Just one of the reasons that demon hunter was a mistake, the flavour is terrible. Either it's too samey, too similar to warlock flavour, or genuinely doesn't seem like a demon hunter card.

This new rewards system has been mathematically proven to be a huge failure, not even factoring in the fact that on rank 48 you get year of the dragon cards right when they're about to rotate out of standard and that your big reward for spending hundreds of dollars and hours worth of grinding to collect all the cards is a picture of a coin, but the only people talking about it here are going on about how actually it's really good and cool that you have to put in over a hundred dollars three times a year in exchange for basically nothing and actually we deserve even less.

I remember back in the day whenever blizz got literally anything wrong, even something legitimately not their fault like technical difficulties during reveal streams, people would tear them apart. When's the last time you heard anyone call team 5 a "small indie studio" as a joke? Now I see people unironically saying that actually we should be overcharged and nickled and dimed for every single card we get because "the people who make the game need to make a living to", as if any of that is going to anyone who actually works on Hearthstone and isn't lining the pockets of the grossly overpaid executives coasting on the rotting corpse of the gaming giant they ran into the ground.

Whales, bootlickers, and anyone other miscellaneous barnyard animals looking to simp for millionaires and billionaires who make their fortune off of targeting a game designed to give people gambling addictions at children can feel free to leave their entirely worthless and frankly disgusting comments below where they will be immediately discarded like the trash they are, but does anyone actually human feel this way too? It feels like the game is just being ground into the dirt, between the rewards system, single player content being phased out and replaced with book of heroes, duels being released so that standard players have to massacre their collections to get viable wild cards they'll only end up playing in duels, this doesn't feel anywhere near the same as the game last year where out of the blue we got a huge, meta-shifting patch where several cards from Boomsday got buffed in the middle of a completely different expansion and everyone who was playing got a completely free golden legendary that wasn't only playable, it was legitimately so good as to be an auto-include in a bunch of decks.

I don't know. Maybe it just feels like everyone smart enough to be critical of blizzard is smart enough to move on to another game. All I know is that I miss the way things were last year, when we were given so much and our money was valued.

posted a message on [Math] Old VS New Reward System [UPDATED]

This is like the one scientific study that shows that vaccines are actually harmful against the five million that say they're alright. This community is so bad. I hope the game collapses so whales lose all their shiny pixels they spent hundreds of dollars on and hours writing essays about how it's actually really good that they're expensive.

It's not alright. That's terrible. That's almost as many packs as the mega preorder bundle and you only got 7 legendaries, most of which are probably garbage. You really think it's okay to get that few out of that many packs?

It's probably the weakest theme I've ever seen for a card cycle. Doesn't help that the card itself is a flavour nightmare.

Same shit whenever expansion cards are revealed. Have you not learned anything from Glide, Platebreaker, Mojomaster Jihi, and all other crap?

When paladin play a 11/11 for 2 manas or rogue give you 20 damage before turn 6 with steath package or druid can play 40 manas spells in turn 6 cards like Glide is really bad.

If the game become more combo/control then a card like Glide is a top tier, call Glide crap is the same call Harrison/Ooze crap because a weaponless meta.

This exactly. Warlock has been pretty bad for the past few sets so unless they have an actual win condition (and no, it's not playing mill with Tickatus and Felosophy and then playing new Y'shaarj to play the upgraded Tickatuses) and since Tickatus's effect hurts slow decks and the meta is fast, you won't actually have to worry about this card unless you're playing some weird control deck where you guarantee to draw out almost all your deck most games, in which case you probably have bigger problems.

posted a message on Is this too early to have concerns about shaman?

No. Shaman has been bad for the last four sets, and the first cards we see for it this time around are a flavour nightmare with weapon synergy, a legendary 0/4 to support a deck type nobody is playing, a murloc (lmfao) and the token bad class's token good boardclear. Unless the other legendary is on par with Galakrond or Shudderwock, i.e, one of the most powerful legendaries in the history of the game, shaman will still be bad.

But that's not the meta we're getting. None of the classes that are getting control cards printed are classes that have good cards this rotation. The meta isn't going to slow down. It's tempo demon hunter and pure paladin forever. The current version of highlander hunter doesn't even run cards this expensive, it just runs polkelt to pull brann and then everything else is 4 mana or less.

posted a message on Some of you don't deserve what you think you deserve

God this is sad. The state of this community these days is pathetic. Remember in Rise of Shadows, when, out of the blue, blizz just updated the game, completely unprompted, buffing a bunch of old cards from Boomsday and adding in a FREE legendary for everyone? Not like Sathrovarr either, a free GOOD legendary, that fit into tons of decks. Yeah, I guess we just don't deserve that. We're all just simpering little piggies. We don't deserve to play good games unless we're willing to pay a hundred dollars for them every few months.

I don't think I've ever seen a community whipped this bad. I guess everyone who can't afford such expensive opinions moved onto games they "deserve". What other community pays as much as people pay to play this game "competitively" and complains that people don't want to pay more? They should introduce a premium version of this game where I can pay even more to show those disgusting, sniveling, poor piles of crap how much less they deserve than me. We're in the middle of a pandemic that lost people their jobs, the global economy is in worse shape than ever, and blizz is hunkering down, making even less actual free to play content than they ever have, but no, the real problem is the poor little piggies who can't shell out as much money as you do.

I have plenty of games I can be competitive in. The most I've "sacrificed" for it is 60 dollars. Lots of people can't even afford to "sacrifice" that much. Maybe when you complain about people not wanting to get scammed a hundred dollars a set for a game marketed towards children and designed to exploit people with gambling addictions, think about whether you actually "deserve" what you have, and no, I'm not just talking about your premium sparkly pixels.

    Quote from CakeEater >>

All of what follows is my own opinion:

So, I've been around Hearthstone since the beginning, and one thing that's never changed is that any time something costs money, the floodgates open, and a deluge of complaints descend upon every hearthstone forum in existence.   I have never understood the juxtapositioning of "I don't want to spend money" with "I want to be competitive."  These two philosophies simply do not go together.

This is also true in other forms of competition.   If you play tennis, for example, hard work and practice will get you most of the way there, but players who spend on the best rackets, the best shoes, and the best coaching will have a significant advantage over those who do not.   My personal belief is that what SOME of these perennial complainers really mean is "I don't want to spend money, but I DESERVE to be competitive."  This way of thinking belongs in the trash can with other phrases of the entitled such as "I don't want to study, but deserve an A+" and "I don't want to work, but deserve to be wealthy."

You are NOT entitled to free gaming, and if that's what you desire, there are plenty of games where you can do just that (including some of the game modes of Hearthstone, by the way) not to mention that there are legitimate players who grind daily and DO NOT spend money, but instead sacrifice their time, in order to get what they need to stay competitive.

So, in conclusion, if you don't want to put in the time OR the money, then what are you even complaining about?

TL/DR:  You can't be competitive without sacrifice, so if you aren't sacrificing anything, stop complaining about it being unfair.

Whale spotted. Shouldn't you be playing duels instead of talking to us poor people?

A good board clear. Let me just look into the future and see- oh, yep. Warlock doesn't get given a serious win condition this expansion, people try and play milllock with Felosophy and Tickatus as a meme, winrate stays at 44%.

I'm not directly insulting you, you're just insecure about your card game opinions, lmfao. If you play this, you will lose games, and if you craft this, you will waste dust. Facts. Come talk to me two weeks after the expansion comes out and everyone is still playing the same decks they were playing this set with a few new cards added in and warlock is still 44% winrate.

If you play a 10 mana 10/10 to get you one 8/8 and lose your opponent 5 cards, you've already lost on tempo. The two biggest decks in the game right now are tempo, and the third biggest is face. None of the classes that are getting control tools are anywhere above 49% winrate and the new cards they're getting are terrible. If you play this, you're going to be playing this against tempo demon hunter and pure paladin, and they'll kill you before you even get to turn 10.

Great. Cool designs. Good expansion. No one is playing murloc shaman now, and if people start playing murloc shaman in the future, it will not be so they can trade their board for random legendaries. Random legendaries are, have been, and always will be terrible. For every King Krush you get, you get 5 trash ones, and the fact that the new legendaries are mostly trash as well doesn't help your odds.
