posted a message on Genuine question: Why play standard?

#2 exactly this. Once gvg and naxx rotated I never wanted to see dr boom or sludge belcher ever again. I prefer only to play with the new cards and I just dust my old collection to build my standard decks. I like to have at least one viable deck per class in standard except for Warlock. Warlock can go to H(e)ll of fame.

I’m actually impressed with the decks available so far. The odd and even mechanic has doubled the number of archetypes. At this point most classes have multiple viable decks.

once again, just like in tgt Rogue is missing out due to their hero power. It isn’t meant to be reused everyturn and the upgraded dagger isn’t powerful enough. I think they should upgrade their upgraded  hero power to give it lifesteal or something.

posted a message on Cards I think should be rotated out of Standard

With Brode announcing that it's possible that some classic cards will rotate out of standard it is most likely this will happen in the next rotation.

My top picks for what will be rotated out are:

Azure Drake - this 5 drop just dominates the 5 mana slot. They have been trying to give rogues a viable 5 drop in nearly every set since GVG but only Azure Drake ever makes the cut.

    Gadgetzan Auctioneer

    Leeroy

    Sylvanus

What are some of her likely possibilities?

To all the people saying this deck can't be played in the current meta - have you actually tried playing it? I have been very successful at least in the mid ranks with a tweaked version of this deck. For a lot of decks like Aggro shaman a well timed Reno ends the game on the spot.

I am using the older version with Cthun and have a 75% win rate. I went to this deck after losing many games in a row with miracle rogue. Miracle rogue is a "better" deck but is horrible on ladder with all the aggression.

Undercity huckster. I thought he would revitalize tempo rogue but it turns out miracle rogue is still just plain better.

posted a message on Xaril or Leeroy for miracle Rogue?

Leeroy is a tech card in Miracle and isn't needed 100%. Xaril will most likely be used in almost all Rogue decks for the next two years.

However, Leeroy sees play in Warlock among other Aggro decks in general.

I run 1x Teacher and 1x Xaril. Xaril is a bit underestimated. He can sometimes give you a clutch poison that you need to win the game. And with the amount of warriors running around 2x teacher won't get as much value.

I need about 35 wins for golden Warrior. Is Malkorok that good in tempo? How is he better than just playing Gorehowl?

He has a body and you usually have more weapons you want to play
That's what I figured. I just wasn't sure if there was a big enough difference between him and Gorehowl to be worth crafting. I saw someone play him effectively in control last night as well.

I stilly think infested Tauren is better in this deck because it helps protect your face when Nzoth comes out.

I like the theme of this deck but I feel it is very inconsistent with literally no draw mechanics or comeback cards. You are entirely dependent of a good starting hand. I went 1-3 with this deck and I just feel that the regular Nzoth deck with the equality combos is stronger.

Fandral and Xaril are safe to craft imo if you are a heavy Druid/Rogue player. Deathwing is a strong card but he works on niche decks. I can see him used on super top heavy CW decks, Astral Druid or Y'shaarj decks (expensive decks) and dragons are the ones that will rotate out next. You can play with him for a bit and if you don't like him you can DE.
It's okay to craft tgt cards legendaries like Gormok, Justicar. The next expansion that will rotate out is BRM. TBK is good I didn't de him because I knew he will be of use in the future. He was pretty good on vanilla TBK went out of meta because of  Sludge Belcher.

TGT will rotate out the end of this year along with BRM.

Hi! Do you think that it is now safe to craft Fandral? I crafted Varian when everybody was hyped with him and it ended up being mediocre...

I would also love hearing your opinions on crafting Xaril and Yog Saron. Xaril looks like a solid card and Yog is really fun to play!

    Thanks a lot!

I am a Rogue player and Xaril is awesome in every Rogue deck. I made him Golden too (So many wonderful poisons!)
As for Yogg I use him in my Miracle Rogue deck as a tie breaker or come back card and it works really well. I'm basically running Dogs yogg miracle deck. He can help you win a game you were sure to lose or just screw you over but probably you would have lost anyway.
