It’s hilarious that he completely forgot the concept of a board wipe

posted a message on Is anyone NOT playing Rogue right now? Could this cause a nerf? (Just a Theory)

There's absolutely no way the deck will remain untouched for 4 or 5 months if it continues to dominate the way it is now. A more realistic expectation would be like 4 to 5 weeks if team 5 kicks their feet around.

Additionally, if more lists ran 2 copies of starfish (which they are not right now for some reason) the issue would be less severe.  i assume the devs are waiting for players to utilize the counters available before opting for nerfs.  the problem is that taking up 2 deck slots to counter a single archetype isn't very fun, but if silence tech became very prevalent for a while a lot of DR rogue players would drop the deck and move on.

posted a message on Immune minions.

Of course you should be able to run into them. It's not illogical to assume you could and it would also give players more creative ways to try and play around or counter a Jailer board, which is good for the game.  If attempting to trade into an immune minion is stupid, then being able to clear an immune board through spells should also qualify as stupid.  To me giving certain classes with AOEs easy outs to Jailer while other classes have none whatsoever is a bad design philosophy.

posted a message on Does anyone play something other then Druid or Warlock?

Sorry to contribute to the problem but i had never played an aggro deck in my life until yesterday when i got sick of losing to aggro druids.  i tried the deck out and went from d10 to d5 in 40 minutes (only took one loss) while cooking lunch.  it's still not fun to play at all but i hope i can keep the deck in my back pocket in case i'm unable to grind ladder properly throughout the month

posted a message on Team 5 is Considering Adding Various Themed Card Skins, Including Crossovers with Other IPs

So i just received an in-game prompt to an online survey from Blizzard regarding my current perception of the game, its marketing, etc. A lot of the survey contained typical focus group-type prompts but what interested me was a few sections asking to choose from various external IPs ranging from Pokemon, Sailor Moon, the Matrix, Bladerunner and determining which would be a good fit for a crossover promotion with HS.

It also presented me with a list of art styles (such as Realistic Horror, Anime/Manga, Chibi, etc) and specifcally asked “How interested would you be in seeing each of the following art styles in Hearthstone cosmetics / alternate card art?“

The idea i’m getting from this is that Team 5 is heavily considering alternate themed art for cards as a cosmetic, including crossovers with other brands a la Secret Lair from MTG. I personally think it would be a very interesting and profitable idea, as long as the line isn’t crossed where you’re made to pay out-of-pocket for a limited edition unique Legendary Pikachu minion or some other nonsense such as that. Any thoughts on this direction for HS?

posted a message on Have any of you changed classed because of the current meta? (cries in warrior)

Sorry but the reality is, any remotely decent deck with any class (yes, any class) has the capability to make it out of bronze. If you are stuck at that level, it’s because you’re either running a terrible list, not playing well, or a combination of both. Show us the list you’re running and a replay of a match you lost and we could make some sense of where your game plan is going wrong.

posted a message on Sire Denathrius

It’s difficult to completely despise the card because Theotar and Mutanus can counter it, but that is actually even more of a problem. It’s really tough to carve out a 30-card decklist and save two slots for these cards that have a chance to disrupt the opponent’s win con but can also completely whiff, which is why there’s a huge incentive to run both. And then there’s the scenarios where your Denathrius gets snatched by a Theotar, so you play your own Theotar to steal your own Denathrius back just to have your opponent’s Mutanus eat the Denathrius 2 turns later, etc. Those experiences are so devoid of any skill or entertainment to me that it’s worth rotating the card early like Baku and Genn were… Or nerf it so it only hits minions as others have mentioned.

posted a message on 24.2.2 Patch Notes - Constructed, Battlegrounds, and Duels Balance Changes & Bug Fixes

Embarrassing or not, i'd rather them admit their mistake and revert a change as soon as possible instead of sticking to their guns and making us suffer. Some of us forget just how long we would remain with broken and stale metas before the devs would admit defeat instead of encouraging us to go out there and find the Unicorn Priest deck
