VvTomBradyvV posted a message on Mindrender IlluciaPosted in: Mindrender IlluciaSo there’s a way to, if you draw your entire deck however fast, and then play Chef Nomi, Shadow Word: Death on a 6/6, a coin, and then this card, you just win. You have 38 dmg and they have no hand and no deck. It would just depend on what they had on board when you played it all.
If you play some heavy form of quest priest, super control, and you have that card that gives you a coin if you have a quest, then you could theoretically pull this off every game.
Im not saying it’s a good deck at all, just that if the meta somehow goes to heavy control, then just draw as many cards as you can and then play the combo

EyeCantSee posted a message on Edward "Gallon" Goodwin Is Joining Team 5, Cora Returning To The Initial Design TeamPosted in: NewsHiring people that play the game competitively is really cool because many people doubt that Blizzard has any idea on how to balance this game (as can be seen from the reviews from basically every expansion on other sites as well), and surely a competitive player knows when a card is too broken, right?
Jokes aside, what's the difference between Final Design and Initial Design? Seems strange to me that there'd be two separate teams that work on design but at separate stages. That said, I don't have experience in design of any sort, so maybe that's perfectly normal and I don't understand it.

"WILD CASUAL" I can't believe you talk about meta and put a casual wild as an example, play ladder for a month and tell me what you encounter, spoiler alert Quest mage and Hyper-aggro. Non-mill rogues will play that against an aggro deck or Quest mage because they will lose 100% of times so they go to Casual as Res priest does because their decks are not competitive enough to handle the meta.
oParis is indeed perfectly right about his statement, a priest can handle most things but "handle" doesn't mean he wins, means he has a 50%-60% chance to win, in the other hand Quest Mage is a 100% lose and that's the purpose of Mindrender Illucia.

Finally, the priest can win against Quest mage somehow, maybe not often but still isn't concede and queue for next. And nice options against Mecha'thun and Togg waggle.
