    Quote from Battousai_HS >>

I agree with the suggestion someone floated that Fatigue damage shouldn't be passed to the other player as a result of the Warlock Quest.  Before fatigue?  Fair game.  But after is just too damn much.  Far too strong of a reward for cycling through your deck when being out-of-cards should be considered a penalty (and is for every other class).

    Example:
Warlock draws their last card - deck is now empty.  They play a Backfire for 6 damage in fatigue (1, 2, 3-dmg respectively for each card).  Then hero power for another 4-dmg, plus whatever they have left to play / minions to attack on board.

Obviously it doesn't happen all the time, and to be perfectly honest, I think Warlock is pretty overrated and killable with one of the many aggro decks in the meta.  Hell, even my Quest Hunter has an easy time with them as long as I don't draw like absolute dogs***.

This would kill the deck, removing fatigue damage would severely nerf a deck that's only pretty strong right now. The unique style of drawing your deck as fast as possible and damage yourself makes it worth preserving. There really isn't much that could be done without killing the deck really, maybe and I mean maybe flesh giant to 10 could bring player perception back in line but the deck isn't exceptional strong even for tournament play tons of other decks see play too.

posted a message on Anyone miss control decks?

The game is designed for and not focused on slower decks. Agro decks are harder to pilot period and control decks loaded with removal and draw are too easy long for the style of mobile / pc hybrid game for hearthstone.

You need a win condition in your deck, I remember Pizza saying this on stream. People have this vision of hitting 10 mana and playing big cards but you need a win condition you can't expect to just not lose they need a plan to win.

It doesn't need to be nerfed it's really not that strong. We don't even have blizzard's data publicly so there's no way to know the win rates currently, face hunter could be the top deck now or a priest deck we aren't aware of.

As far as nerfs go we just had a round of them I don't understand the rush for even MORE changes.

Blizz probably wants to keep the new cards competitive for the expansion anyways so there's no way to nerf the warlock quest, stealer of souls or zoo in general.

Buffing other classes and cards doesn't solve the problem, these are indirect nerfs which reduce the viability of warlock too, if every other class gets buffed that is a nerf to warlock.

posted a message on worst expansion launch ever

I'd argue this expansion is actually phenominal and fun with card power level actually reasonable. Aggro decks and fast combo games have fewer turns and thus each decision matters more. Couple this with apm intense turns and the skill to execute the combos is higher than it's ever been (maybe to grim patron levels in the case of rogue or warlock).

Blizzard doesn't anticipate decks or print cards to fix specific decks, combos like the spell damage ally minion on auctioneer were clever work arounds players figured out to make the rogue deck as explosive as it is.

Because it's a bad play on curve and by the time they play it they already corrupted it. Some people in desperation do play tickatus on turn 6 and it might work out. This is assuming they are running a bad card in their deck anyways.

Occasionally yes you'll hit your good cards but you mill out the trash and bad draws improving your draws on average. Ask any pro if they could run a 25 card deck and they'd say yes in a heart beat. Remember Prince malcazar, it added cards to your deck making it utter trash.

    Go ahead, change my mind.

     No... I don't think I will.

You're right. The dialogue here should be, "how do we beat this?" not "I can't win against this, so it's impossible".

Sometimes a complaint is warranted and if a specific card or deck is being used way too much, then obviously something is wrong, but this meta feels fine.

Just because a deck is popular doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed. The counter might just not be discovered yet or people haven't tried to find new strategies, its punishing the player base for playing a popular deck. There are no specific cards that need nerfing the game is fine as is. There are no warranted complaints here.

I can somewhat tell if something is OP or not by watching streamers play. I don't call cards OP because I'm salty and I acknowledge playing OP cards as well myself.

There are no OP cards though, a few bad cards yes but none of the current cards stand out is particularly strong. These are all negative QQ threads that this post is pointing out. Street fighter 2 and star craft don't need patches, people know how to make adjustments and adapt to the game to win without the need for patches. This game doesn't need arbitrary patches either. It's bad enough the paladin sword and deck of lunacy got nerfed merely weeks out of the gate. People have a learn to play issue and a complaining issue currently in this game.

The discussion of paladin having the best drops in standard was already in progress though. No point in making a rethread even if its slightly out of date

You have only been here sice yesterday and with this post you have already made a total fool of yourself. Congratulations on that.

I apologize but the discussion on hand is about paladin drops in standard which they are definitely good right now with librams, sword of the fallen and crab rider.

You are being toxic and negative currently. Just wanting someone to use an existing thread if it already exists to reduce clutter. Hopefully nothing personal stranger. Don't mean to personally attack you but I feel personally attacked with the fool comment.

posted a message on Tickatus need a change

Tickatus is a bad card. Removing cards from your opponents deck is a down side for you because smaller decks are better. a 6 mana 8/8 with a down side isn't a good card. If tickatus was a 5 mana 8/8 with taunt it might see competitive play but it certainly doesn't need a nerf. Hoping this card becomes part of next years core set just so people realize how weak it actually is seeing 0 play.

Also this is a duplicate thread, this should be deleted and reposted into that thread.

    Quote from Kinkyjohnfowler >>

Duplicate threads (like Tick threads) and threads with no content other than salt being deleted seems fair (and from what I’ve seen the mods do a good job of this), but deleting threads because they are critical of the game seems a bit silly.

If you want to discuss strategies then r/CompetitiveHS is probably a better option.

Duplicate threads and complaint threads are a crisis for the site atm, stamping them out should be a priority. Its not criticism but complaining that needs to go, negativity and complaining are on the rise so remoting negative threads is of the utmost importance to keep the community form devolving into a toxic echo chamber. There's nothing silly about it

    Quote from P4dge >>

I find income here less and less to be honest. I like the layout of the site and it's a good place to get info and uodates because I'm not a social media user at all, mainly for the same reasons I visit here less. As time goes on, people are becoming more and more toxic and entitled. It's an incredibly negative atmosphere and it's only getting worse. Out of cards is significantly better, from a community stand point, but I'm not a huge fan of the layout.

The thing that disappoints me is people have such high bars for others and such low bars for themselves. No mistakes are acceptable, everything has to be met with anger and personal insults.

I'm not wanting to suppress expression what so ever but far more work can be done to close duplicate threads and threads that honestly belong in the salt thread. The salt thread seems to have a stigma to it and people get offended when you suggest posting there but it's there for a reason. Have a rant, swear, piss, moan, kick off, do it all, without judgement. Creating new threads just to say you don't like mage is unnecessary attention seeking and this site does seem to let that slide quite a bit. What happens though is these people are far more aggressive in their posting and it takes over the general mood of the site.

People also seem to have severe difficulty with a 2 way conversation, they don't want a conversation at all, they want an echo chamber of bitching to make them feel better for their own failings. Just locking duplicate threads and moving certain threads to the salt post would be a significant improvement and wouldn't infringe on people's ability to say their piece or have a moan. Before anyone says it, free speech is not a thing in this sense, free speech ensures you can speak out without reourcussion or punishment, usually from a government. This is often confused with "I can say what I like when I like and to whom I like". No, that's just not correct at all and isn't what free speech is to protect.

Pretty much this but you aren't suppressing expression by removing threads and banning topics. This private forum and it's community post is expressing its free speech choosing not to platform or post content that goes against the values of a non toxic community bent on negativity. and yes words need consequences that doesn't mean it's not free speech, you just wouldn't be arrested for what you say.  There is no obligation to platform what the toxic portion of this community says. There is no need to create new threads the blow of steam salt thread should encompass any mage discussion assuming it isn't negative. There doesn't need to be another ten thousandth mage complaint thread.

Ticktakus - 5 mana 8/8 without corruption, just remove 5 cards from your oponent deck

Sorry but I stopped reading there. If you don't realise that already a 5 mana 8/8 is ridiculous plus the OP battlecry on top, I don't think this is worth any further mentioning

Milling your opponents deck is a down side for YOU playing tickatus since the less cards in your deck, the better your deck is. If anything a 5 mana 8/8 milling your opponents library for 5 is a moderate price to pay. Maybe if it also had taunt it'd be playable but as it stands its a 6 mana 8/8 with a down side.
