You talk about that as though it's somehow a bad thing?
It's the opposite, though. You shouldn't normally be able to know exactly what deck you are going to face just by the opponent's class. It requires players to actually develop and use the skill of adapting to the deck they are playing.
Unfortunately for a long time, we never really had that optimum goal of having to learn what deck the opponent is playing until recently. There have been brief glimpses of it now and then, like say with Druid, where you weren't sure if was Aggro Druid or a long term Control deck. And those make for greater gameplay.

Otherwise we are back to the stale metas of Classic Hearthstone where classes like Huner (for example) were only ever to play Face decks, etc). Deathknight is hopefully the start of multiple classes that can really diversify their viable deck options and make the game much more enjoyable overall.

Out of the respect of you moderating this forum I wont go further than saying this... That you think for a second the meta is healthy is actually moronic or you just don't play hearthstone. I'd like to assume its the ladder but lets be honest, the meta is always shit, but this time its shit with an extra bit of whip cream on it. This game is already dying like a brick, it has no where near the participation or ingenuity it did half a decade ago, its just kind of sad to watch now. you'd think getting to legend would be fun, but throwing fun decks at 30 death knight matches because they're all chasing their legend rank for the month is beyond the stupidest crap ever, it forces you to intentionally pick against them or pick something that has half a chance against them. yes there are other decks that "work" but there are no other decks that flat out win. This is literally secret pally levels of stupidity from grand tournament, turn 6 drop christmas tree and win game.

Well, no, you play Paladin, Shadow Priest, Frost DK, Miracle Rogue. It's definitely not a control meta, just look at lineups of last tournament.

     tournaments mean nothing to ladder

I will admit this is the first time I have seen someone complaining that there is too MUCH diversity in a class and that a class can play any of the three archetypes.
Considering it's something the community has been asking for for years, there is definitely a measure of irony here.

Yes variety in Multiple viable archtypes in multiple viable classes, There should not be a 50% match rate against a single class

I would actually be okay with DK if it weren't all the same Hearthstone replay netdecks. No one even tries to go even slightly outside of the carbon copy rank 1 legend streamer build.

Wish they would just reduce the amount of rank distributions... Some are just barren or flooded with bots

posted a message on The problem right now with hearthstone

It has nothing to do with anything in regards to one deck being strong or this or that, every deck has a playable archtype (obviously dk is a bit strong though)

The real issue is no deck is fun to play against at all

Blood control DK - Literally not fun to play against

Frost Dk - not fun to play against

tony druid - not fun to play against

shadow priest - not fun to play against

steal yo girl priest - not fun to play against

pure pally - not fun to play against

secret rogue - not fun to play against

literally every deck is basically made so as quickly as possible in a match you basically just not longer get to play the game. Even if you are playing one of those decks, its just not fun to run up into a mirror match or another one. Its the days of the og  where every match was secret pally, midrange druid, control warrior, freeze mage, miracle rogue, or face hunter

anything that wasn't exactly those decks was just not viable and if you played against one of those it just was not a fun game.

posted a message on This May Be the Rudest Deck Ever

Basically a homebrew mess around with rogue deck, its doing fairly well at d5 rankings. Basically the deck is centered around 2 win conditions, either using the grave diggers to hand destroy while setting up counters for anything they could possibly play or bouncing astalor in the end game. aggro if it gets stopped quick enough basically goes into top decking mode immediately if you get some removal and shelling. deep control decks can be a pain but sometimes this out paces blood knight which often leads them to into your top decking trap. The deck may seem like it doesn't work but the best i can offer is check out the replay i posted below, it should give a rough idea of what happens with this deck and how surprisingly consistent it can be.

    Counter Rogue
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (10) Ability (20)
    Loading Collection

They shouldn't be this efficient at the beginning of a rotation. its literally just because DK lost literally nothing which forces everyone to play control to deal with its aggro variant, which shuts out every other deck because DK plays control too to deal with other control decks

Literally want to see warlock dropped off a shelf, cheating out a 9 mana cards with no repercussion on turn 4 is stupid

also want to see DK losing out as well. Construct Quarter is beyond the stupidest thing on the planet not only that, they just have too many good control cards early on in the meta. Which is to be expected because none of its cards were rotated out except maybe a few core cards. like lets be honest, Horn of Winter ? theres a reason why innervate got nerfed, its basically the same exact thing.

Additionally Vampiric Blood and Patchwerk alongside Theotar, the Mad Duke disables every control decks win condition. and don't get me started on their insane curve.

Honorable mentions for bullshit Marrow Manipulator who's not even a legendary ( this should be enemy minions not face) and Frostwyrm's Fury (literally just compare this a second to Firelands Portal

but lets talk the real elephant in the room. you can practically run every one of their legendaries to full effect in almost every variant of their deck

posted a message on Actually hating these decks

Nearly every deck is a ladder rushing deck or a combo control "you can't play the game if you're not a ladder rushing deck" deck

Is this really what we have to play against the next few months....
