Hey guys so after Blizzard announced the new expansion it got me thinking what kind of new giant they might add to the game as they always seem to do. This is an idea I came up with that I though would be pretty cool, just wanted to here your opinions.

Hootanic posted a message on nerf Knife Juggler - The Most Abused Card in the GamePosted in: Card DiscussionKnife Juggler right now is pretty crazy in quite a few decks that focus on flooding the board. However, with Naxx and GvG leaving soon, those same mechanics that make the Juggler insane will ultimately nerf the card. Whether or not it will need an additional nerf for the sake of Wild Mode is up to the decision of the Balance Team.
Just as a recap, there will be no more:
Haunted Creeper, Muster for Battle, and Imp-losion, along with many other minions with deathrattles spawning additional minions.
Agreed - once Standard starts, many of the cards that capitalize on Knife Juggler will be phased out. With the exception of Hunter cards like Unleash the Hounds and Snake Trap, there will be few cards that will fully capitalize on the value of the card. Unless this new expansion adds some effective activators, Knife Juggler will become weaker once Standard hits. -

iandakar posted a message on Isn't anyone Here bothered on how the formats will rotate instead of formats being added to the gamePosted in: General DiscussionQuote from DragonConsort >>Here Modern in Magic sucks. Anyways I am bothered. Many are like "this is how tcgs work, magic does it and it has survived for eons, blah blah"
Hearthstone is a digital game. Cards aren't written in stone, they can be adjusted or even outright changed. Yet here they are going to use a format intended for paper games. Paper games have tons of out of print cards, and in addition those cards can be traded or sold for real cash.
What can the digital still images representing cards in Hearthstone be sold for? Nothing, and you can't trade them either.
Well, note that the rotation isn't for removing OP cards. Those can be handled by nerfs. What rotations are meant to do is deal with decks. It's dealing with the fact that control warrior and freeze mage has been a big 'thing' since the start and nothing short of an overpowered deck will shake them off. They COULD start nerfing cards to kill popular decks but they would be nerfing a lot of cards resulting in a situation worse than putting them into Wild. Imagine instead of finding out that oil rogue moved to another format that they turned Oil into "add +1 attack to charge creatures". They've effectively ruined your deck permanently. And not because it's OP. Just because it's been around for too long. While they ARE using the matter of 'difficulty for new player's (which I still consider MEH, especially since I've been there in other card games) they do have a point when it comes to archetype staleness. Just about every major deck is getting the boot with this change, to make the community turn to new ideas and new decks in the new format. Trying to evoke that with nerfs would've been a lot more messier, a lot uglier to the community, and a lot less effective. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Not sure if it's worth a deck slot quite yet, but expect to see this card a lot regardless. Omega Assembly and Dr.Boom's Delivery Drone are going to discover this card often.

Crystallizer, Crystal Stag, Crystal Power. inb4 someone names this deck "Crystal Druid".
It's worth noting that just like Zandalari Templar, you don't have to heal your face in order to get the Stag to activate. Looking forward to seeing if this Druid style has any legs.

Guess it's finally time to craft Cathedral Gargoyle. I'm game.

Madame Lazul has the Millennium Eye!
Not the most exciting effect sure, but information about what to play around in the coming turns is very important. Also, I'll never have to worry about getting the Coin like I usually do with Mind Vision.

The other two cards seem pretty good, but Rafaam's Scheme just seems terrible for now.
No one played Fiendish Circle, and it's only better than Forbidden Ritual if you kept it in your opening hand. Here's hoping there's more Grim Rally type cards in the set that can synergize with all the token generation going on.

March 31 - Last time we saw that eye was with Deck of Wonders. I expect some crazy RNG out of that one.
