Macaw is busted, everyone should know it by now. Bliz needs to address this sooner than later. Also Arcane Canon and Pirates in general gives too much advantage to the player who atks 1st, poor design.
If you have triple golden anything, whether it is Parrot or not, you will probably win (provided we are talking about good, not crappy minions).
Btw. 2 Parrots with Illidan is a blast :D Always attack first and always with Parrots.
On a side note, I wonder why no one is complaining about Goldgrubber yet. I was playing Demons yesterday and my Goldgrubber in the end was bigger than my Wrath Weaver. The builds, which previously couldn't reach absurd amount of stats, due to not having a self-buffing minion, now have a generic one, which on top of that is always within a scope of offered minions, because Pirates have a boost. I expected people to complain about it tbh.
Naw, Golden tier 2s do NOT usually have the kind of swing that Macaw has, I challenge you to reply with of ANY golden card that's T4 or less that has the kind of power Macaw has. I mean we have to keep in mind that there's no use comparing a T2 golden to a T5 or T6 golden because it's way easier to get.
Which leads into the answer to your thought about grubber, it's a T4 minion so that alone is going to limit how good it's winrate is overall. Just like how Floating Watcher was too good at T3 but MUCH less powerful at T4. The speed of being able to get a growing minion online faster is huge, a lot of games you go for grubber and win or lose before it ever gets huge.
I think a simple nerf to Macaw would be to change its text to "after this minion attacks, if it survives damage, trigger a friendly deathrattle", makes it still viable in certain situations and not just an automatic inclusion
I agree Macaw needs a nerf but that proposed change was make it completely unplayable lol, surely there's a better option
What's interesting to me is, the guys on the reddit forum was saying pirates would be weaksauce and that nobody would play it when all the other techs were better. I felt like I was taking crazy pills, from my perspective the pirates spoiled looked pretty strong.
Call me crazy but I believe there should be a better counter play option to divine shield than Ghoul. Having a 1/3 minion that doesn't even have a tribal tag is enough to cause you to lose in and of itself. You can't go into the late game 1 minion short and expect that not to hurt. My proposal is introducing Blood Knight into BG. There ought to be a REAL way to punish players who throw all in on putting Divine Shield on everything.
Also, I don't subscribe to the idea that it's ok for Murlocs to be unstoppable late game because it's fragile in the early game. That is the definition of poor design and means the non-murloc individual is punished if other players allowed the murloc players to get big.
Rez priest is the only viable deck right now for this class. It's a different style of play, you don't like it that's your problem. Don't start asking Blizz to kill a class just because it annoys you. Back off, go and play your favorite class and shut up!
Well I mean as a Priest player I just wanted to say, rez is FAR from the only viable deck. In fact I would venture to say it's one of the weakest Priest builds there is, it's really only good vs Aggro and a underdog against almost anything else. I don't know why people play it in a non aggro meta... it's not good.
Yea I noticed a HUGE drop in DH. I did some DH test runs and what stood out is that Skull of Gul'dan is VERY clunky at 6 mana, also competing with Imprisoned Antaen. Trying to get them both online at 6-7 mana respectively is so slow compared to before. The other 2 nerfs are tame, but the ones I mentioned were pretty huge. Playing against DH feels a lot different. It's just the same as it was with Gala Shaman, surprisingly upping the mana of a couple of key cards made a pretty big difference.
I still feel like Priestess of Fury should be nerfed as well in the upcoming weeks, because it's too universally good. It's a powerhouse card that you run in any DH deck from now until it rotates without question, that's not good design. It's great against practically any board and it's even great against no board at all. Someone else nailed it when they said it's like Ragnaros but cheaper AND somehow better.
Ok but hear me out, Priest is really only losing cleric for card draw. It's not like their aren't other card draw in the game. If you really want to you could have tons of card draw.
... your joking right? A 7mana 6/8 untargetable taunt WITH LIFESTEAL, now that alone would be power house. But then add in that the player of the card can still target it. This is my absolute day 1 craft, just bonkers!

Might as well have no card text at all because that is basically what you're suggesting.

Fucking YES, I hated that card and from the sound of what I've been hearing so did everyone else. I hope it never comes back.

Oh is this what we're doing today? Going to war!?

What are my impressions so far?

Hmm I just don't see it. The effect isn't all that great to be paying 6 for a 6/3. I mean 3hp... that is really bad.

Yea but this card is already good even without buffs. It's big taunt, untargetable and has life steal. That's not bad.
