Should be a corrupted treant. Slimes are just lazy at this point.

This card isn't great for patron but I think it might actually see play in some control warrior decks. It offers more value than just a standard whirlwind by giving you a 3/3 body as well. Still, I wish it was a 3/4, then it would pretty much be auto-include.

It's still nowhere on the level of Death's Bite or Unstable Ghoul in patron.

Sounds about right, either that or May 1st, that way the ranks will reset right in time for standard/wild.

Ah, that sucks it wastes Rag's end of turn effect but I still think he could be decent in deathrattle decks.

I don't think it would be that bad to run him in the same deck as N'Zoth. Chances are he won't put N'Zoth into play, he's just one minion out of 20 or so. You can always play around it too, don't play Y'Shaarj if you haven't drawn N'Zoth yet or if you're absolutely counting on his battlecry effect. Absolute worst case scenario, you'd get a 10/10 and a 5/7 on the field at the same time if you do. It would suck to waste his battlecry, but still not the end of the world.

I'm not trying to say Y'Shaarj is an amazing card, but I'm still going to try him in a few decks, I don't think he's "Horrible." If the meta slows down, it won't be unheard of to run two 10 mana cost minions. I actually used to run Deathwing and Varian in the same deck back when TGT first came out. Deathwing was there for fatigue situations when my opponent already wasted all their removal on everything else and it was hilarious when Varian would throw Deathwing onto the field without activating his battlecry.

How is it dependant on BGH nerf?
    It's not at all!

The card is horrible. It's the only god (so far) that you can't build a deck around, the only god that is HEAVILY dependant on RNG to even be relevant (because trust me, you will play this, it will hit a 1-drop and you will have used 10 mana to play a Argent Squire), it's the only god that doesn't put you in a position to seriously threaten a game win in the next turn unless you are really lucky with whatever thing it puts into play, it WILL waste battlecries, it WILL waste end of turn effects, and to top it all of, it's effect it's so unimaginative and a colossal waste of lore!

So far both the gods had imaginative BIG and chaotic effects, and now we have this that is just a re-render of Wrynn (which has a much much greater chance of actually winning the game) but with a much lamer and uninteresting effect.
It fails on all fronts, and it resembles everything a Old God should never be: It's just a generic big and default creature, that won't even see any play.

I agree that he isn't nearly as strong as N'Zoth or C'thun, and I agree that an old god should be better lore wise. Y'Shaarj obviously won't be a card you build a deck around but I still think he will see some play. You obviously wouldn't use him in a deck that has minions like argent squire. He could possibly fit in late-game control decks though and has some synergy with deathrattle minions as well as both forms of Ragnaros.
He might fit in an N'Zoth deck, and as long as he doesn't draw N'Zoth, you could get some value from instantly throwing Sylvanas, Tirion, Anub'Arak, Cairne, Savannah Highmane, or w/e you're running in a deathrattle deck onto the field.
The fact that he's 10/10 makes him hard to deal with if BGH is nerfed, that's the highest vanilla stats in the game aside from Deathwing or Thaddius. Deathwing does see play, and is actually quite good in certain fatigue decks, and will also be improved with a BGH nerf.
I'm assuming Blizzard will release some Sha cards as well which should hopefully have some sort of synergy with Y'shaarj. I'm a little disappointed that C'thun is the only one with cultists currently.
Also Varian isn't very good because that much card draw is often bad in control warrior. I don't even run Acolytes in control warrior because of that reason. Varian also plays right into brawl/lightbomb. The best use of Varian right now is if you pull out deathrattle minions like belcher, shredder, etc. Which is why I think Y'Shaarj will be playable in deathrattle decks.

If you have just one 2 mana minion on the field, he'll transform it into a 3 mana minion, then again into a 4 mana minion.

If you have multiple minions, he could transform two different minions, or the same one twice. It's not targeted, so it will work the same way as Brann + Coghammer which can give two minions taunt and divine shield.

I really don't think he's as bad as people are making him out to be. That's entirely dependent on whether they nerf Big Game Hunter though. Varian wasn't that great in control warrior since he would often waste battlecries. Not to mention drawing that many cards can be bad for control warrior since the games can often go to fatigue.

Ysharrj is guaranteed to put one minion on the board and can be used in neutral non-battlecry dependent decks. Not to mention 10/10 stats are nothing to laugh at if BGH is indeed nerfed.

Shame Druid of the Fang won't be part of standard. Arguably the best druid beast card (especially if BGH is nerfed) if they're trying to support the archetype.

Toshley definitely the better card and wasn't very present in Tempo Mage. The only thing that comes to my mind is maybe with Darkbane/Lightbane, but i doubt it.

Eh, it depends. Toshley had a better 5/7 body opposed to 5/5 but I'd value the bananas over spare parts. You also get two from a battlecry opposed to one and then waiting for Toshley's deathrattle. You're right though that Toshley didn't see much play. Still, if not Tempo Mage, Mukla might be decent in Reno Mage as well.
Yeah, maybe he could work with the Valkyries. Run them both in priest with 2x Power Word Shield, 2x Velen's Chosen. Actually scratch that, Velen's Chosen won't be in standard anymore.

Could be a solid addition to Tempo Mage, it's kind of a Toshley equivalent except you can use it to buff up Flamewaker stats

Sure Blizzard, instead of putting in Cards like Arthas or Sargeras they change Ragnaros to a healer -.-

I would be really disappointed if Arthas was just a card. They need to add a Death Knight hero class at some point, as well as Monk/Demon Hunter.

They need to transfer Feign Death from GvG to Classic. It's always been a cool card but saw very little play.
