Congrats on legendary.  I tried this this deck but it didn't work at all for me on the ladder.  I'm assuming it works better at Rank 10 and down.

I couldn't keep up with any aggro and got torn apart by warriors.  If I started out with good draws, then it was relatively strong. However, I'd usually mulligan for defias, leper, backstab, etc; but would normally have tinker's oil, sludge belcher and sprint sitting in my early hand.  Without prep, tinker's oil and sprint were useless for most of the matches.  When I could get violet teacher down, I never had enough mana or spells to actually benefit from the card before my opponent could remove her.  The only class I was able to beat were control priests.  Of course I only played two of them, but maybe I'm just missing something.

Another great Kolento deck! I almost feel bad playing it, because it feels really powerful against a lot of other decks on the ladder.

I've received 3 of these from arena packs, so I almost feel as though Blizzard is pushing me to incorporate this card in a deck.  Of course it reads like an overpriced execute... and I haven't bothered trying it out in a deck.  Is there something I'm missing out on?  Or is it as worthless as the likes of pit lord and far sight?

Kudos on legendary and thanks for sharing this great deck.  I'm having fun with it, and the only changes I made were replacing one loot hoarder with a iron beak owl for sludge belchers/eggs and using arcane golem rather than leeroy.   I'm actually winning more against shamans and priests with this deck.

Thanks again and good luck on the ladder.

Might I suggest nixing one of the spellbenders? I've tried it and it's almost always too much. One is usually a dead card, and it's very rare that they both proc in a game, given that you're running two counterspells (which always seem to proc before the spellbenders) too.   I'd go with a mirror entity instead.  Also, rather than Kel'Thuzad, perhaps a sludge belcher/defender of argus/faceless manipulator or something else to slow down warriors/classes with weapons and aggro decks.

posted a message on Need suggestions to improve my mage deck

Do you have any secrets? I've found counterspell and mirror image to be pretty useful.   It adds an element of surprise and your opponent will often be forced to play cautiously in the next turn. I usually run a silence and polymorph in my decks too, because certain classes will often bait a polymorph before they put down a big card/legendary (especially pallys/warriors).

Most of the other suggestions are on point.  Although I would discourage you from using gurubashi, or being very cautious if you're playing it against priests.  That's like the ideal target to steal with a cabal shadow priest.

Thanks, I look forward to trying this deck out. Thoughts on a replacement for Thalnos? Cobald Geomancer?

I'd go with a silence, or consider his other additions depending on your match ups.

    Flamestrike/Blizzard

    Azure Drakes

    Congrats on legendary!

I was skeptical about dancing swords, but I tried this deck out in ranked and did extremely well against hunters and mages.  I didn't encounter any priests or locks (I guess I lucked out).  I only had one loss, after a rogue managed to coin an undertaker with leper gnome on turn 1 that I couldn't kill quickly enough.

Thanks for sharing the deck.  Good luck in the new season.

posted a message on Why can't I beat shaman?

Pretty good advice above me... Honestly, hunter is the most forgiving class and requires the least amount of thinking.  Shamans deal with overload, have no healing and are reluctant to spread out their minions because of uth.

If you're struggling with a particular class, the best advice I've received is to start playing that class and figuring out their strengths and weaknesses.

I enjoyed this deck.  It's nice being able to take out zoo, when they flood their board with minions at the very beginning.

However, I'm not used to running control decks, so facing handlock and warrior was a task, especially going round after round waiting to see who will be the first to succumb to fatigue.  When I logged off for the day I was like, "Wow, I've only done three matches in an hour and a half?"

Nevertheless, it's an awesome deck.  Kudos to you and thanks for sharing.

    posted a message on Spellbender

Is there something wrong with spellbender? I was facing another mage and had two secrets up (spellbender and counterspell).  The mage tried to use a secret but it was counterspelled.  Then the mage polymorphed my azure drake, and I sat there staring at my screen in disbelief... Because spellbender was still up above Jaina's photo, but I was down a minion with spell power...  I still won, but wth?!

Vae victis! You must stare blankly into the screen as your opponent systematically delivers the finishing blows. Blinking during this time of sober reflection is considered bad manner.

    Nailed it!

By conceding, you're surrendering and acknowledging that the other person won. Why does it matter if they get the killing blow?

Not everyone has the luxury to sit and wait for their opponent to finish their turn.  Some people have limited time, and they'd rather play a new match than twiddle their thumbs in a losing battle.  I don't know why it bothers people, I'd much rather have someone concede when I'm winning, rather than keeping us both there for another minute or two.

Enjoy your win.  Life's too short.  Don't expect the rest of the world to indulge your every wish.

posted a message on Midrange demonlock ideas

I'm having a lot of fun trying out these decks on the ladder.  I've been attempting to rack up more wins on my lock, but I don't have all of the handlock cards and I'm so bored with zoo.  Even though they're a bit inconsistent, it's nice putting out nerubian eggs with a hellfire, and watching my opponent scramble and take their time on the next move, like they have no idea what I'm running.

I just played an aggro hunter that stacked up his side of the board with his entire hand, and I'm assuming he had no idea I would shadow flame my harvest golem.   Poor hunter.

    Thanks for this thread.

posted a message on is that worth to craft bloodmage thalnos first

What other legendaries do you already have?  I wouldn't craft it if I didn't have Cairne, Sylvanas, Black Knight, etc.

I got mine in a random pack but before then I got along just fine using loot hoarder/kobold geomancer.  It's certainly not game changing and usually doesn't get much play out of one turn.  It's a nice little bonus but dropping Sylvanas/Cairne/black knight/Rag by itself can completely shift the momentum of the match.  I'd wait off on it...
