posted a message on What is your favorite MSOG deck and why?

My favorite thus far is my "Kabal Killer" Jade Rogue that includes Beneath the Grounds to interrupt Reno and Kazakus effects.  You would be surprised how many people still play those cards even when they don't have the yellow border around them.

posted a message on We know kabal and grimy goon mechanics, but what for jade lotus?

That very well could be, I was only observing what I saw in the teasers and trailer.  I kinda have a feeling the Jade Lotus will be the next when it comes to revealing their mechanic next week...hopefully.

As far as potions go for the Kabal, merely having potions in the card art of all their spells can't be called original when the Grimy Goons got a brand new mechanic to the game.  Although, when I think about how Kazakus, the leader of the Kabal works and how he's immediately able to make a relevant spell to fit the situation, perhaps his followers operate under the same mechanic, but much slower.  Say Mage, Priest, and Warlock minions and spells allow you to obtain components (like spare parts) over the course of the game that they could then combine to make custom spells exclusive to their class.

In it's own way, it feels very similar to how the Goons operate.  Investing in understated minions early to get a big payout in the mid game.  However, in this potion idea, you invest in possibly understated minions to gain powerful spell potions in the later stages when it really matters.  Just throwing ideas around...only Blizz knows.

posted a message on We know kabal and grimy goon mechanics, but what for jade lotus?

It's a solid guess that the Kabal's gimmick has to do with Red Mana Crystals.  Other than potion crafting, which we've already seen in every new spell that Priest received, the only other thing alluded to in the teaser newspapers as well as the trailer itself was them dealing with these new types of mana.  Perhaps some cards create red mana and others consume it for an effect.  It's hard to nail this one down since Mage, Priest, and Warlock don't already have some central theme outside of "they cast spells", I mean...every class does that.

At least the Grimy Goons all have very good weapons in their line up and have at some point in Hearthstone's history had a "Midrange" style which I'm seeing more a push towards everyday with these reveals.

As for the Jade Lotus, who knows.  The gang itself deals in a lot of black market style dealings and has the whole Kung Fu / Ninja vibe going for it, which is awesome.  However, the classes that associate with them don't seem to blend together in my mind.  One thing I did notice is that Rogue, Druid, and Shaman all have at some point run the Malygos OTK style of deck which focuses on card draw in order to get you closer to that win.  So perhaps, they want to associate the Jade Lotus with a constant cycle of cards to reach a certain combo win condition (Malygos optional).  As for the shady dealing aspect of the gang, deck manipulation could also be a possibility.  Beneath the Grounds is a card that only saw play when Yogg-Saron casted it and Gang Up has only been seen in a single style of Rogue because the cards themselves have been deemed too "slow".  However, if an entire theme is based around messing with your opponents draws and ensuring that you have the best possible answer when you need them could be something to be exited about.

posted a message on What are your Top wishes for the next expansion?

A new keyword is on the top of my list.  Discover was introduced into the game nearly a year ago and it's been a great addition, but we need something new.  If it turns out to be as good as Discover was, we can look forward to having additional cards with that keyword introduced in many expansions to come.

An identity for Rogue.  Now this might not come out of this expansion, but I'd like to see the beginnings of it.  Rogue used to have a lot of weapon synergy, but it was nerfed to oblivion.  Now there's this push for stealing your opponent's class cards, which is cool but it never feels like you're playing a Rogue when you use that specific deck.  When the majority of Rogue decks require the use of neutral cards to succeed like Questing AdventurerGadgetzan Auctioneer, or Malygos that alone should be a sign that they don't have the proper class cards to define an identity for themselves.

More "non-collectable" RNG based cards.  Let's face it, Blizzard nerfed Tuskarr Totemic because they realized the power level range could win or you lose you the game the moment you play it.  However, they still introduced the portal cards as well as Barnes with a similar effect of either winning or losing the game because of the minion you get.  If there were more cards like the Spare Parts from GvG and Toxins from Xaril, Poisoned Mind, the complaints about the "skill-less" RNG that many people complain about today would diminish.

posted a message on Class Mechanics and Synergies Distribution List

Some mechanics for Rogue might include cards shuffling into the deck like Gang Up and Beneath the Grounds.

Another would be the "Deal X damage to an undamaged minion" text.

Also, Rogues have quite a bit of Pirate synergy.

Another would be the "Return to the hand" mechanic seen in Sap, Vanish, and even Anub'arak

Actually, since Tiddler's card is the last of the ones everyone votes on, it will be revealed on Saturday.

At least that's what it said on the original post about voting 4 weeks ago.

As soon as I saw this card, I thought of the corruption of our good friend the Azure Drake.  The polar opposite would be something like:

Tainted Drake - 4 mana - 5/5: Your opponent has Spell Damage -1, Deathrattle: Your opponent draws a card.

Who knows though, we just have to be patient.

posted a message on WoG release date: 12/4 (speculation)

Here's the link to that article MasterKulon was talking about: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/20742955091

April 16th will be the last card revealed from a streamer.  So by previous expansion logic, we need at least one more week (and a half) or so after that before the expansion hits.  Blizz will most likely reveal all the remaining cards during that time to keep the hype rolling.

Then again, this set is different with the whole Standard / Wild formats coming in as well.  I wasn't really surprised when I initially heard the "late April, early May" announcement.  They themselves aren't sure if everything is sorted out for such a big change.

It was confirmed that the growing C'Thun buff is tied to your player and not to the card itself.  So, if C'Thun dies, this giant would still get the discount.

posted a message on Good deck w/o Naxx?

Aggro Shaman is a deck you can get high ranks provided you have enough time to do so.  It also doesn't run any cards from Naxx.  The most expensive card(s) in that deck go towards Doomhammer.
