jsager99 posted a message on Warmaul ChallengerPosted in: Warmaul ChallengerThis card has a really interesting interaction with Commanding Shout and Frothing Berserker. If you can stick a berserker and they have a huge blocker, you can play Commanding Shout to make your Warmaul Challenger unkillable, chip down their taunt 1-hp at a time, then hit them in the face with your giant Berserker. If there is enough support for a tempo pain build (maybe difficult with Acolyte of Pain leaving standard), this could be a good removal/finisher combo.

Vision136 posted a message on Why is the hearthstone community staying silent?Posted in: General DiscussionAs for the Hammer, watch the reveal video that Trump did for it, he explains that it's an ability from WoW.
And as for your other complaints, the 9 classes are pretty dang balanced if you ask me, there isn't any oppressive decks at the moment, and Shaman is the only class that doesn't have a tier 2 or better deck. Plus, adding Demon Hunter is an awesome way to spice up the game and give a sense of newness to everything. It'll be fun, don't worry about that.
Shaman has only had 2 cards revealed so far, be patient, and they don't look that bad at all. 2 mana deal 8? That's fantastic if you ask me.
Lastly, the Vargoth thing? That just sounds like salt to me, I don't think that there's an issue with Quest Mage in particular.
The last thing this community needs is a bunch of whiny players complaining about every single thing that they lose to or makes them upset, toxic communities are the worst. If you don't like the job Blizzard is doing, then quit, the majority of people actually enjoy this game believe it or not.

IambicAvenger posted a message on Mecha'thunPosted in: Mecha'thunWhat are the various ways we can trigger Mecha'thun in standard? (Asking about standard, because ET in Wild makes the problem far easier.) But we have Galvanizer to help a little with cost reduction. Here are some (mostly bad) ideas:
- Druid: Reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by one and play him with Naturalize.
- Hunter: Reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by two and play him with Goblin Prank.
- Mage: It's easy to draw through your deck, and you can copy Galvanizer with Simulacrum, so reduce cost on Mecha'thun down to 6 and use Snap Freeze alongside Frostbolt or a second Snap Freeze to kill him.
- Paladin: Reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by two and of Skaterbot by one, play with Equality to ram a 1 health Mecha'thun into any enemy minion.
- Priest: Make Mecha'thun one of the two only deathrattles in your deck, get him killed, use Twilight's Call to bring him back and Spirit Lash to re-kill him.
- Rogue: Reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by two and play him with Backstab + Preparation + Eviscerate + Eviscerate (Edit: fixing this original combo, which does't work:
Preparation + Assassinate). - Shaman: Use Murmuring Elemental to boost cost reduction to 4, use 2x Crushing Hand to destroy him.
- Warlock: Reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by two, use Bloodbloom + Cataclysm.
- Warrior: Not really sure this is possible. If you could reduce the cost of Mecha'thun by three, you could use Bring It On! and Shield Slam, but I'm not sure where you're going to get the extra mana or cost reduction in standard. If you already had armor and Dr. Boom up, you could rush Mecha'thun into an enemy minion and just use the Shield Slam to finish him, but it seems unlikely.

Lore fact on you, Rexxar from Warcraft 3 used an ability called "Storm Bolt" where he basically chucked a "Stormhammer" at an enemy that did damage and stunned them. Also, Brann Bronzebeard, the hunter hero is a dwarf. Dwarves ride Gryphons and Gryphonriders use Stormhammers as their weapons (I learned all of this from Trump's video).
So Hunters having "Stormhammer" does make sense.

Kind of ironic that you are calling this guy out on his "dipshittery" when you can't even read his comment correctly.

Reminds me of Into the Void from Yu-Gi-Oh, but much more powerful.

I really dislike what Blizzard is doing with their legendaries. Bloodbloom has the exact same effect as Cho'gall and is generally better. Also, Terrorscale Stalker has the exact same effect has Princess Huhuran.
I mean, I like new cards, but I hate how they have the exact same effects as previous legendaries. Making the previous legendaries, less "legendary."

Hex and Polymorph make a 5/5 Frog and Sheep LUL.

Wow. This card is very well stated for its cost. I honestly thought that it would be 6-7 mana but it is actually 5 mana for a 6/9 Taunt! This card comes from Direhorn Hatchling after its Deathrattle triggers.
6
This card can stop Fireblast and spells. Glacial Shard can stop Dagger Mastery and Shapeshift. Both cards do their own purpose very well.

Very powerful card in Arena. Technically has 5/6 worth of stats which is already good for a 5 mana. It also has the beast tag on it and can gain taunt just by having two minions.

Should have costed less.

It kind of sucks that the art for this card looks much better than the other dinosaur legendaries. I'm looking at you Tyrantus.
