Okay here is a crazy idea to make this tavern brawl more enjoyable. Why don't you give access to all the cards so all players can participate?

Bersak posted a message on Power Disparity (Year of the Dragon RoS)Posted in: General DiscussionThe expansion is not 24h old and you are talking about HoF-ing cards already. Keep cool guys, decks will get lots of finetunig and become stronger with time.
Come back in a month and we are talking about balance. It‘s just normal that stand alone strong cards dominate the meta on day 1

RavenSunHP posted a message on How do you guys feel about spell breaker?Posted in: General DiscussionSpellbreaker is as healthy as the targets it's typically used for.
Baku paladin effectively uses Owl, so the point is that it doesn't really matter, silence is just so much needed to have chances in otgerwise sealed games.

dibbbbb posted a message on Hearthstone Patch Changes - Rumble Run Updates, Arena Bucket ChangesPosted in: NewsAnd every game you play on ladder is time you could have invested into something actually productive, so what's your point? Unless you're a very popular streamer the only incentive you could have to play the game is to have fun, because at some point you will stop playing the game and all that "progress" will mean absolutely nothing.

It was too much on-demand healing for the class that best uses life as a resource. Even if Control isn't operating on the same level of busted as Cube, they gotta at least attempt to preserve some aspect of class identity

Rush Warrior is a good deal of fun to play, but you are correct about it flailing against Cube and Spiteful decks. Turns out "fun and fair" still doesn't count for much in Hearthstone

BFZ block, Emrakul, Copy Cat combo to name a few examples off the top of my head. Note that I didn't say "the current meta". But it took an awful lot of garbage to get to this stage.

What I don't get is why they made this card for Warlocks in the first place. Unconditional Taunt? Powerful Deathrattle? High mana cost? Sure, it's three Voidwalkers mashed together, but Voidlord doesn't really fit in with Warlock's mechanical identity. It's safe. It's sticky. It can be cheated out with little to no risk to the player.
Now, Hooked Reaver? THERE's a Warlock Taunt. Potentially huge benefit. Pretty huge risk. Can't get its bonus if you cheat it out. Pretty garbage without the effect. Hell, "If you're at or below 15 health" should be an evergreen mechanic for Warlock.

While it's great that Blizzard is adding pros to their "final design" (read: balance) team, the past couple years of MtG Standard have demonstrated that the presence of former professional players in development is no guarantee of high quality.
