I think it's going to do just fine, which is quite conversely from how today's meta is.
Why would someone even bother to make a post about; A fully free, optional game mode alongside the other game modes.
Perhaps it is the same people who complain about battlegrounds. Somehow, it's exactly those "optional" game modes that make Hearthstone bearable in the long-term.
Not even a little of toxicity, just wondering why its never celebrated on their end for their player base. Trust me, HS is not something I would stress myself over but something I recently noticed.
You should re-read your post, considering you got everything wrong
How steep in toxicity have you fallen to complain about free packs. We have always gotten free packs for CNY/Lunar, while we've never gotten anything besides a cardback for Christmas.
i hope you do realize that there are more than Americans and Europeans that play the game. asia is a big market, and they could've just removed the packs from EU/NA players.
*and some legendary quest/packs actually. but doesn't detract from the point
Owned after the duplicate protection rule and disenchanted counts as owned. They did that not long after introducing it to stop people easilyfarming nerfed cards for bonus dust.
>easily farming
I mean, yes, putting your credit card number is easy. But having to pay money to "easily farm" dust not so much.
I cannot say I like the new skins (even those at level 50), as they feel too cheap. When it comes to the Tavern Pass and the +20% EXP increase, it amounts to 20€ for 15-25 packs (~20 packs depending on how much time you spend on the game). And honestly, 20€ even for 25 (2500G) packs is nothing to brag home about (considering you actually have to play to get the extra experience). I passed on the "Tavern Pass" and will pass again. I'm at level 60, and almost 4K gold after purchasing the "mini-expansion".
Overall, I'm sure it appeals to the collectors, and that's what Blizzard had in mind. But I can't imagine as much for most people who spend a reasonable amount of time and money on this game. It simply boils down to "cosmetics" that everyone with the pass receives or actual value. And I can't find the value in 25 (2500G) packs for 20€ over the course of 3-4 months, where I'm forced to play to earn my rewards. Sometimes I take a break from Hearthstone, other times I don't, but that would diminish my gains on the pass.
Are you actually so pathetically lazy and/or possessing such a fickle and frail ego that you can’t push one squelch button per match? If so you’re problems extend well beyond a perceived ‘BM’ emote. Grow up or get out
Take a chill pill. There's virtually no reason for them to not add "auto-squelch" other than them admiting that the community is toxic. I mean, you're a good example of a toxic member to the community.
Aside from the discount to 0 stuff its clear why u arent in the dev team. I can understand tickatus being 8 mana too
Why do people make comments like this; insulting, yet no backing up their comment. You're better off just not replying at all, as you contribute nothing to the table.
While I don't quite agree with all of his points, (1) and (5) are valid, and (3) with discover is certainly an issue in the current meta. Discover used to have a trade off with less tempo, while there is simply too much value-creation with combination of cards and powercreep that some matches feel like they are being drafted while you play the game at no loss of tempo.
Some of the discovers are also quite consistent, so that you're cheesing out the limit 2-cards in a deck. The discover mechanics certainly needs a rework, or a change.
I can agree with (1), and (3) to some extent. Discover, and value creation in hearthstone is so strong. It should be limited to 1 specific cost, and/or not a cost that can generate more value.
The trade-off has usually been; you create value but lose tempo, or momentum in some other way. But discover in combination with power-creep has virtually no caveats.

Lots of wild guides out there; from each expansion/adventure, there's only a handful of cards that are worth keeping.

> have more gold
> spend more gold on mini-expansion
how is it much different? i did get the new potrait, which is nice :-), but i did also spend more time on the game.
