Lol, based on the posts in this thread, it's like people don't know how to earn and save gold. I'll break down what I do and I'm casual F2P.
For the first month of the expansion, I use all gold earned and spend them on packs, so that's about 100 gold every two days or about 3 packs a week minimum (4 on some weeks), so anywhere about 12 - 14 packs the first month. I then save all gold earned except for at least one arena run a week. Depending on my performance I get at least 4 packs a month and by the time the next expansion rolls around I have about at least 5000 gold for the new expansion packs. So for each expansion, without any giveaways I can get about 75 packs which, with dust, is sufficient to stay relevant and play fun decks. Anything additional to that is just extra.

Execute costs 2 mana for me...
EDIT: However, FWA costs 2. Looks like Blizz has done fucked it up

This should be a normal mode, people have been begging for a mode like that for years. It actually provokes some deckbuilding thoughts.

Seriously? Boomsday packs? I was so happy to get 4 rastakhan packs and suddenly... boomsday cards? Screw you blizz.

He's much stronger than he used to, he also goes face 90% of the time...

Yeah, and I sure as fuck don't miss them.

Should've done something about standard druid, but other than that, great changes. I love the mana wyrm nerf, I fucking hate that card. I wish they'd buff the stats on giggling, because it seems to me the card will be dead at 7 mana, but maybe it won't and will be used as a control tool, instead of another aggro/quest rogue card.

Have you played during TGT? Boomsday is miles better, I'm actually kinda enjoying the game right now. There's a lot of uncool stuff, but there are many, MANY viable ladder decks at the moment. It's been really cool!

My first double legendary in my 4.5 year journey with hearthstone; also, I got 7 legendaries in 45 packs which is just insaaaaneeeee.

The most hilarious thing about it is the fact that they've always held off balance patches because of the tournaments, and now they randomly release a patch that straight up decimates one deck, and they don't allow the competitors to change their line-up. Good job, Blizzard!!
