sparkisUS posted a message on why are you not rewarded for playing the game ?Posted in: General DiscussionWow... This come off as being so entitled. Having fun playing the game should be reward enough. However, if that isn't enough, you do get rewards. Daily. You just don't get it spoon fed to you.
The problem with this and other similarly-themed responses is the blatant ignorance of the cost of this game.If HS was a one-time-buy type of game, the "entitlement" argument would certainly be valid and warranted, but the fact remains this game can potentially cost well over a thousand bucks annually.100 packs represents about 75% of a typical expansion ((98/98) Commons, (64/72) Rares, (20/54) Epics, and (4.5/20) Legendaries).
Even a thrifty player averaging +60g per day (7260 per 4-month expansion cycle) is still on the hook for 18 packs ($25) if they want to play that 75% of each expansion. Keep in mind, though, that essentially means no Arena and being stuck with whatever random cards they get from their packs with little (no) option to deviate.
I'm sure you can see where this is going. It's not unreasonable to want (even expect) Blizzard to throw out some more freebies.
You're straw-manning the argument. There's nothing indicating ignorance in terms of the expense of the game. The comment is in response to the apparent entitled tone of the OP. Here, let me give you a quote:"You are literally rewarded with nothing for being loyal and logging in over and over."Maybe it's just me but that sounds pretty entitled. Of course there's more context than that one quote but the whole post to me reads in an entitled fashion. To your point, you're right in that the cost of the game is very high. Totally agree there. As a f2per, absolutely not ignorant of that fact. However, we're not entitled to more free stuff because we're unhappy with the free stuff we're currently getting or some other game is more generous with their free stuff. By the way the competitors have to be in order to compete with the market leader so no surprises there. While it may not be unreasonable to want more, I've love it if Blizzard were more generous with the free content, it's quite unreasonable to expect it or even demand it. This is the sort of entitlement complex I'm referring to.Blizzard don't owe us anything in the same way we don't owe them anything for playing their game for free. They establish the cost/features/freebies and we choose whether we accept it or not. There's nothing wrong with asking Blizzard to be a little more generous, sure. Particularly in light of how generous other games are to the point that you may want to switch over to them instead. However, to "expect" them give away more freebies (your words dude, not mine), I feel that is somewhat of an entitled attitude and that's what I'm calling out. -

RDeeHs posted a message on Control-Goya|3-Legend (85%Winrate)Posted in: Control-Goya|3-Legend (85%Winrate)Hey!
Posts like this make me so happy to post decks :)
I am sorry to hear that your first impression of the deck was going 6-0, but hearing you talk about how it was worth it because finally HS felt fun again, that's what makes me happy!
Playing this deck it always feels like you have to wait for a long time and plan ahead, getting to eager usually results in a too big a loss of value.
At first me and my friends just called it High roll meme shaman, for good reason, but we noticed that it had a good enough chance of highroll to be consistent. If we put Elize in I feel like we lower the % of highroll too much :/ But I have been thinking of other cool cards like Chromagus, nice stats, awesome unique effect and helps out to create value + "draw". There is a lot of good spells to duplicate and insane minions to duplicate, so maybe he could work?
*Lightning bolt is so good vs aggro and as a smal removal, even late game as a smal face burst. I wouldn't replace it as we only have that + lava shock to use as target spells.
Hope this could help out! :)

Cool idea but pretty hard to keep track of everything.
Do we know what cards we have, what cards we draw, how much mana we have etc?
Need to define some rules.

If you can't get past rank 15 it's your playstyle that is the issue more than the decks.
When you're playing do you ever think about what your opponent might play next turn? Or do you just play what seems like the strongest card every time?
I'll bet youre main issue is that you don't play around your opponent. I used to do this too. I would never stop and think "if i make this play, what could my opponent have that could counter it?"
Once I started thinking that way i made huge progress. Now i regularly get to rank 4-5 and with more experience i have no doubt i will reach legend.
Another vital thing is knowledge about all the most popular decks in the meta.
If you don't know what cards are in your opponent's deck, you can never play around them successfully.
Hope this is somewhat helpful :)

The crashing while exiting bug is new since Un'Goro. Happens to me every time. Not a major inconvenience though.
I haven't noticed any more disconnects than usual lately. But i agree that the mechanism they have implemented for reconnecting to games is clunky at best.
Many times I've been stuck on the screen where it says it's resuming the game but it just hangs there and my only option is to kill the app. Very annoying.

Pirate Warrior is still the highest win rate of all and taunt warrior is second followed by midrange hunter, murloc paladin and then quest rogue.
Quest Rogue is strong against control and weak against aggro.
You can't expect your deck to have no weak match ups, other wise it would be OP itself.

Watch how they bounce and if you think they will complete the quest next turn then kill their minions.
If you do enough face damage early they'll never recover.
It's not like braindead pirate warrior, you actually have to pick your plays carefully, in fact it's actually very vulnerable to misplays.
For instance, one game I had Igneous + two Fire Flys + a Shadowstep in hand. Rather than waiting for a second bounce to use with the Fire Flys I bounced the Igneous and left him on board. My opponenent then assumes I'm trying to use him for the quest and kills it, of course then I then can drop the two Fire Flys to leave 4 Flame Elementals in my hand.

To be honest, I don't think you don't need to worry about specifically countering quest rogue, because not half as many people are playing it as everyone thinks.
Here's a snap of the almost 200 games I've played since Un'Goro, granted that's not a very large sample size but I think it's enough to give a decent indication of how diverse the current meta actually is:

Wow! I drew the nuts first time!
Turn 1 PW Shield, turn 2 Divine Spirit, turn 3 Inner Fire! GG!

Thanks! So easy first time!

That's not a good reason not to post proof.
If you have it you should post it, it's a common courtesy when posting decks making claims like this.
Plus it's important to see the breakdown of your match ups and win rates vs certain classes/decks.
