I'm not finding any mage decks that can be competitive in the new meta.  anyone else feeling the same?

Freeze mage - countered by pirates

Secret mage - not viable

Reno mage - countered by Jade and pirates

Tempo mage - not working for me

I don't think freeze is great right now.  Pirate warrior will beat u.  Druids can beat you with their gain 8 armor cards

I used to think hearthstone sucked on Android but I think it's gotten better now.  I play almost exclusively on my android phone.

So anyways maybe it wouldn't be so bad on an Android tablet anymore either.  But I wouldn't get one of those budget Walmart tablets.  Safest bet is iPad though, even tho I prefer Android, they don't have great history with their tablets.

You don't think blizzard could tell whether he crafted that card or not?  I'm sure they have a history of all that stuff so that type of scam wouldn't work.

Regardless I do think he's out of luck, blizzard probably isnt going to devote resources for this type of stuff

I believe him, why are you guys so rude and calling him a liar?  What reason would be have to make this up?

Haven't tried tempo mage in new meta yet.

Freeze mage did not seem viable, true there are less control warriors but freeze will lose to pirate warrior.  Also jade druids can be challenging with mounting pressure from constant renewable Jade board, +16 armors gains and possibly heals as well.

I played reno mage for the first couple days.  It's really fun but not competitive.

I'm not sure Solia is essential either.  I also found myself wondering if I should cut her for something else.  Its good tempo when it works out but often it's just a dead card and you struggle to get optimal value.  One good combo though is solia into kazkkus spell that reanimates 3 minions and then buffs minions health.  In that case you'll end up with 4 very powerful minions.  Often times though you need the kazkkus aoe spell so this doesn't always work.

Pirate warrior > Jade druid > Control

And yet I think pirate warrior still has a good chance of beating control (esp reno control) because it's so fast and they may not have drawn answers.  Maybe that will change as people start teching more for pirate warrior.

It feels like the kabal classes are slightly weaker because they got reno legendaries which aren't very competitive, except maybe reno lock.  I think mage may have got worst end of the deal.

I have my doubts that tempo will.be effective in new meta.  It feels like most other classes got some power creep but tempo mage did not get any new tools.  Reno mage is better than before but still not consistent and often too slow vs Jade decks

So been playing Reno now, overall pretty cool, but I can't handle all these Jade decks.  You remove ba minion or aoe the board and they re back even bigger next round

OK that was my suspicion too because I tried secret mage in the past and it didn't work.  I tried it again, and the new cards help but still not enough to make secret deck competitive imo.

Just crafted Solia and Kaz, we'll see how that goes :P  I'm worried it will be about the same as before though.  Yes it may be a little more powerful but that won't matter if aggro kills you on round 7 or whatever.  Oh well, should be fun regardless

I just decided to start with secret mage because I realized I already had most the parts.  Will try that to start with and maybe Reno next.

YOu get 33% of however many packs you opened before 2:30.  That's where they came from

Hey all trying to decide if I want to craft 2x of all these secret type cards or just play a Reno mage with Kazakus & Solia.

Has anyone had a chance to try out either one of these or both of these?  Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!
