Bluelights posted a message on Why are fast decks always the best?Posted in: General DiscussionFast decks have a lower skill floor, their goal of winning is more straightforward: getting the opponents health to 0, besides that they are generally better to grind with. Winning more games means laddering faster.

HS Spider answers: Priests will discover paladin secrets from hydrologist. Classes with secrets will discover secrets from their class, otherwise they will discover paladin secretsThank you HS Spider! -

RavenSunHP posted a message on This game is not fun for new players at allPosted in: General DiscussionWell yes and no.
There is no need for Cubelock and all its dust to get good results both in constructed and casual.
New players are poorly supported while the game has settled around the double class legendary per expansion. And this should change, ie the collection curve should be much faster early on (and bundles are completely insufficient and unreliable).
But new players cannot expect to start already on par with the same resources as veterans.

TheHoodedClaw posted a message on New Druid Legendary Spell - Floop's Glorious GloopPosted in: Card DiscussionThis card is made for Treat Druid. It has insane synergy with Living Mana and the new "giant" Mulchmuncher.
Not only do you get temporary mana to activate into future permanent ones with living mana but you also get to discount the muncher super fast thanks to this and maybe cast two in one turn.
Surprised that I haven't seen more people discussing this use of Gloop. Isn't this the most broken thing ever?
If you cast this on turn 3 and then trade minions such that 3 die, you can then cast Living Mana to gain 6 Mana Treants.
When they die, you have successfully avoided the "this turn only" trigger on Floop's Glorious Gloop so you have accelerated by 3 crystals permanently, right?
Do we know if Mana Treant tokens count as Treants for Mulchmuncher?

jsager99 posted a message on New Druid Legendary Minion - Flobbidinous FloopPosted in: Card DiscussionJust no...Play t9 Malygos and then, on t10, play this and Faceless Manipulator it for two malygos for 10-mana. Alternately, use this combo with Hadronox for two free taunt floods.
This is meta-defining, but not in a good way.

Sounder posted a message on Cutting the Gold Earned from Casual in Half - A DiscussionPosted in: General DiscussionI don't understand the problem this thread is trying to solve. When Casual is used as a "killing floor for netdeckers that play for the sole purpose of earning gold", how -- specifically -- is that bad for others?
MMR is used in casual. You will be paired against an opponent with a similar MMR to yourself. If all the netdeckers have a high MMR and you with your fun homebrew deck have a low MMR, you won't see them. If your fun homebrew deck can earn a high enough MMR to see them, then you're good enough to go toe-to-toe with them too.

Not all decks are smorc ;-)

I play currently a pure aggro pally, and honestly I don't think there is an aggro problem to solve, actually they should nerf the Cube IMHO (hehe).
I am an average F2P, hovering round rank 11. Most of the games I win against control decks (priests and locks) go well after turn 10 so the rule about playtime will not help. Of course I make many mistakes, and that does not help to close game faster than turn 7, however, what's the % of players above rank 5? Below 15 you have a lot of aggro, yes, but how boring fighting your way to rank 10th when you've been doing that for 4 years.... And why should I play a game where I am obliged to spend money to make expensive control decks, which I generally can afford only 1 month before each new expansion? And so I shard everything just to shard again my legendaries for the cheap blues on the next expansions...just to try and play them for a while...
And why I should wait 15 minutes to play ranked? Just because people having more money than me to spend in this game and love staring at a screen at level 19 do not have to make that extra effort to tech their deck with a couple of defile, dragon potion etc? Also, in that case, control decks would have to wait 15 minutes too...or make the game last longer on purpose in order not to wait...meta comes and goes, and now there is only one aggro deck, aggro pally with no Tirion, no silence no ooze. And that deck performs quite well, but there are so many control decks that it is difficult to win 3 games in a row. So yes, I have an amazing 56,3% win rate, unfortunately since they are not in a row I'm stuck at lvl 12/11...
Here are my stats in the past 3 days, EU server, if anyone is interested in talking about actual % and checking if your solutions would really solve the problem...or just generate more expensive, control decks and have F2P run away from HS.
cheers to cheap aggro deck :-)

I do not see why many people concentrate on alternative design being worst than the original...The point is: the original sucks. Dot.
