This may be good in arena.  This is similar to a razorfen hunter but instead its a 3/2 and 3/2 is actually stronger than 2/3.  And if you don't get a minion it'll be a a one mana draw.  And I think trump values draws at 1.5 mana.

So because of the randomness its either a 3.5 mana minion or worth slightly better than a razorfen (but a razorfen isn't good).

You have to compare soulfire with backstab.  I think it is a balanced card.  It's a tempo card.

Average dust value sounds good.  Someone told me once that it was 100 but I think that was a rough estimate.

Wow I must be really unlucky.  I open arena packs only so maybe they're less lucky, :D

Interesting, so if I opened 57 packs how many legendaries should I get?

So can you extrapolate the number of people in queue to number of people playing arena at the same time?

When do you need to start using the trick?  And does it even work?

Can you explain the mulliganing?  Does it mean that if you have any of those thing then you should keep it?

As you said before Void Terror and Power Overwhelming helped you win the deck.

I felt that after my changes I lost a lot and the deck was to slow, not enough damage.

Also maybe the ooze isn't needed anymore.  Haunted creeper vs ooze?  Haunted creeper has more bodies and synergizes with quite a few minions.

    • -2 undertaker
    • -2 zombie chow
    • -2 power overwhelming
    • -2 void terror
    • -2 Haunted Creeper
    • +2 abusive sergeants
    • +2 elven archer
    • +2 argent squire
    • +2 shatter sun cleric
    • +2 ooze

okay, and so you're saying I should have enough enablers without power overwhelming and void terror?

That's seems reasonable with the sergeant, dwarf, argus, suns.

And I'll try switching out the creepers for ooze.  I do see a lot of weapons.

I'm currently testing a budget version of this deck because I don't have the extra naxx wings.

    • -2 undertaker
    • -2 zombie chow
    • +1 abusive sergeant
    • +2 argent squire
    • +1 elven archer

I'm not really sure what to keep.  And I could also add shattered sun clerics if I feel I need more power.

One thing that I like from street fighter is that the ranked mode tells you how many people are ranked above you, be it 100, 2000, or 9999. I suppose they only do this for legend rank as otherwise it might get kinda depressing seeing "999,999" next to your name, but at the same time, I'd like some concrete visual as to how good I'm actually doing.

After all, legend is just a title, rank 5 is just a title, they barely have any relevance to how good someone is. With just a 51% winrate, you can grind to legend too. Now I get why they used this sort of ranking system instead of say an ELO ranking, it boosts morale, but at the same time I wish their ranking system wasn't so skewed towards grinding. I have a job, can't play all day any more, and it feels I could get the "acheivement" of legendary, if I grinded hard enough. That really shouldn't be the case - if my ELO is 1800, I should achieve my ranking, or try to improve it by playing better, not by grinding harder.

It is in the best interest of the game designer company to obscure player skill, and to reward grinding. If anyone can in 5 minutes figure out that they are bad at a game (via ELO), what incentive is there to improve for the very casual majority of players? And if someone has really great play skill, why should they be rewarded a high rank if they only have time 1 hour per week for the game?

I mean, I guess. But I still don't like it. I used to play Hero Academy, and we had a player run league with ELO style rankings, and that really made the game. I used to play Go, and on Go there's a formal ranking that's kind of like ELO, and of course Chess has ELO.

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like arbitrary grinding for ranks. I guess I should get good enough to get into legendary with minimal grinding then. ;)

MtG no longer uses ELO at Regular level tournaments. It was bad from a business perspective. They now have "Planeswalker points", which is basically grinding. The more you attend, the more tournament games you play and win, the higher the score.

That sounds similar to masterpoints for bridge.
