thanks for the advice,it was stuff I knew as a general concept but maybe I never gave it enough thought, maybe I will be able to sqeeze a couple more wins.
However my problem is not as much the execution or even the winrate as it is the frustration of being forced into a playstyle I do not enjoy, aka the "aggressor" (keeping in mind that those deck are the ONLY ones that can force an archetype to play differently) and as much as I appreciate your help none of us can delete cards from the game (:
I'll wait for your thoughts on the deck if you have any
thx, I wasn't expecting a serious response thb, this was mostly just me venting because we have ANOTHER card to increase the number of OTK/mill/infinite decks in the game (that I hate) AND the toxic disruption cards that they inevitably spawn
I had no specific deck in mind, I was just thinking how I could add the new cards to my reno/elemental mage but I didn't plan anything in detail
If you wish to help though (thx again btw) I'd like some feedback on a paladin deck I posted a while ago, if you want to search it it's called THEORYCRAFTplzhelp reno pally (I can post the link/code if you want), I made it before scholomance though so I am not sure how/if the new cards would fit
as for how to beat those decks I see no way other than putting more disruption cards and/or more threats (which, ironically is the reason I despise these decks so much)
the way I understood it is that it would destroy spells with 1 as their ORIGINAL cost so I thought corrupt would work the same...I guess they can do whatever the hell they want tho
I will make it my mission to dislike and leave this negative comment on any tumortakus deck I find as that card ruined an expansion I was starting to really like (it's the first one where the elemental support seems actually pretty good since...well un'goro if you want to consider that "pretty good")

I once dreamed that Blizzard would bring back the original Illidan card ( 7/7 battlecry both players discard 3 cards and draw 3 cards).
But discard 5 opponent cards without any drawback, and still have a 6 mana 8/8 against aggro.. Oh man, that is lovely.
Also this card is not uniteractive at all. The corrupt keyword forces all sorts of interactions to happen before playing the card, it's not like you just have to draw it and play it immediately and win the game, you know, like most combo decks do.
Seeing combo decks use dirty rat tech in their decks and failing to get my Tickatus will be a sweet revenge.
I feel personally insulted by you calling me a combo player...then again, I supposed I can't get TOO offended since you clearly can't read the part where I expressed my deep and rooted hatred for those archetypes
I'm sorry my post wasn't directed at you personally nor do I hate anyone behind a combo deck, I didn't even read your post with much attention, I'm just using this thread as a vessel for expressing my joy, I just hate OTK combos and welcome anything that gives me a fighting chance with suboptimal/meme decks against those insane wild combo decks and isn't a dead card against other archetypes.
Who doesn't like a win button, right? Combo decks have one. Or two. Or three... I have one too now. Never really liked dirty rat it does either nothing or bad things in 80% of games.
dw bud, I was lowkey joking anyway
to answer your question of "who doesn't like a win button?"....me, I personally hate it, it goes against everything I stand for and everything I believe a balanced and healthy game should be
and that is a laughably easy task in a control mirror, expecially one where the oppponent is 5 deeper AND didn't get to play those 5 cards
I haven't had a control mirror go that long in months my guy, and I've been fucking with Highlander decks a lot. I also haven't seen fatigure in anything except turbo DH or maybe stealth Rogue that gets off double Passage.
I just doublechecked, and Big Warrior, the most control oriented deck I can think of in the meta, runs an average of 11.5 turns. Even Rez and Control priest are averaging 11-14 depending on the deck. You're talking about a matchup that's already pretty rare, and a turn count that is hitting 5% of those games. A card being useful in 5% of situations in 5% of matches isn't exactly the best card in the game. Hell, Harrison is useful more often than that and no one is calling him broken
I'm gonna guess you only play standard if you think big warrior is the most control oriented deck in the meta (and honestly it is more akin to a slow midrange deck) same goes with rez priest as they both focus on surviving the first few turns then playing EXTREMELY high tempo cards to gain back the board and win via an absurd amount of threat that happened too early to be contested effectively
in a game where 2 decks that are focused on responding to threats it is stupidly easy for someone that LEGIT REMOVED 5 cards from the opponent's deck to force the game to go to that point and get the free win

you perfectly sniped some of my most hated deck

in case you weren't aware, you can make strong winconditions without printing a card that says "win the control matchup"

I'm not sure but considering skulking geist does not destroy spells that become 1 mana after (e.g. academic espionage) I am more inclined to say no
anyway don't play tumortakus, disenchant him and play something that doesn't ruin the game
