Control warrior with C'Thun is looking pretty dope at this point, can't wait to tinker with my control warrior.

Krezione posted a message on New Warrior Card - Ancient ShieldbearerPosted in: Card DiscussionIt seems every class has a OP card "If C'thun have X Attack". Rogue card must be "... give your weapon +5 Attack".
No, rogue cards allways sucks... it will be a 9/4 for 9 that gives you a coin if C'thun has more than 15 attack... ^^ -

asteroidm posted a message on New Card - Eater of SecretsPosted in: Card DiscussionI like the design for this card as well as Kezan a lot, and I think like Kezan it'll probably see a reasonable amount of tournament play if Freeze Mage stays relevant.
If you think this is going to adequately counter Secret Paladin, I'd like to point you to Flare. One upside is at least you develop your board, so maybe it's better than Flare... But it's still a pretty all-in tech card that comparatively feels worse than Kezan if you're playing it for tempo.
Secret Paladin is probably going to die anyway unless there's a big surge of solid early game in the next expansion, but it really doesn't have anything to do with this card being introduced. It wouldn't be any worse than right now when you have people who put 2x Flare in a hunter deck to try and steal wins from Secret Paladin.
Well a few things here, Flare is obviously a hunter only card and Kezan doesn't do near enough to counter Secret paladin. This, as you said, develops board so it directly challenges the 6/6 body at 4 secrets and can still trade over the course of two attacks with 3, fairly normal numbers. We'll have to see how wild shakes out I suppose to see if this is a card worth including as a tech option against secret paladin. I think if Secret Paladin continues to be strong in wild you will see this as a one of at least in tech spots.I mean secret paladin is strong now in part because only one class has any counter to it and that class doesn't want to put in what is nearly a complete dead drop against every other deck except freeze mage. This card, at least develops a creature. Not the best without it's effect but I better than flare I think. -

Control Warriors don't play Varian primarily because he brings you closer to fatigue and messes up your battlecries. Alexstrasza, Shieldmaiden, and BGH's battlecries, among others, play a huge part in CW's game. The 10-mana cost is a secondary consideration and is, frankly, not much of a drawback considering that CWs play long drawn out games.
N'zoth is different. He (It?) doesn't have Varian's drawbacks and he synergizes well with minions that you naturally and usually play, i.e., Sylvanas. In fact, since Shieldmaidens are rotating out, there'll be room for Cairne as a replacement 6-drop. Just having those 2 minions (Syvanas and Cairne) resurrected by N'zoth is potentially game ending.

For a second, the hunter in me wondered where its face is.

Your opponent has one free turn to shred your armor. Afterwards, you give a whole new meaning to the term "removal".
Hard countered by Ice Block and Counterspell.
