If it's anything like the Boomsday release it'll be like this:
This week: Drip feed of cards begins usually from Blizzard themselves in blog posts (we got 2 cards yesterday) along with 1-2 development videos talking about Overkill, Spirits, and/or the single player content.
Next week: First live stream with community guest (like Day9), followed by further community reveals from the massive schedule.
Following week: Community reveals continue and ends the week with the massive 40-50 card dump/live stream.
A Pirate that encourages trading is pretty interesting, but I'm not sure it'll fit into those aggressive constructed decks. Probably a really good Arena card. I've always been a fan of Geosculptor Yip, I really hope the card sees some play.
Now that I think about it, why wasn't Ticket Scalper revealed in the Wronchi cartoon? Oh well, thus begins the slow drip of card reveals!
I'm fairly certain that Umbra and the Immortal Prelate have anti-synergy with one another. The Prelate would just immediately shuffle itself back into your deck the moment you play it. Now Baleful Banker on the other hand, I can see working since it gives you copies. Question is though, is the copied minion the original or the one with buffs on it?
Either way, cool idea. I was planning on trying something like this out myself.
I assume they want to reduce the size of the app so that everyone has enough storage space for Diablo Immortal...cause you know...[Insert Phone Meme here].
not a fan of the newer hero cards. replacing the hero with them doesn't make sense thematically like with jaraxxus or rag or the deathknights. and now they're even doing away with the notion that they're making them hero cards because they're the big, important, "central" character of the expansion which was the ill-reasoned fig leaf they gave themselves for hagatha and dr. boom, if this hero is just going to be 1 of 9 random combatants.
that said, if that's the worst criticism i have of this expansion, it'll be a major improvement over BDP
Seems like the only reasoning they put behind it was the fact that Zul'jin is a playable hero in other games like Warcraft III and HoTS. I've got no problem with him being the new Hero card, but it really does mess with the theme they were going with for Year of the Raven and having the Hero be the central focus of the expansion.
I sure hope Rastakhan can still be a card even though he's a cosmetic now. Something like "Rastakhan, Cursed King" sounds ok.
This was by far the most generous an initial pack opening has been for me. Out of 75 packs, I got 7 legendarys + 2 freebies, some of which were golden.
I've always like the idea behind a disruption based deck. However, if these proposed combo decks become meta and everyone is drawing their deck incredibly fast, then Rin will be completely useless.
It's worth noting that this card has the same stats as Brann Bronzebeard, a card that was sometimes played on curve instead of being used as a combo piece. When used in this way, you forced your opponent to deal with a minion they might have otherwise ignored. Saving their limited removal on a larger threat might not be an option if come next turn you're drawing multiple cards because of their decision to let Luna live.
That being said, it's a lot less flexible than Brann, so it probably won't fit into every deck. Still, I'm optimistic about this card.
I hear this complaint far too often. There's no reason that two different modes should be seeing the same decks played. At this point, Casual should just be remade into another mode that forces players to run different decks. For instance:
Classic Mode: Players are limited to only using Basic, Classic, and Hall of Fame cards. The true vanilla experience.
Pauper Mode: Players are limited to only using Basic, Common, and Rare cards. Not a lot of time and/or money invested? No problem.

Pretty fun idea. I noticed that the Night Elves are missing their Wisps though.

They mentioned in the reveal that it was going to be Zul'jin, the Hunter champion.

Login Freebie: Dr. Morrigan and Pre-order Freebie: Golden Crystalsmith Kangor
The rest were: Stargazer Luna, Golden Whizbang the Wonderful, Zilliax, Subject 9, Golden Boommaster Flark, Luna's Pocket Galaxy, and Flark's Boom-Zooka

From the way the card is written, the damage that Bomb does occurs as soon as you draw it.

Would Glinda Crowskin work instead? Multiple millings with Gnomeferatu or flooding the board with 0-cost Happy Ghoul could be a lot more versatile.

Always enjoy these types of events. Looking forward to it.
However, why is there no golden Swamp Dragon Egg? Missed opportunity there.

True to its flavor text, this card is seeing quite a bit of play in the Hadronox Taunt Druid.
