My problem is, the deck is stupid expensive - I'm missing quite a few cards, Namely Bulwark, Barov, Stickyfingers, 1x Bladestorm, and Ancharr.
Are these replaceable? If not, can someone point me to a more budget friendly version of the deck? I have a lot of cards, but I refuse to craft trash like Ancharr when it's going to rotate out in a couple months.
I got Rod of Roasting for the first time off of new Yogg. I was against a control warrior with a full hand, 30+ health and two 8/8 rattlegores. I was literally about to lose.
IT ACTUALLY FUCKING WORKED. I won the game, via twenty pyroblasts. Still can't believe it worked.
Was it absolute bullshit? Yes. But fuck it felt so goddamn good watching that motherfucker melt.
Big warlock player. Apparently tickatus is like tier 2? yet it's a staple in literally every warlock deck now. I'm a huge warlock player, so I gotta know, is it worth crafting this thing? I felt it wasn't that big of a deal when it was announced becuase it did literally nothing on board and you couldn't play it until turn 7 at earliest w/ coin, but i mean apparently he's a big deal.
@Nicodemus I can agree, the old gods are definitely slower than they were before... but at the same time, with the exception of DH, most decks these days have ways to stall out, from mage freeze to old-school control warrior to help slow the game down... if you ask me, the old gods can definitely work, they'll just take some workshopping. I'm particularly excited for yet another addition to the Yogg collection.
Personally? I'm actually really hyped for it. No joke. I've been playing a while, yes, but not only does this expansion bring back my favorite aesthetic in all of hearthstone, but the new progression system looks like it'll actually be great for new players. It helps give them consistent rewards as well as a more cohesive and reliable experience, and while yeah ultimately there is still a good chunk of pay to win, at the same time it really does feel like blizzard is ultimately helping people with this new progression system. You're still earning gold, just for different, less arbitrary things. It's becoming more like runeterra, where you're rewarded just for playing the game, instead of getting very slight rewards for like picking demon hunter at the start of a match or whatever.
What's the general consensus? I'm actually pretty hyped for all this. And Duels just looks plain awesome.
I know that Blizzard has a thing for making some pretty crummy meme cards - but this? This is just sad. Yeah, I know, it's a free reward-login card, but just compare it to Kael'thas, which defined a good chunk of the meta before it was nerfed. That was a free login card too - and fuck knows it was more viable than this dog shyte.
I mean, really? Rotate the freaking minions around? There are some very, *very* slight situations where you *might* get, like, a giant or something - but not only do you have to practically build your deck around him, but he's only good for one turn. After that, the enemy gets wise and starts playing along to his carousel effect. It's ludicrous.
Tyrande's picture has a wierd visual glitch with these horizontal white flashes, almost like static. I thought it was a glitch, but then I looked in her full portrait in the portrait part of my collection. Looking at it there, I swear on my life, it forms a pattern. It legitimately looks like she has wierd wings in the portrait - it's not even subtle, I swear on my life I see skeletal wings coming from her. Does anyone else notice this? Or was it always there, and I'm crazy?
Yeah it's really wierd. Thing is, when I look at her full portrait in game, you see the flashes are in a weird pattern. It almost looks like she has wings. It migiht just be me being paranoid, could well just be nothing or me being paranoid, but I swear it looks like she has slightly-visible wings, lined with those flickers. It's wierd, don't remember if she had those before.
It's been a few weeks - what are people experiencing with Sphere of Sapience? I really like the card and genuinely want to craft it, but of course I'm not sure if it's a safe craft or not. Thoughts?
So apparently Infiltrator Lilian is a tier 1 card... are you kidding me? she's literally an overcosted Jungle Panther with a Flamecannon attached. I mean... tempo? maybe? Don't see anyone running jungle panther, why would you run an overcosted one with a possible - *possible* - extra minion attached? It's not worth it at all.
I see all these videos, even post expansion release, saying how apparently Jandice Barov is a good card, if not a must-craft... and honestly, I don't see it.
For starters, her stats are terrible. "Oh, but that doesn't matter because you get two 5-costs with good stats!" Well see here's the thing - the five-cost minion pool? Not that great, particularly for mage and rogue. Other than Krastinov, Mozaki and Frostwhisper, it's mostly just mediocre neutrals and minions with battlecry. Faceless manipulator, Shadow Sculptor, Cloud Prince, Necrium Apocethary, BGH, Cobalt Spellkin... it's really not the best mana cost Hearthstone has to offer. 4 drops and 6 drops typically are much better on average for their cost.
Let's say for the sake of argument, though, that you get two *decent* 5-costs. One of them is going bye-bye. If your opponent has so much as two murlocs on board, you can say goodbye to whichever one you choose to shaft because he can just run into it, get rid of half your value and leave you with a murloc raider and a random 5-drop which quite probably wasn't even worth the investment.
Can somebody tell me the appeal of this card? I'm legitimately baffled.
Got stupid lucky with packs - 2 goldens, disciplinarian gandling and abbess alura. I know, I know, wait for the meta to settle, but I do kinda think that gandling is tier 3, if not 4, though Alura has some promise at least. I do really want other legendaries - polkelt primarily, maybe illusia, kel'thuzad, or sphere... possibly malicia or gidra... thoughts?
Also, side note - is archwitch willow really that bad? Unpacked her as well (non gold), feels like it would be good in big demonlock...

dude... this tavern brawl has been around since the very beginning... it's always been like this lol

So the new control warrior seems pretty good, especially considering the current meta.
