden, you still have that card, so for the sake of the pack opening algortithms it's obviously marked as collected

I got yesterday 2 golden legs from the preorders and crafted one golden leg myself, did not get them in the packs and managed to get all otehr remaining legendaries first (had a crazy pack opening btw, all legendaries and a few on top in 223 packs)

edit: forgot to mention that some of the legendaries from the packs were golden too and they clearly followed the no duplicate rule as well

The least Blizz can do to make this card playable is to keep the same mana cost, make Jaraxxus a hero card and give it 5 armor. The 15 hp can remain the same.

The OP has merit in theory - and he is correct in saying that if top streamers were to implement it, then the rest would follow.  The majority are sheeple who just copy everyone else.  You only need to look for when Thijs (etc) plays a new deck and it's in the meta within 24hrs.

The sheeple are in denial though, and they don't wish to actually think about their position - so they'll continue to criticise and marginalise.

 there is a big flaw in thinking that any streamer would actually implement it though

people watch streams to see how people play the game not how they are conceding, do you really think that big streamers like Kripp or Thijs would start conceding their games? for what? they can get the same or better results by playing the game

it took me literally 15 minutes and 4 games to get halfway through silver rank from bronze 10, and that was with only 6x multiplier, with higher multipliers you'd just fly through low ranks

 I agree it is dumb, however since inquisitive is a mage only card and deputization is pally only the chances of them being played together are pretty slim. So rest in the fact you should hardly ever get destroyed by it at least.

I would argue that you should never dust anything other than cards that have been recently nerfed or cards you have more than one of (or golden cards you dont think you will ever use).  The dust return is so poor that it's rarely worth it.

The way the dust/card system is designed you can fairly quickly get all the common and rare cards.  You will also get a couple of legendary cards quite quickly from the rewards track and pity timer (1 legendary in your first 10 packs of each set is garuanteed I think).  You will never get duplicates until you have all of that rarity of card, and when you do get a duplicate from the reward track you can re-roll it to something else.

In the "My Collection" section you can use the search keywords "refund"  to see which cards give full dust refund and "extra" to see your duplicate cards

As a final thought - I always tend to craft neutral legendaries in preference to class legendaries because they generally have more flexibility and you can use them with every class.  Class legendaries do tend to have more powerful and unigue effects though.

This is such a bullshit. They said nothing about this when Twist or Caverns of Time was released (only said that CoT set would be usable in at least 3 months for Twist). This is yet another Activision-Blizzard rug pull like Overwatch 2 PvE mode.

 If you go and re-read the initial Twist announcements, they actually did say this.  I personally thought it was pretty clear, but I guess not everyone read through the entire announcement.  Or because they didn't specify exactly what they meant not everyone was able to understand it.  But if you read the first couple paragraphs of the original launch announcement, it states that it may be "deactivated from time to time".

If its their experimental beta test sandbox, give the cards for free and dont rip off the mothers whose kids stole their credit card to be able to keep up in this game.

Is not only that Tony (and all other Exodia decks) feel really bad to play against, cause you feel hostage in a game you play as good as you could, and still lost while your opponent was playing mostly alone.

The Thing is that with Tony Druid you can lose faster than against an Aggro deck. I had matches against Pirate Rogue that ended in turn 9, and matches against Tony Druid that ended in turn 5. And we are talking about a deck whose entire strategy consists in drawing their entire deck. It dosn't even feel like a Combo deck. It feels like an Heroic Boss from an Adventure.

I still think that Tony, King of Piracy was one of the worst HS designs in a long time cause is a card that is usless unless that is toxic, but Gadgetzan Auctioneer was a problematic card since forever.

Losing to combo is a worse feeling than loosing to aggro, also wastes more time
