mana cheat is still the biggest offender in this game by far. Kripp told them 6 years ago that it would eventually ruin ranked mode and they didn't listen.
when i don't agree with the problem of the discover mechanic per se, i also think that the random card generation has gotten so excessive, that it turns games from an actual online 1v1 card game to single player mode.
but the devs are literally incapable of grasping the core issues of hearthstone ranked mode. and while they have given up on arena mode years ago, the keep putting ranked players in this hamster wheel of releasing broken untested cards and then nerf some cards and have the game playable until the next broken deck establishes 1 week later. this repeats until the game is semi-ok to play and two weeks from then, the mini set releases and we rinse and repeat until the next expansion gets on it's way.
mana cheat, random card generation and incompetent devs. the 3 pillars of failure in hearthstone
remember the times when we played around cards...? when we predicted plays of our opponents...?
2023 now it's just turn 2 create 4 random spells, turn 3 add 2 random spells FROM THE PAST to your hand turn 5 fill you hand with random spells and then just yeet everything in there.
i've played single player card games where decisions were more important than they are in this sh!t game
uff you haven't been around when Descent of Dragons was released... xD
on a more serious note, this game historically is terrible and not fun when shaman is good. and it almost never has anything to do with the shaman class itself, it's always because of other cards they're releasing.
dude stan-ing for somebody that does a bad job on a regular basis is not "pragmatic", it's just stupid.
remember the HysteriaWretched Tiller otk? the minute Hysteria got revealed the community screamed OTK. the devs were too stupid to listen.
but you're right, maybe the devs aren't just utterly incompetent, maybe they really wanna test how addicted their player base is. mini set for 70$ is already a big step in that direction.
i really implore people to uninstall this game and waste their time in a different way. hearthstone was good in until late 2017. then brode left and the game went to sh*t.
i've tried to come back to this game after the Genn and Baku decks, then Descent of Dragons happened. tried it again, Ashes of Outland happened. tried it again with sunken city, which was fun, suprisingly, then they went full casino-mode every deck just the next expansion and everything went down the toilet again.
so either these devs are dumb, or cruel. #uninstall
@Twitchy it takes 3 minutes after card reveal for the people that play the game, the community, to point out problems with cards. the devs just don't listen. ever.
therefore "no competence" is absolutely correct. don't know why you're trying to grand stand for bad developers here
after my opponent played Goldshire Gnoll on turn 4, evolved it into Thaddius, Monstrosity and coined out a 1 mana Glugg the Gulper, i just want to remind everybody that this game blows, it sucks, it is BAD and the devs literally don't know what they are doing.
hearthstone will never be like it once was. never. just uninstall and play another game like this is just ridiculous. yes i'm mad. and games should be fun.
i've played hearthstone since beta. it peaked at Journey to Un'Goro and then got worse with every expansion.
the game is a terrible sh*t show. gone are the days of actually outplaying your opponent. it turned from a good card game to an RNG single player mode and if you disagree, you either don't know the good hearthstone or you're lying to yourself.
Yeah and with your last sentence you say nothing but: I am right and everyone who disagrees is stupid. Game is better then ever, more complex and more fun. Ig you don’t agree you have no clue… so whom of us has no clue now?
btw ungoro was far away from peak hs.
nah, i'm saying if you think hearthstone was always like it is today, you have missed the peak of hearthstone. if you're still playing and think it's better now than it was then.... well then i disagree with you.
you know, there is a reason why the most popular players have left hearthstone or play battlegrounds exclusively.
un'goro was peak hearthstone and knights of the frozen throne was the beginning of the end. go check reddit. old gods and un'goro are are widely regarded as the best 2 expansions ever.
but you do you.
Disagreeing is fine, I did play all the expansions you mentioned. And I still think the game is way more fun today then back there. And I do not care what a minority or even majority on Reddit thinks. I personally like the game more nowadays. KoFT was not the beginning of the end, in my opinion it was the beginning of the fun times
seems like we just like other types of games. i loved the strategy aspect of old hearthstone. having to make crucial decisions to win a game was fun to me. i just really hate the casino single player mode ranked has become.
don't get me wrong, i loved the design of KoFT. but the hero cards were way too powerful and they single handedly ruined arena.
i had high hopes with Sunken City, that the game would get good again. but the latest release just burried hearthstone completely for me

there is no way this gets released like this. do the devs know that Brann Bronzebeard exists?
