Hey I just went 17-1 from Diamond 5 no stars to legend with control deathrattle priest. It outlasts both druid and death knight. It handles rogue pretty easy you just need to use your silence spells at the right times when you can clear the board as well. Also whirlpool wrecks rogue.

How good is Sister Svalna in this deck? Not got this card and hesitant to craft as I've not seen it much.
I hate Ramp Druid as much as any decent person, but this time I think the culprit is DH.
Unleash Fel has purged early aggression out of the meta. Unless you can make big minions very early (aka Rogue), theres no point in being aggressive on ladder, as this atrocity of a card can just wipe out your entire board of small minions (with Arcanist or Trader) and heal DH back to full health, no aggro can beat that.
Who loves an aggro-free meta? Yep, Ramp Druid. Defying all canon, the brothers have each others back, demolishing anyone who tries to farm their kin.
Unleash Fel needs to be nuked out of orbit, PERIOD. As long as DH plays that shit, no other aggressive class but Rogue can hope to succeed, and the Druid - DH - Rogue deadlock cant be broken.
One expansion week in and im already in the nerf waiting room, FUCK this meta.
1 damage AoE spells have been around for a long time and certainly not limited to DH. Even with Lifesteal and tradable (which Paladin has) or increasing damage (which Priest has). Or 1-costed (which Warrior has). The list goes on. A 1-damage AoE really should not be able to end your day as an aggro deck unless you are somehow relying on 1-health minions which is not a good game plan against ANY deck really. Especially in a meta where so many classes can ping easily and heal now.
This card is not played for 1 damage. It is used in combination with +spell damage and it does indeed fully heal the DH if you are wide on board. Due to the nature of the deck fast cycling they will almost always have the combination too. It is quite punishing but I'm not sure I agree that it's the reason aggro isn't played because I've not personally seen that many people running the deck so far.
Edit: Seems to be a surge in popularity as I've played against it in probably 25% of games now today
Personally I think this meta is basically Yu-Gi-Oh garbage. Absurd power creep has led to a prevalence of solitaire decks that have the power to essentially win in 3-4 turns and barely interact with the opponent.
It's a shame because the new DK class is fun to play and I am still enjoying playing against opponents in casual mode who are occasionally at least still trying to experiment with some of the new cards and less popular classes.
But in regards to the strongest decks I hope they don't take too long to rebalance because I'd rather not play the game than play against ramp druid/DR rogue/miracle rogue/Discolock(wild) currently who all just play their own game and are the highest tier.
While I don’t think priest is given special treatment this deck has been pretty cancerous for a very long time now in wild. I understand “let wild be wild” it would be nice if they did a little more changes to keep things interesting.
And since you don't gain anything from thinning out your deck at this point (because The Demon Seed is long gone), it's just inferior vanilla Arcane Intellect (outside of discard deck).
No being able to thin the deck is good, later in the game you want higher cost/impact cards. Being able to draw 3 cards and discard the 1 cost spell/minion you don’t need is very good. There’s a reason why tracking still see’s play in hunter. Sometimes also you’re searching for an answer, such as needing your Reno against face decks. You’d rather draw 3 than 2 in these cases despite discarding 1.
it’s not always going to be better than arcane intellect but it’s certainly a very strong card.
Not good at all. Sad that this is legendary as well. What if you topdeck it? Anyway Rogues nowadays have many ways to combo the life out of you. This is just greedy to the point that it's bad. May try it if I open it, but I'm never crafting in.
Lol, this card is very, very good. This will be a staple in every single rogue deck outside of heavy aggro lists. Being able to play additional low cost / 0 cost spells is huge for combo cards such as Edwin’s, sinstone & draka. Arguably one of the best cards in the set and will see play in both standard and wild.
Leaving Big Priest as it is in Wild is honestly just beyond my understanding. People have complained about the theme of the deck forever and it's had continued support. There is no fun for the opposing deck and it's the majority of my games even in casual mode now because of how easy it is to pilot and the absurd power of it.
Neptulon is busted in more than just priest in Wild. Honestly it just needs to be banned but I dont expect it to happen. I'm currently running a deathrattle rogue that frequently gets it out by turns 3-6. It's generally auto win when it does. See picture attached for turn 4 double Neptulon. Opponent conceded.
The issue is Sketchy Information triggering Kobold Illusionist. So, Kobold to 5.
Sure, but you could list several decks that summon Neptulon early game and each one you could blame the "trigger". Silly to blame/nerf every single trigger when at the end of the day, it's Neptulon that is creating these insane swing turns. I just think the card should be banned, there's nothing healthy about this card existing in Wild.

Ok thanks, nothing in there so I guess I wasn't included! Is a shame because it would have definitely incentivized me to come back, weird as I would have thought I met the criteria after spending a good chunk over the years.
I haven't played in over a year and after reading this thread I decided to re-install Hearthstone. I've not had any free 20-150 packs though, do you know what the requirement is for this deal? I'm from the UK.
Honestly Legend hasn't meant much for almost a year comparatively since the change. If you're gonna quite now you might as well have done last year. Ergo continue playing and care less about rank, ironically you'll also probably do better. That said gratz on your first time man.

this will be interesting because it will just showcase the absolute shit show this meta is.
