I've not tried this but you could see if Feugen and Stalagg work. Their deathrattles sync nicely with Undertaker, they're quite the threat on the board and there is the potential for KT antics.
I did run it for a few games in the slot of Keeper of the Grove, however I found myself waiting for the 'perfect moment' to play it and it would just sit in my hand. Though it has potential, most games you'll just get one extra Damaged Golem out of it or a draw off Loot Hoarder, whereas the Keeper allows you to bypass taunts.
The fun of Cairne is having a meaty, hard-to-remove deathrattle on the board that synergizes (is that a verb?) well with Undertaker and KT. Taunt-wise the deck should be ok with Druid o/t Claw and Sludge Belcher. Off the top of my head I would suggest adding a second Keeper of the Grove (or Thalnos if you have him) to speed the deck up / do some surprise damage.
Edit: only now saw the Loatheb/Rag thing. Out of those two I'd go with Loatheb. Although Rag is a game changer, your end hand can get a bit cluttered with KT, Sylvanas, and the combo. Perhaps try my suggestions above?
Thanks! The reason I run only one Keeper is because it does little for the 4 areas my deck focuses on. As a result the deck is poor vs Handlock and heal based control. I could add another one, but I'd hate to see one of the deathrattles or card draws go that speed it up so nicely
Ysera is a horrible card to play against, especially combined with Priest or Paladin healing. It's less problematic in Warrior control as they have less minions on the board and by turn 9 or 10 they should be within range of the Savage Roar combo.
Thanks for trying it out! Indeed Handlock is close to unwinnable, but the inclusion of Big Game Hunters and another Keeper would slow it down in other areas. Luckily it has decent chances vs. many other decks so statistically you should come out on top.
I watched an interesting vid by Jotto some time ago on how to reach legend (just before I did myself). Basically he says that the road to legendary is one of 55% wins overall and that's a winratio to be proud of (you won't win 70-80% of your games as some deck claim). Secondly my personal advise would be to find out what your play style is (aggro, control, rush) and craft your cards accordingly. The deck that took me to legendary (backspace, coldlight) only had Leeroy and Mukkla in there. The month before I got to rank 2 with shockadin with only Leeroy. Before that I played zoo to rank 3 without legendaries. I like aggro/rush and my crafted cards were accordingly.
You don't need to spend real money to get far in this game (I didn't). Just diligently do your dailies and some extra wins for gold (30 mins a day if you play aggro) and you'll get there. Also, reading articles on here and watching the odd twitch stream or two helps. I used to read the meta reports that DKMR (I think?) write up but cba anymore after reaching legendary once.
Made an account just to say thank you for this deck. I was stuck for 2 seasons on rank 2 with the shockadin deck and every time I would drop down. After similar ups and downs this deck finally made the push into rank 1 and beyond :). In fact so much so that I made it up to legendary rank 52! (Here at home we all thought we'd be going to the tournament lol). After that I dropped many places though but I was happy to finally have achieved legendary.
The deck probably won't be too good ranking up due to the boatloads of zoo and druid decks but once you get past 5 it's the best deck ever.

Try Thalnos if you have him, else a second Keeper
