Yukinono posted a message on Dalaran Heist Hotfixes Released - Duplatransmogrifier, Elixir of VigorPosted in: NewsI just hope they could allow us to share the progress of unlock new hero powers and decks in heroic mode.
Unlock them once again in heroic mode just sort of painful, and I really do not enjoy replaying the same deck and hero power again if I have use it to beat the bosses.

MmeMemeStone posted a message on Found good synergy for Shadowreaper + ShadowformPosted in: PriestSince the card art for Shadowreaper Anduin is so ugly (imho), I have found an actual synergy between this card and Shadowform : you get a portrait so cool it makes your opponent concede: OP!
Now, on a more serious note, don't you guys think they could have made much better than this?
Compare it to a picture taken from the trailer:

You have no clue about Zoo, Warlock or the game. -

They hired an actor (or an intern) put on a costume and then had a cameraman follow him around for an hour if not less to make 100 seconds worth of content (excluding the intro and the outro). I'm going to take a wild guess and say they didn't exactly break the bank on this one.

I can't believe that how long they are taking to release the adventure. I always enjoyed the solo content so I am looking forward to this one, especially with it being the start of a greater storyline and all. And I know that they probably wanting to keep the hype by spacing up stuff between expansions (like they do with the arena seasons as well).
That being said, I don't think that it will add to player satisfaction to have it over a month away from the release date since it gives packs as its reward so people will have to wait considerably with their gold or money before they have the full collection they can afford to play with. Thankfully I find arena to be the better game mode at this moment, otherwise I'd be more than mildly dissatisfied.

I want to announce to this forum that within the hour I will write a post the will express my feelings of impatience and mild dissatisfaction concerning the delay of the release of the single player content when compared to the release of the expansion. Stay tuned for more!

Of course pros are still humans with certain likes and dislikes towards certain styles and they will tend to cry out against cards they belong into styles they dislike more. I still don't think that it makes them as unjustifiable as any player in their opinions. For instance I myself like aggro and combo decks more, and while I can see pitting every card in each player's deck against each other as epic if it happens once in a blue moon, I find it really boring when it happens every other game.
With that in mind I would like a dr. Boom nerf and wouldn't want a prep or Edwin nerf since these cards are the main reason rogue has a chance against warrior. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if I heard about an Edwin nerf because as an individual card, its power level is way above most other cards, especially in a class like rogue where they got a ton of cheap cards to buff it. Even the miscreant nerf, while it might seem weird for some, Firebat had made a video that pretty much showed the correlation on how well a deck does against rogue with how easily you can kill their miscreant on 3. On the other hand I was hearing from twitch chat about how militia commander should be nerfed when a streamer was getting beat by one.
What I'm getting at is that while I don't think that Blizzard should nerf what pros say should be nerfed since they are human beings with preferences and not game designers, I think that pros are probably the most accurate in identifying the strongest cards of each class and what makes a deck stick together, so if a card is getting nerfed they are probably the best people to ask to narrow the pool for you.

Well I think the changes made were pretty decent in general but there were more changes that should have been made. Druid for instance has been ridiculous, in the sense that their core cards are so powerful that many times you could have gotten UIed in the face and still not know whether you're playing against maly, togwaggle, token, mecha'thun etc. I've even seen streamers play seaforium bomber druid and while not OP, it worked out decently because the rest of the cards carried them. Personally I would nerf spreading plague even more since druids traditionally aren't supposed to deal with wide board pretty well and druids being able to go plague and stuff like branching paths/ anti magic shell/ strongshell scavenger the same turn is pretty disgusting.
The other deck I'd really want to see a nerf towards is odd warrior. Not only you can feel it, but VS has even mathematically proved in one of their articles how this is the most polarized meta ever. The main culprits are quest rogue and odd warrior. Giggling getting hit means that quest rogue will be a lot less good, which is good for odd warrior. I'd really want to see something like upgraded warrior power giving 3 armor, because having a strong really polarized deck get even better for the meta can't be the harbinger of anything good.

Is it possible to have the decklists of people in the same group next to each other instead of totally randomly? It would be a significant quality of life upgrade for people curious to see who's favored in each group.

Wow, the math on this post is really really bad. Let's take it from the beginning:
1) 100 is the average of what you get if you dust EVERYTHING. It's not the median (which could be as low as the minimum of 40 dust), but it is the average over all packs. Otherwise, if you had nothing then just getting the bare minimum of 4 commons and a rare would be worth 4*40+100 = 260 dust to you.
2) Breaking the packs into 50+20 and saying that 20 is too small of a sample size to hit the average is kinda disingenuous. On average people who get 50 packs will get 5000 dust and people who get 70 packs will get 7000 dust. Let's keep it as simple as that, if you used creative math you could say that since the median is 40 dust then the most probable outcome for opening a single pack would be 40 dust, so 70 times that would be 2800 dust. Which in reality is less than you'd get from 50 packs. Math can lead to pretty unrealistic results when you aren't careful with your assumptions.
3) You are correct in saying that you wouldn't typically get a golden legendary in 20 packs. If you care about owning golden legendaries this is the better offer.
4) If you're planning on disenchanting it to craft a legendary of your choice though, again the average is called average for a reason, on average people who buy 70 packs end up with 2k dust more than people who buy 50 packs. So I believe that if you want a gold legendary this is the better deal, but if you would dust it to craft a legendary of your choice then the 70 packs total are better. And the reason for my belief is that 3200>2000>1600.
And don't get me wrong I think that the mega bundle is a decent offer for people who like to buy packs to complete their collection, it just gripes me to see math used incorrectly to support either argument. Also if people are getting hosed with this deal it's probably people who like to play arena and also like jaraxxus because they would need to fork out $80 exclusively for jaraxxus since the packs are useless to them. I can't completely relate because I don't care that much for cosmetics, but I would feel far more sorry for them than for people who are *forced* to live with the second best preorder offer that blizzard has ever made instead of the best.

Being overwhelmed by a full board of 3/3s and tarim? Are shamans breaking the meta with their usual earth elemental, ancestral spirit and faceless manipulator nonsense? Is the only thing protecting you a single hound? Fear not, because with Houndmaster Shaw and necrotic geist this humble hound will protect you to the death and rush from the undeath until all your enemies are dead! (Pre) order now for only $49.99!

This card isn't about ramping to 10, this card is about having an extra 10 mana crystals that you can use as you want. Once you get this card to have 1 durability, next turn you can go Malygos, hit with the weapon to have 10 mana, faceless your malygos and then go swipe double moonfire for 36 damage to the player and 12 to the enemy board in a single turn. You can't do that with Kun.
Also a class that has UI can never have too much ramp, let's not forget that in the expansion after this one, mire keepers and jade blossoms are rotating out. Also playing this forces your opponent to either remove it when you'd have 8 mana (effectively making this card a 4 mana nourish that also allows you to smack things) or risk that you can go medivh into Kun if you run him into UI for a massive power play.
I think there's a good chance that this card won't be game breaking as a 4 mana legendary gain 2 mana crystals should be manageable, but if your opponent doesn't hit the weapon removal, this card can be game winning. And let's not forget the fact that until people learn to play around this card there will probably be a lot of people who either ramp the druid to 10 on their turn 4, or they either get OTK'd by leaving it up.

Well although I wouldn't say no to rewards what this mode needs is to give 10 gold per 3 wins and the ability to complete quests there. I agree that having a reward for your first 8 win of the day would probably end up grindy, even if it was a pack per week like tavern brawl you'd be "forcing" people who need the pack to do it whether they enjoy the mode or not.
On the other hand if you don't get gold per wins there you'd feel penalised for playing this game mode when playing standard or arena could help you fill your collection. And tbh I don't think that there is going to be that much more replayability over adventures once you've got the cardback and beaten all bosses. At least from what I've seen from the dungeon runs done in the Jungle Giants vs Grimestreet Grifters match today, good players won't see it as too much of a challenge which would make them more inclined to experiment (again, how often have you experimented with different ways of killing an adventure boss you've already cleared?).
Of course even with no extra replayability other than getting the cardback and seeing all the bosses you'd probably spend more time there than in any other adventure released so far. So even in the worst case scenario this expansion would bring more content than each other adventure so far, for it to be another game mode that will get the long term attention of people though, I think some rewards are needed, even if these rewards are the really bland golds per win and ability to complete quests. Then again, given the fact that this is a free mode of a free game that doesn't make you want to buy packs or utilize you so their game is better (like you would be doing if you were helping cutting down queue times) it would make sense if they didn't really want this mode to be as popular as standard or arena.
