Purpenflurb posted a message on Maiev New Hero FeelsBadManPosted in: RogueI think it really depends on your perspective. I personally think Maiev was an excellent choice. I have actually played quite a bit more WC3 than WoW, so I have no idea who any of the other people you mentioned are, but I'm quite familiar with Maiev. And honestly, elves/orcs are popular hero choices because they are the most recognizable races in warcraft. I would be all for seeing some more alternate heroes that WoW fans would appreciate, but its also important to consider that a large section of the hearthstone playerbase doesn't know that much about the warcraft universe.

Chimera posted a message on Tyrande Now Available In Southeast Asia By Buying 40 PacksPosted in: News100% missing the point. It's not about packs costing money. It's about SEA being required to spend that money to obtain this priest hero they have been dying to get their hands on since they had to endure everyone eligible for twitch prime getting it free.

AntonAmby posted a message on What counters miracle rogue?Posted in: RogueQuote from DrakaraS_EU >>dragon priest is painful matchup for a miracle rogue.
What? Miracle is extremely favored in that matchup, it's like a (70% to the Rogue) in favor of the Miracle Rogue
The two best decks against Rogue are Pirate Warrior (70% for Pirate) and Jade/Aggressive Shaman (60-65% for Shaman) -

TheWamts posted a message on Thats why rogue(miracle rogue anytime) is tier 1-2 deck in everyseason...Posted in: General DiscussionBecause that indicates how good their overall quality of class cards are and every other class (except maybe Warrior) can make a deck out of 30 high quality class cards, while Rogue doesn't even have that many to begin with.Rogue has a disproportionate amount of strong cheap spells among its class cards. Therefore, they have fewer minions by the principle that cheap spells aren't minions. There is literally no issue with this.In fact, it just shows how good the Rogue spells are if those spells are enough to keep them viable against the other 8 classes with their super overpowered minions. -

TheWamts posted a message on Thats why rogue(miracle rogue anytime) is tier 1-2 deck in everyseason...Posted in: General DiscussionRogue is the only class that can't make a good deck with only class cards and no neutrals, since they have no Healing/damage avoidance, AoE, standalone minions and any real finisher build into the class.
Why the fuck does it matter if a deck runs Neutral minions or not?

Shamanstone, Shamanstone, and oh, more Shamanstone - with a nice serving of Piratestone to finish off the year.

No.

Just look at any of Blizzard's HS advertisement videos/trailers. There's barely any focus on the actual mechanics of the game itself - instead they emphasize colorful and zany characters, and your 'average Joe' dressing up in bad costumes to play a mobile game. In fact, if someone were completely new to Hearthstone/card games in general, I'd be surprised if they were able to actually figure out what the game even is, other than the fact that it's on mobiles and involves cards in some way.

For me pre-standard Mill Rogue, no doubt in my mind. I never kept track, but I probably had a 20% winrate with it - but that 20% - holy shit, the sweetest thing. The best feeling is milling both players deep into fatigue but surviving with 1hp to win. I have yet to feel the same satisfaction with any other single deck in these last couple of years playing HS. I also enjoyed game-flipping pre-nerf Yogg-Sarons.

Blizzard will still make millions off Hearthstone every month - whether or not they respond to the community. They have no incentive to appeal to the 'hardcore' players who want perfect balance. Just look at all their marketing and ads for HS - to me it's obvious that they are catering towards casual players. The ads emphasize that it's a mobile game that your average Joe can easily get into, and that it's mostly quick silly fun - not a serious game.

In 2016 it was in late April, right before the end of the month. I guess we just have to assume it's around the same time in 2017.

Fuck Flamewaker. The rotation can't come soon enough. I hope the person who designed that card stubs their toe on the end of a hard coffee table sometime in the near future.

It's a misconception that Epic cards are meant to be strong. A lot of the time Blizzard uses the Epic slot for cards with unique effects - like Poisoned Blade.
