It was clear that I would play Warlock. Did so back in the day when I played WoW. I'm always about control and about options in TCG games, so I played an control deck, with the aim to keep the board under my control and up-trade smartly. Nowadays you'd call that "Zoo", but back then it wasn't called that. Always played more of a mid range deck, and with Demon-lock control I still play that. Hate handlock style.
I played a number of hand lock/demonlock decks prior to crafting Jaraxxus and while it is not always played (in fact it might get played in 2 out of 10 matches) the times it is played it is often a game changer. However, without it, you are likely only going to lose 10-20% more matches than with. It isn't absolutely crucial but a win more card. Toss in a Healbot until you get one.
In the same vein, I played probably over a 200 matches with and without Mal'Ganis and can safely say, he is not needed. :p
He is your winning condition in long drawn matches. Also, as a 4/16 taunt with Defender of Argus, he single-handedly made opponents give up.
Edit: Mal Ganis isn't mandatory. He's not even all that good. Terrible turn 9+ drop, unless you are already winning. ONLY viable via Void Caller, and even then, I have yet to see him being alive for more than a turn.

Now we only need some actual demon utility cards... the two buffs aren't enough and aren't that good.

Blizzard or Frost Nova?

I'd disenchant everything that you don't need for your deck. In particular in the beginning.

Yep. :) => "Shrink potion" (initially thought it was the cake, but it reverses the effect)
2nd line alludes to the effect of taking 2 attack from a minion.
Yes, I corrected myself earlier (and edited the riddle as well) and also gave another strong hint in the process. Hope the riddle wasn't too bad.

Correct. :) Care to elaborate your thinking, or did you just pick at random? :p

Nope, but good thinking.

No, but you're right about that it's a class card.

Nope and nope and I don't see a resemblance to either line. x)

Which cake has stolen someones thoughts? (nope) :p Actually I
Tip: It's a minion.
Edit: I might have mixed up the 'cake'. Maybe it's a 'potion'. (also a strong hint)

Yes and nope. :)
The first line hints the card name. The 2nd line the effect.

Don't attack with a stolen Mistress of Pain when you have Auchenai Soulpriest on the board. It'll result in infinite damage until you are dead.
