Sykomyke posted a message on How the heck do you win with Crowley?Posted in: Monster HuntQuote from Dr_Scaphandre >>You’re joking right? Cannoneer is the easiest. You gotta position your cannon to take put weaklongs, and always grab the cannon synergy treasures. EVERYTIME. If you don’t get any cannon symergy treasures, just end the run until you do.
What helped me win was getting the treasure that made it so whenever you used your hero power, a card in your hand got discounted. I also stocked up on a shitload of Inspire cards to get more hero power synergy.
He's asking for help. Try using less snarky/sarcastic quips and just give actual positive feedback? I mean you could have taken out the first two sentances and just started with "You gotta position..." and your entire post would have been just peachy. Also, don't forget that random boss encounters+RNG on both deck draws, as well as RNG on treasures buckets makes people's experiences VASTLY different from yours. -

jeepers1704 posted a message on This weeks brawlPosted in: General DiscussionGive HS players a diamond ring and they'd complain about the box you put it in. I'm so old I can remember when Tavern Brawl didn't exist and you didn't get an extra pack every week. Bet you would've opened like 3 gold legendaries too, bummer dude.

Anatak89 posted a message on Can you get to rank 5 with a tier 4 deck?Posted in: ShamanAll these super intense bastards in this forum haha. If it's your first time hitting rank 5, congrats, especially with a super inconsistent combo deck. I figured the lower ranks would be full of aggro that would ruin your chances, but you must have gotten lucky with some queues. Last season I climbed to legend with zoolock which was apparently barely tier 2 at the time (although I honestly felt it was a hell of a lot better than that).
If you're a frequent rank 5/legend climber, then.... Shame on you for mindlessly bragging about this on this forum, you should know better haha =P.

M0byFish posted a message on Can you get to rank 5 with a tier 4 deck?Posted in: ShamanThat must have taken a LOT of patience on your part. How long dd your games last, on average? Or did a majority of people just concede as soon as they knew the combo was about to go off?

AssumedNewb posted a message on Blizzard This must stop! please vote!Posted in: Standard FormatSerious question here: how many of you were actually bothered by decks like this before Blizzard started pushing the sheep mentality that combo decks are "unfun" and "uninteractive"?
And an even better question: why do you believe that playing a chill wind yeti on curve, and trading it into 4/4 for value trades implied any more true interaction(as in, putting any sort of effort to adapt your plays to your opponent's) than, say, not playing extra minions before a mage flame strikes you on turn 7?
Blizzard has succeeded in creating a community of sheep that want to play a game of "click the green cards and drag to the board" rather than an actual card game.
Disclaimer:My point doesn't apply to OTK shaman. I completely agree that minutes of animations are bad for the game and should be addressed ASAP, regardless of how strong the deck is. But otherwise the deck archetype is completely fine in terms of the gameplan.
Insulting the people you are ostensibly trying to convince is seldom a winning tactic. I would expect a combo player to be a better strategist.I've found combo decks annoying since launch, and your false dichotomy of "everything else is curvestone" only makes me think you don't really understand the game very well.Yes, I don't understand the game very well, except I probably reached a higher(lower?) legend ranking than your best standard rank.I'm not insulting anyone in particular, I'm merely asking a serious question. If my rhetoric about "sheep" happened to apply to you, that's not really my problem.Definitely agree with batanete.Combo decks are healthy, interesting and yes, they punish greedy control, which is fine. Shudderwock decks have a low win-rate, and while animations may be patched to "fast mode", the deck does not create balance issues, same way Exodia decks were perfectly balanced (but feasted on "fatigue minded" control decks). As for Taunt druid, the deck is strong, possibly too much (I am of the opinion that a brutal nerf of Carnivorous Cube would kill two fat birds with one stone). However, Taunt druid has a lot of trouble answering Cobalt Drake (which is a good card an fits into a lot of decks) -

BootyLuong posted a message on Blizzard This must stop! please vote!Posted in: Standard FormatTaunt Druid can be countered hard... It's a strong deck, but has quite a few polarizing matchups... If you can't figure out how to counter it then I'm afraid that's your problem, not the design of the game (hint - there's at least one NEUTRAL card that hard counters the entire gameplan)... Also shudderwock shaman gets wrecked by aggro... so... yes.. that deck also can be countered

KingSevault posted a message on Blizzard This must stop! please vote!Posted in: Standard FormatWay to to construct a false dichotomy for your poll, there.
To address your actual point, I think it's kind of nonsense. You're clearly trying to weaken combo decks, but you also call out Hadronox, which is a control tool. But strangely, you called out two incredibly weak decks. At the moment, aggro is the name of the game with aggressive paladin decks dominating, and you're trying to eliminate non-combo decks instead of the real problem.

If well designed neutrals means versatile, surviving metas, being played by different heroes all over again throughout the seasons & won matches just sticking on board, being buffed or thrown at the very last sec making a difference, then my answer is
squire / thalnos / acolythe
although...5 minutes of silence in memory of the One Leper Gnome pre-nerf, double leper gnome + kill command + hero got me a golden hunter once upon a time..
