posted a message on HearthPwn's Battlegrounds Hero Tier List

Statistically, he's last. But if you dig deep in HSReplay statistics, you will see that Flurgl as a lot of rank 7 and 8 losses gradually having more and more problems going up.... And then there's first first. His percentage of 1st wins is 14%, which is actually higher than Deathwing himself

What this tells us is that if you're able to survive to the last game, you become an absolute monster. Which is why I think they are absolutely wrong about their last sentence:  Players are trying to build big boards to kill their opponents, [...] the Hero Power is in large part useless from mid to late-game.

That is so wrong on so many levels. The way you get large boards as a murloc is to abuse battlecries and churn out a lot of buying and selling. Problem is that most people try to build murlocs far too early with him and die before they can get to the good stuff.

posted a message on Rumble Run Decklists Thread

I've been trying to build their new decklists from scratch, just using data since the 10th. I can confirm you aren't crazy, there really are decks that have 31 cards in them. Observations so far seems to indicate that the shrines with 31 cards decks are still fixed, for example, you cant have a deck with 30 cards at round 6 but it becomes 31 cards at round 8. I have a suspicion that Jan'alai's Mantle and Shirvallah's Vengeance are also 31 cards, but havent been able to confirm yet.

Also damn, getting those decklists is hard work, especially for the earlier shrines.

The real idiots here are the ones condemning OP's suggestions without offering any constructive feedback.

I haven't seen anyone personally attacking him. What's wrong with condemning bad ideas? Do we really need to make a huge writeup just because some people want to tell the person that its a bad suggestion? There are people who offered the insight he needs, why ask for everyone else to repeat it?

Should we act like condescending parents and make him believe that he had a good idea when he didnt? Put it on the fridge? That doesn't help anyone online, especially not him. If you get praise for bad ideas, you'll settle for bad ideas, and you'll never work toward making good ones, because you don't have to.

If the mild reactions that he received are enough to discourage him from ever attempting to balance or design cards, then I guess he isn't cut out for it and that would make suggestions bogus. It's even worse if he just gives up or disregard the negative feedback because of "the haters" without ever thinking about why people didnt like it, then he's never going to improve.

posted a message on Rumble Run - quest to clear with ALL the shrines!

    22/27 Shrines Completed, 20/27 pre-nerf

Tribute from the Tides and Bwon'samdi Tome were the ones I did post-nerf, but I did manage to get to the 8th boss with all shrines multiple times before the nerf. Warlock/Druid were the first classes i finished. Druid's water spirit teammate is one of the craziest in the whole mode, due to starting in your hand and letting you get multiple turns ahead of your opponent, it snowballs out of control very quickly.

I can't give much advice in terms of how to beat certain opponents since I'm not that great of a Hearthstone player and often "go for memes". I've thrown games due to wanting to pull off a certain combo, or being too greedy with a play just because it was fun. Due to this, the following might appear very obvious to many people, but here are some big things I learned to watch out for.

Shirvallah's Protection: If I notice I havent fought Thekal yet going into the 6th round, I look to see if my deck has any hard removal because The Walking Fort is an incredibly tough minion to remove, especially if he drops it after his shrines comes back up. If he buffs it with the bells or the steed, it can spell doom for your run. It should also go without saying, but I didn't think about it at first: Be very careful of using Defile in against this shrine, it turned a run that should've been in the bag into a very shameful defeat.

Halazzi's Trap: Having some early game is crucial to fight this shrine. My strategy is to generally try and control the board as much as possible and run them out of cards to play, it can be very easy to "lock them" into having 5 secrets that doesnt trigger if you dont go face (Explosive, Wandering, Misdirection, Bear), then the shrine can be easily ignored while you develop a board. If you're ready to attack a minion with unknown secrets, make sure you have an answer for an Emperor Cobra or it could take out your shrine or big minions. This deck runs very few minions, the most dangerous of them is Troll Harbinger since, if left unchecked, will give him a mountain of tools to clear your board or strengthen his. Once the early turns are taken care of, he will generally have one card per turn and not much to threaten you making it a rather smooth victory from there.

    The Rumble Changes

So we don't have much information about what they have done in details, even if the changes can be felt resulting in a much less frustrating experience while playing (not that it has entirely disappeared, looking at you Turn 1 Prince Keleseth), here are some observations I've made:

The opponent deck size used to be 10, 14, 20 and then 30 cards from the 4th fight onward. This has been changed to 10, 13, 17, 28, 30 from 5th onward. This means that the 2nd and 3rd fights no longer have a card advantage over the player.

I am currently trying to piece back together the AI decks following the nerfs to learn of any undocumented deck changes similar to the Dancing Swords appearing in the deathrattle deck. Fun fact: There was ONE time that Talanji started with 3 mana and went for Dancing Sword first, making it the first time they didnt start with the zombie. There are two additions i've noticed, but I cannot be certain of the cards that were removed to make room for them:

Treasure from Below now contains Gral, the Shark. My guess is that it is replacing Raging Contender. It's possible that I just didnt run into him, but considering how much he liked to play that card previously, it wouldn't surprise me.

Hir'eek's Hunger now contains Hakkar, the Soulflayer as well as two copies of Spreading Madness. It seems to be far less aggressive too. While I liked how challenging the boss could be, it wasnt particularly fun to have lost over half your health by turn three.

Shadowreaper is still a strong card and one of the best DKs out there. The investment will be useful in future decks, so not all is lost.

I think he's saying that this card is to divine shield decks what fencing coach was to inspire decks.

3/2/2 that has a clear deck archetype, but its way too bad of a card to actually be included in said decks.

If you actually live in a place where hating white people is socially accepted (South Africa, Iran, North Korea?) maybe you should try to do something to change that instead of using that as an excuse to justify trolling and hate speech.
The racism will never end if we give up trying to end it.
When I said it was socially acceptable, I was talking about America though.  Simply being offended isn't enough for laws to apply is what I was saying. It would have to go through a court of law and be found guilty in front of a jury. Due process should be respected.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences or the freedom to hurt people.

Racism and other forms of abuse hurt people, we should take that more seriously.

There is no freedom of speech without the freedom to offend. I'm 100% with you that racism and other forms of abuse are hurtful and should be taken more seriously, but internet trolls will take whatever is the easiest way to get under someone's skin. If the easiest way is...well... the person's skin. Then they will. Do you know why people aren't that hateful against white for the color of their skin? It's because it's socially "okay" to hate white people. Saying things like "Kill All White People" isn't frowned upon. Therefore, trolls won't say it because it doesnt get under white people's skin, they're used to that shit already.

Velen's Chosen + this = a 5/8 body with divine shield as early as turn 4. Even with a Power Word: Shield, it's a 3/6 body with a divine shield.

You're the second person to say Velen+This Card being godly as early as turn 4. Now, 3 mana legendary + 3 mana spell = How in the world are you playing that on Turn 4? Even with a coin?

Youd play Fjola on turn 3, then Velen's Chosenon turn 4.

    Simple.

Thinking about it, you could coin Fjola on turn 2, then Velen on 3. Woww.

..... I feel incredibly dumb right about now.

If you add them on skype they could get your IP and then ddos you, other then that they can't really touch you.

Pretty much. DDOS is the only possible exploit to date and that's not a HS problem. Connection drops have multiple reasons, HS is not very tolerant when it comes to micro disconnects and connection drops and sometimes it has trouble with making that known to the player. You sometimes might face situations were you can't play anything, the rope wont show but emoting and mouse over effects still works.

That's because the net code of HS is not great, I don't play much blizzard games anymore beside HS so I don't know if it's the same with other blizzard games but in a connection between two clients and one server there can be trouble if it's not done right.

It's different for different Blizzard games, Warcraft is extremely lenient when it comes to DCing. I remember during a really bad storm where my internet was utters shit, I managed to get something like 15,000ms latency and still being connected. It was obviously unplayable, but that's not the point.
