So they generate cards into your opponents hand? I wonder if this can be utilized for some sort of overdraw mill type architype.

Battlegrounds is currently the most popular game mode in Hearthstone so it makes sense from a business perspective to try and maximum the profitability of this game mode, especially since the core gameplay is free to play.  But also marketing/revenue development is a different department from design and gameplay. Cosmetics don't take focus away from development of the game.

I do agree with you on wishing the basic game was more engaging and fulfilling and I really hope the amount of RNG gets toned down in the future.

Bots have been in the game since the very beginning, however they have really ramped up with the inclusion of the rewards track and the honor system. Since rewards exp is higher the longer a game goes and honor is rewarded for a loss, bots don't care if they win or lose.

Snowfall guardian is one of the best tools I have been using in wild to help beat pirate warrior. Good to see my counter tool gets a sizeable nerf while quest warrior gets a slap on the wrist.

I was testing out my adaptation of freeze shaman for wild yesterday and over the course of 30 different games I didn't play a single pirate warrior or quest hunter. I was extremely confused the entire time as usually 2/3 games are one of these two decks. But after playing all day yesterday I felt the game was engaging again. Not playing decks that kill you by turn 5 really livens up the game in many ways. This makes me feel that these overly optimized quest/aggro decks really need a strong nerf bat. The game is much more enjoyable when midrange strategies can actually be utilized.

The same bug with collecting all cards in the set occurred with Flightmaster Dungar. I wonder why these pre release cards are being omitted from the collection tracker. But hopefully third time is a charm going forward!

Why not add the cardback to the in game collection? There are other out of context cardbacks available, and having a good boy cardback would be great!

All quest warrior and hunters in wild today. After about 30 games give or take, there was around 4 games that involved people trying out new cards/decks. I really hope these quests get toned down. Completing your quests by turn 5 while half way killing your opponent in the processes isn't engaging any.

This past year has definitely been the year of monetization for Hearthstone. We went from a trickle of cosmetic options to an all out flood. And the addition of Mercenaries makes it even more compounded if you choose to try and stay current on everything. I kinda wish Mercenaries was released as its own thing, maybe as a mobile game. It feels too cluttered in the Hearthstone client now.

Apart from Crystallizer, what do you tend to mulligan for vs certain classes? Do you tend to keep Backfire and Soularium for card draw? Cheers.
