Legend_Entomber posted a message on The state of Warlock post-Seed nerfPosted in: Standard FormatClasses with spells such as Warlock, Priest, Mage tend to suck in Standard with limited pool of cards but they tend to overpower in Wild with increasing pool of cards over the years.
Classes with good aggro tools (Hunter, Warrior, Paladin) thrive anywhere regardless Standard or Wild mode.
Classes with quick combo tools like Rogue do well in Standard (but suck in Wild) while they (Druid) do better in Wild with late-game combo tools.
Shaman class is a mix of everything above..... (aka no identity...)

FortyDust posted a message on Mini set coming any time now?Posted in: General DiscussionWhy do people head to forums before Googling?
I entered "Stormwind mini-expansion release date" and the top result gave exactly the same answer found in this thread, only without all the drama.

olestuga posted a message on Warlock Questline too cancerousPosted in: Card DiscussionBlightborn Tamsin should read "For the rest of the game, damage you take from your cards damages your opponent instead." because dealing your own fatigue damage to your opponent is just dumb and a bit too much.

TheDarksider posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place! V2Posted in: General DiscussionAs soon as, and if, The Demon Seed gets changed, people will see how busted Defend the Dwarven District is. Deal damage with TWO spells? In Wild Tavish is ALMOST ALWAYS down by turn 5. The only way to beat this is hope they drew really badly or play Mage so you can run Ice Block, because it's impossible to race down this deck, since all of the cards are either removal or aggression.

Malastrana posted a message on HUGE nerfs and buffs coming soon!!!!Posted in: General DiscussionGuys, it's finally happening!!!! Last night I had a vision in my dream and the Hearthstone devs told me about the nerfs and buffs that will go live later this week!!!! And believe me, they are craaaazy and will shake up the meta like a Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kick!!!!
First they told me, that they will nerf Darkglare two more times. The next version will see an increase of Mana Cost, but they also don't want to hit it too hard, so the will balance this with a minor adjustment to the effect:
And because they know that won't do all too much, they already decided to nerf it a fourth time two weeks later. Cutting some stats and balancing this with another minor adjustment:
Even though they consider The Demon Seed a perfectly fine and balanced Quest, they know that the power of it's support cards can cause mild frustration in Wild and Ranked players. Therefore they decided to change some of them.
Crystallizer is a premium stated minion in an already okayish deck, so they will tackle this problem by giving it stats of cards that otherwise rarely see play:
Next is the long overdue nerf to Raise Dead:
For changing Backfire they wanted to do something fun and unique. The goal is for it to resemble other popular cards with effects that players love dearly:
For the buffs they considered cards that rarely see play but the devs could not figure out why.
For Eye of the Storm for example, they thought, maybe the drawback of overloading for (3) is a little too punishing and adressing this will increase it's playrate:
They said they were very sad about fun and board focused cards like Darkmoon Rabbit seemingly being not flexible enough to adjust to the current meta. So they made it more flexible (and from a flavor perspective, more in tune with it's nature of hiding in the dark):
They also wanted to make old cards, that once were deck/meta defining to make a comeback in a more modern way, by looking at the design of today's deck/meta defining effects. You know, Anyfin Can Happen:
And finally they said, that they tried to create the most wholesome and rewarding card of the meta:
Hope you're all as excited for the upcoming meta as I am! Have a nice day :)

Thx for the deck btw! Played a few games with it and quite enjoyed. 3-1 atm

You are right. But what's your opinion on the topic? Didn't quite get it

True, but warlock quest terminates an entire (control) archetype from the game just by the way it's designed. Sure, in current meta warlock losses to some classes etc, but the point is in its quest design philosophy, which just takes a dump on one of the core game mechanics - fatigue. Well, not takes a dump but uses it to its own advantage.

Actually this happned only once and pretty long time ago as you can see (Kobolds and Catacombs meta). I play since Old Gods with major breaks and usually open ~120 packs each expansion, so it's usually 1 golden legendary per expansion in a pack for me.

My best so far ^^

Ok this is cool i guess but the question is this - is it ok that there are basically 2 playable decks right now? One that is bullying the meta and second one that couners it.
2
Ok this is how broken the meta is now for both wild and standard. And it's just few hours from patch. I just CAN'T imagine how bad you playtest things if you ever even do....
If i was a suprerior for team 5, i fired them all immediately. HS has seen a lot of over the top things but situation now is just absurd.

Just played 3 games against quest warlock. Nerfs did absolutely nothing to this stupid deck. Flesh giant on turn 5 alongside with two step quest progression. I was looking positively to nerfs but now I kinda feel trapped in one of my favourite games - I really try to enjoy it, but just can’t due to incompetent developers and people abusing obviously broken deck in both standard and wild
2
oh yeah! Bloodmage Thalnos is even better i guess. But what about Metamorphosis? Isn't it too slow for current meta?
2
Really enjoying the deck!
Replaced Rustrot Viper and Metamorphosis for two Spectral Sight for consistent draw and its doing wonders. Hunters and Shamans cry in a corner when you heal from 5 hp to full
