Does Runic Carvings trigger it? That's another card that HAS an Overload component, but it's a choice and not a default aspect of the card. Which, if that's how they've programmed it, seems a bit silly. Why not just have it be "When you Overload" or something.
It helps to clarify the difference between something like The Amazing Reno - where your side of the board can do something that causes you to overload, but it doesn't trigger effects for Unbound.
The can nerf Paladins, but it seems to me they can't stop them. I mean, Paladin has so many strong cards, it's not like when they nerfed Galakrdond Shaman to the ground. Pally can win with secrets, without secrets, don't even need the weapon.
Conjure Mana Biscuit --> refreshes 1 mana instead of 2
Incanter's Flow --> can't reduce spell cost below 1 mana
Flamewaker --> targets minions only
Refreshing Spring Water --> refreshes 1 mana per spell drawn instead of 2
Mozaki, Master Duelist --> flat spell damage +2
Your IF prediction is similar to other nerfs/changes in the past, so of all the predicted changes to this card, this one seems most plausible. I think Dean Ayala said they're not really interested in balancing for Wild, so I doubt they're going to touch Flamewaker. Your predicted change to IF would probably have a consequential effect on Mozaki, which would mean it wouldn't need to also be nerfed.
I don't really see everyone's beef with Incanter's Flow. If they had made it an Epic card instead of a Common would everyone still be so pissy about it? It's a powerful card and the game needs to have a mix of more powerful and less powerful cards.
Tick is unfun to play against, but I don't think it's a particularly devastating card. There's an argument to be made that Heathstone is getting to be too Rock/Paper/Scissors - in that Tick is a devastating counter-control card, so if you're playing a control deck and you're against a Warlock, chances are you're going to lose if you can't pressure them fast enough. But I think that's the style of game that Blizzard is creating.
I played 2 games against tower decks and absolutely crushed both of them. Once playing spell priest and once playing rush warrior. I found them to be annoying, but not particularly overpowered. Which - is kind of nice in a way. It felt more like a puzzle that I had to figure out rather than two players trying to execute their individual game plan independently.
Yeah Kobold Stickyfiner just ruins shaman, because they can’t even reload off the 4/2 pirate (I forget what it’s called). People just need to learn how to tech for the meta and stop whining about every powerful deck.
I think it's bad, but not the worst. I feel like Brann+Megasaur+Murlocs was still much more annoying, because once someone had that comp you basically just had to concede.
I agree with a lot of the statements in this thread, too many heroes are trash tier and Elementals are probably too powerful.
Honestly though, I think my bigger issue is with the new ranking system. I'm only at 4k MMR, but every game I get +300 rank, whether I'm 1st or 4th. Maybe this will change as I continue to climb, but wtf? That totally ruins the feeling dueling it out to try and get 1st place.
Lastly - does anyone else have issues with the Elemental buff animations? They seem craaaazy long. Wondering if this is on purpose so that you can't absolutely run away with the game, but for a tribe that wants to play lots of minions per turn, it's really annoying.
GUYS, it’s not 3 mana draw 3, it’s 3 mana draw 2 OR 1. No other combo card works the way you guys are invisioning. Cold Blood doesn’t give +6, Eviscerate doesn’t deal 6 damage. I can’t believe there are so many noobs on this forum who don’t know how basic mechanics of HS work.
It is 3 mana draw 2 pirates or 2 pirates and a weapon, so 2 or 3. You should read the card text before but you call everyone on this forum a noob.
No it doesn’t! It doesn’t say “And draw a weapon.” It says Combo: Draw a Weapon. Therefore if you combo it, you ONLY get the combo effect. I stand by what I said. Y’all are noobs.

I'm assuming having the coin as an extra spell is enough of a benefit to overcome the deficit of going second.

Wanted the handclap emoji, but ! will have to suffice.

One of its "few" counters? You mean the class with an avg 45.8 win rate?

Crabrider and Conviction are probably good bets.
They're not gonna touch new Alex

Me too - it might never see play but that card art is 10/10!

You’re reading it wrong.
1) It would be 9 mana
2) the two replacement minions are random
7
that would make it unbelievably OP
