aaand what would you achive with that cost increase? 7 mana 4/4+12/12 in exchange 6 mana 4/4+12/12? Do you think people would stop using it?
I see two easy nerf options: Change text to: 1.Reaveal a spell from your deck with cost 7 or lower... or 2.print more minions with cost 8-10 with low stats.
Right now Spiteful Summoner it´s OP but it will nerf herself with the release of future expantions, the card pool will increse with probably crappy stats and strong battlecry 10 mana minions...
What i think, Infinite combos or cycling degenerate the game. Jade idol, Rin, OTK ... I know you can silence Rin, but with Dark Pact in the game its berely possible. 4 Hadronox also feels like something that can brake the game. But those cards itself are not always a problem. Its just the little pieces here and little pieces there. Cube, Dark pact, Rin, Shudderwock that can be played more than once, 4 doomguards without any discard... thats the problem. I also think that if you erase those decks from meta, aggro decks will be less popular. Losing against cube locks feels like they cheated and losing against combo feels helpess without tool to defend.
I get it, game needs to evolve. But testers should do a better job discovering those interactions that feels wrong.
And maybe, its all just an infinite argue between players who want to enjoy the game, watch their tribal decks and maybe laddering sometimes and those, who just minmax every single deck, depending on percentage winrates and counters. There should be two hearthstones for those two types of players. (jk) :D
There are 2 hearthstones Casual and Ranked, also Standard and Wild If you want to play just for fun (Without the competitive side), there is Casual match, Adventures, Tavern brawl, etc... Going into ranked is accepting that you will face players that are hungry for winning, and sometimes facing that kind of players is not fun, but that´s part of ranked games, because let´s remenber that Higher ranks = Earning points = Invitation to official tournaments = Money Prize.
I know it´s not fun to play against decks that makes you feel helpless as an opponent, but lets face that in ranked, people want to win and that will lead them to create decks that sometimes will beat you in a psycological way (Which is a HUGE part of this game).

I think they´re trying to turn elemental mage into Spiteful Mage, using few spells and more minions.
