    Finally getting back to finish this adventure. I first tried with this deck, but after 90 minutes of trying to get the *exact* perfect hand while not dying, I tried yours, and it was much closer. I found it was a bit too spell-heavy, however, and didn't have very good answers to Waxadred and Ragnaros, so I made the following substitions:

    • Spirit of the Dead x2 >  Sandhoof Waterbearer x2
    • Grave Rune x 2 > Shadow Word: Death x2
    • Mass Hysteria x2 > Hysteria x2 (cheaper, and perfect to kill the chunkier mid-game minions like Waxadred or Escaped Manasaber)
    • Shadow Word: Horror x2 > Shadow Essence x1 + one extra Rotten Applebaum (Horror hits too many of your own minions to be worth it, in my opinion)

    Took me 3 tries, but once you got a taunt + Kel'Thuzad, you can just focus on Togwaggle and finish him off in 2 or 3 turns.

    posted a message on Heroic Nithogg - Big Spells Mage

    This list was terrible against Heroic Nithogg -- he starts with a 2-mana lead on you, and his deck is full of overload burn spells and high-health minions that synergize with overload (Tunnel Trogg, Unstable Elemental, etc.). The Tar Creepers and Acolytes just get rolled over by his buffed minions. Also, any 2-health minion you play is just fodder for his hero power, which fills his side of the board with 4/4 rushers. 

    A better approach: Keep the Doomsayers, Voodoo Dolls and Arcane Keysmith, ditch all the other minions. Run some Crystal Runners and a full suite of secrets: Counterspell x2, Flame Ward x2, Ice Block. Add some early removal spells, like Lost Torch, Polymorph, as well as one or two Frost Novas.

    Keep your Doomsayers to combo with freezes when he gets a big board, such as Eye of the Storm at 10 mana. Use the Voodoo Dolls and Polymorphs for his big dragons, like the Emerald Explorers, Ysera and Malygos.

    Keep stalling and clearing his board, and eventually, he'll run out of minions. Once he nears fatigue, you can then focus on burning him and playing multiple minions in a turn to overwhelm him.

    For the people asking: Because the random secrets come into into play as you cast this, it WON'T give you copies of active secrets.

    Still bad though, because currently, two paladin secrets are useless (Eye for an Eye, Well of Wisdom), and the rest are completely situational.

    This seems under-statted (or over-costed) for the effect. As is, other than powering up your "dragon in hand" cards, I don't see why you would run this card at all.

    In effect, this turns your Choose One spells into "Tripletspells", since they will all have the same cost.

    Overall, it seems we're veering away from 'combo' and that 'value' (with limits) will be pushed with this expansion. Remains to be seen if that can compete with aggressive-midrange strategies.

    Any idea how the bosses correlate to the standard classes in regards to gold? I played the Brushwood Centurion in my first brawl, but got a second "win" notification for some reason...

    The Centurion has a lot of warrior cards (Amani Berserker, Cleave, Whirlwind, etc.), so he's probably warrior.

    Deathrattles trigger AFTER a minion has died, meaning it must be the only minion on your side of the battlefield to trigger (and also have no deck and no cards in hand).

    I'm not sure equipped weapons count as being "on the battlefield"; I hope we get an official clarification regarding that soon. (And in the same vein, are secrets considered "on the battlefield" during your turn?)

    All in all, seems a difficult effect to achieve with the current card pool.

    I think Rush is going to take over that position.  Any time you need to clear minions you're going to need your own board development.  Or put up a Taunt wall. 

    That seems unrealistic -- before turn 5, you can at most play two rush minions (only one in most circumstances), while paladins spew threats 3 or 4 at a time thanks to Call to ArmsLost in the Jungle and the recruits from Jailer. Same thing with "normal" taunts* at that mana cost; the aggressive player can just dictate trades, leaving you on the defensive for whatever time remains in your match.

    * The exception of course is warlock who can cheat out Voidlords at that point, and duplicate that defense rather easily in the next few rounds.

    Now that all the cards have been revealed, I find it strange that no one is getting a replacement for their area-of-effect spells/minions that are rotating out:

    Priest: Pint-Size Potion, Shadow Word: Horror, Dragonfire Potion

    Mage: Volcanic Potion, Twilight Flamecaller

    Shaman: DevolveMaelstrom Portal

    Meanwhile, warlocks got Curse of Weakness and Lord Godfrey, making them stronger against aggressive and midrange decks. 

    I am completely baffled as to how Blizzard can't see how this completely handicaps many archetypes, while making the top deck even better.

    What divine shield? It's got taunt and lifesteal, and only when the attack gets a +1.
