These claims are all totally unsupported by any evidence at all beyond the anecdotal which makes it all basically a giant waste of time. Hsreplay probably has a way to track how often cards are drawn, in their giant datasets I'm sure they could see if draw rates weren't level. But short of them reporting it, or you going to their data and presenting some actual evidence, you might as well be suggesting Brode left to collaborate with Tupac and Elvis, it's just meaningless speculation
I don't think any of these claims are true, but sure, they might be, I could very well be wrong. But I like to consider myself a rational adult and so need evidence to shape my views, so, here we are
Kripp, Kibler, Firebat and Zalae have all been mentioned already and I really like all their stuff, but also Savjz is great imo, plays fun decks, very chill, and often explains his plays
It sure seems suffocating to me, but I'm just an average HS pleb, what do I really know about the game compared to the pros? It's definitely killing a buzz a little for Witchwood though, 4 of every 5 cards they release I look at and all I can see is 'this can't get through Voidlords so is unplayable, feelsbadman'
'I am a Statistician by trade, with over 15 years of experience crunching p-values and t-tests. So I decided to run a statistics experiment to test my theory.'
I am a Doctor by trade, with over 15 years of experience curing colds and using band aids. So I decided to run a Medicine Experiment to test my theory because yes, I definitely am very much a real doctor
Screenshots? Deck tracker? Sampling error? Z scores, null hypotheses, alpha level, significance test output, etc? 15 years experience lol
Lakkari sacrifice, but I'd crafted gul'dan already, and had zavas and golden lana'thel from packs already, so I felt it was justified (sort of).
Besides that, princess huhurran. It's...not terrible! I mean, any deck that uses it is worse than standard mid-range hunter, but the card itself is sort of OKish maybe!
When I watch Firebat, Kolento, Amnesiac, Pavel or Zalae play ranked/tournaments, or Kripp or Hafu play arena, it's painfully obvious that they are way more skilled than me. If I played any of them in a large sample of games, they would wipe the floor with me, and apparently unlike a lot of the posers in this thread I'm not too self-absorbed to admit it.
To me, that just opens and closes the question of 'does skill exist'. Clearly it does, because there are players who are visibly better than others, so, like, ipso facto. The unspoken implication of all these arguments in this thread is 'I'm as good as anyone else playing Hearthstone', which I find pretty overwhelmingly arrogant. If there's no skill in this game, go beat any of these players a bunch of times and win some tournaments, then come back and tell us about it
I agree that Potion of Madness maybe needs to be in there, and I'd argue Dragonfire Potion as well - I have neither Cairne nor Velen but have all the rest (going to craft Lich King and Anduin probably). I'll probably try something very similar but without those two legendaries and Holy Fire, replaced with PoM, Dragonfire and PW Shield. Silence might also be good, I might try Kabal Songstealer instead of Devour Mind.
I love this style of deck and enjoyed Kazakus priest in UG already, have high hopes for it in Frozen Throne, thanks for the list - if only I didn't have to wait until tomorrow due to other commitments to open my packs and get into it...
Not getting tilted by RNG/bad beats or a losing streak.
Someone mentioned it above but for me, knowing when to play around things and when not to play around things is something I find most challenging. Related to that, knowing when to play for tempo or value (often it's easy to choose, but sometimes I find it hard eg in mid-range or control vs control games). Both of those are about making subtle adaptations to the way you play based on your opponent and the game state.
These things are what I'm currently trying to work on, but it's a struggle tbh (I consider myself a mediocre/average/intermediate player). Watching people like kibler and firebat play shows me what I lack, but trying to put it into play I find hard.
Also I think tracking opponent's hands/cards is definitely the domain of good/pro players. I can sometimes barely decide the right play on my side, let alone also tracking my opponent's hand in detail. It's another thing I can see pros do that I can't get near to

this is true. his voice is funny, there's no getting around it.
potentially when he was being sown together, the throat/vocal cords they sourced were ripped from some equally endearing creature
14
potentially because he's a horrifying monstrosity sewn from the flesh of numerous corpses and has eyes in his shoulders?

They're all good cards Floff

Interesting if true

I'm just a poor crab

Nerubian + Devilsaur Eggs, Ravenous Pterrodax, this, Sunfury/Defender, Twilight Summoner, Sludge Belcher, board clears and N'Zoth (maybe even Spiritsinger Umbra?) might be an interesting Wild deck!

I watch YouTube content way more than actual streams - go-to's are Kripp, Kibler, Firebat, Savjz, Toast
