This deck slaps. Can't even think of a way to improve it. What are some cards that you have considered along the way? I was looking at Venomous Scorpid for a long time.
Thank you! I've spent hours tweaking it, and had a little help on here as well. Hunter feels incredibly limited this expansion, so this was a tough but rewarding build.
Your comment made me think about Trampling Rhino more. I realized how much better it is as a standalone card compared to Lake Thresher and Moonfang, which required set up or needed an extra turn to attack. Some value on Guardian Animals is wasted, but the safety beats out the greed imo. I agree that your Deadly Shot is a must right now with so many paladins running around. Libram of Hope absolutely crushes this deck otherwise.
The Showstopper idea is really interesting. Let me know how that goes! I changed the list today to include Barak Kodobane and Kazakus, Golem Shaper. The Crossroads Watch Post would pop off occasionally, but I now feel it's better to support the cheaper 2 watch posts rather than slamming as many as possible.
Thanks for the response! I've currently 31-20 with the deck in high diamond. I think I'm about to make a few changes after looking at some other versions, so stay tuned!
Thank you for posting this deck! This has been my favorite version that I've seen so far, and I plan on playing a very similar version on release. Here are the changes I made to my list vs yours but I'm sure I'll be changing it up even more as I think about it:
It's definitely a high-roll deck, and it's no where near Tier 1. That being said, not having the quest hurts a lot and would probably require you to change the whole structure of the deck.
This is a greedy loophole finding mentality. Sad you even asked. Blizzard is finally being more proactive with card changes and people like you discourage them from doing so.
Upon further playtesting with the deck, I see why you have the beast package. I take back my edits on a few things, although I rather like the secret package in here. Bola Shot is too slow and Professor Slate steals your win condition. Here are my new edits (from the beginning).

Glad you're enjoying!

Glad you like it! I'm not a fan of aggro either, which leads me to make these creations haha

Like the deck! I made a couple of changes, lemme know what you think:
-1 Imprisoned Gan'arg
-2 Mor'shan Elite
+1 Warsong Envoy
+1 Animated Broomstick
+1 Overlord Saurfang

-1 Preparation
-1 Vanessa VanCleef
+2 Backstab

You only have 3 total deathrattle minions in the deck. Those Jewel's of N'Zoth and Vectus are going to be unplayable.

Blizzard, please change the name of this to "Watering Hole", with the art of different beasts going up to a slightly larger pool to drink.

-2 Pressure Plate
-2 Wandmaker (maybe it was just me but I never got a good hit off this guy)
+2 Petting Zoo
+1 Snake Trap (normally not a fan, but gives bodies for Vol'jin + Kill Command)
+1 Rinling's Rifle

Great idea for a deck! I think the beast stuff is a bit clunky, so I've made some changes. (Just my opinion)
My suggestions (OLD SEE COMMENT CHAIN):
-2 Wolpertinger
-2 Scavenger's Ingenuity
-1 Pressure Plate
-2 Unleash the Hounds
-2 Kill Command
+1 Rinling's Rifle
+1 Pack Tactics
+1 Professor Slate
+1 Freezing Trap
+2 Bola Shot
+1 Bloodmage Thalnos
+2 Petting Zoo
