posted a message on Tips to all those crying about token druid OP

    Tip from a non-legend player:

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Token Druid is fairly cheap. Play it. Win.

posted a message on Should Dr. Boom Mad Genius get Hofed?

Yes. HOF Boom and Hagatha ASAP. Any single card that has no counter and completely alters the base game-state from that point forward should not exist, unless there is some serious risk/penalty involved (like Jaraxxus's health cap). That's why Baku and Genn are gone. It was a mistake to print more heros after the DK. Zuljin is not so bad, because the only change is that hero power can target minions—it's really more like a really strong 10-mana spell. But the value gained from Boom and Hagatha after they're played is too good and allows players to start the game with one kind of deck and then switch mid game, which basically reduces games to whether the single card is drawn or not, and removes difficult choices in deck design.

posted a message on Too long.

    The OP is crazy.

But... I would love, just once, for a set to be released with NO reveal. I know they'll never do this, because they think the reveal boosts preorders (maybe it does, I'm not convinced). I just love the idea of opening packs and seeing cards for the first time, not having weeks for people to scheme new decks, but having just complete chaos as people go blind into day 1.

posted a message on Are Casual opponents the same Rank in Standard?

Matchmaking in Casual mode is determined by each player's Casual matchmaking rating (MMR), aiming to match the player against an opponent of comparable skill, with wins and losses affecting future opponent selection.[3] Casual MMRs are never reset, but are designed to change quickly in response to win and lose streaks.[4][5] Casual uses a single MMR, shared between Wild and Standard format.[1]

In Casual mode, new players are initially placed in a separate pool, allowing them to play exclusively against other new players. After a certain period, players are introduced into the main matchmaking pool.[6] According to Ben Brode, as of April 2016 players remain in the new player pool until they have played 10 games, or have obtained 2 legendary cards.[7] However, this is something that the developers tweak regularly.[8] The new player pool only exists for Casual Play.[7]

Even beyond the new player pool, Casual is the recommended mode for newer players.[2]

posted a message on New neutral Minion - Hench-Clan Hag

This will be played in a lot of decks just because of the value. At least from what we've seen this expansion is toning down power levels a bit, so while a card like Grim Necromancer may not have been good enough to make the cut previously, this slightly better version in this lower-powered meta should be pretty good

posted a message on New Priest Spell - Mass Resurrection

This card perfectly fits Blizzard's new direction, which is keeping/bringing back old mechanics and play styles but in a more balanced way. I think this card is appropriately costed and powered as opposed to the spellstone which was too cheap and too powerful. Resurrect priest should be playable but not oppressive. I think its fine.

posted a message on New Card - Jepetto Joybuzz

This is what Barnes should of been, i.e., a meme card that isn't stupid broken. People will find a way to have fun with this, but it's too costly to enable Barnes-like shenanigans.
