I'm really enjoying this brawl, specially going on a 7-0 win run, with different classes tried all but Rogue and Shaman and will try those in a minute. But I keep winning because people keep using minions, I thought it would be logical to only use spells you're missing out on the fun and the RNG by playing a minion even if it's a good minion. All classes have at least 15 spells you could put 2 of each on your deck, and most spells have a good synergy with this brawl. I was surprised with warrior, but he did pretty well, priest is kind of hard, but mage is an easy win, Druid does really well as Warlock and Hunter. So have fun and go out there and do a spell only deck.
I did have to put some legendary cards since I don't have 2 copies of each spell in some classes, but I rarely played them. Malygos, Nefarian, Ysera, Jaraxxus do pretty well, but if you have the spells go ahead and play an all spell deck.
Obviously golden hero portraits are missing. One can argue that they can easily be farmed on low ranks, but still you have to win those 4500 games to get all portraits. I'm also very surprized to see heroics of Naxx and Blackrock as an achievements. Personally I made heroic Maexxna on the first week Naxx was released and since then never touched heroics in both adventures because for me they idea is boring as hell and card backs are probably among the worst of all released so far. Decks to beat heroics even with basic cards are all over internet, so it's not a big accomplishment. Collecting all the cards in Classic for me is also a P2P exclusive, I'd better craft golden Archmage Antonidas even if I already have a regular one, than a Nat Pagle and Nozdormu that I'm missing to "complete" collection.
Totally forgot about the golden hero portraits, and that is a hard feat, getting one takes a really long time getting all is definitely an achievement. I liked both heroics and even with deck ideas on the forums they're hard. Specially if you do it the first days when there isn't that much information yet. I remember being a Kel'thuzad / taunt bug that some people exploited, that isn't fair but I still think heroics should be there. About the complete collections, most CCG have that as a main quest, they even have % of completion of the sets. Thanks for the input, I would really hope the game would come up with something like this.
I mentioned this on the first post, full gold deck is just to P2P it's impossible for a F2P or a casual P2P to have full gold. Unless you refer to the unlockables by leveling your heroes in that case I think it should be up there.
I'm confused with how does it count percentages. The poll says "Legend rank in play mode 18.8% of Users - 3 votes" when hovered with mouse - 3 of 36 votes. 3 of 36 votes is 8.3%.
It takes into consideration the votes per user. One user can have up to 5 votes. so there will be 1 to 5 times of votes per user. I voted for 3 options so the first vote came out 100% in 3 options, 0% in 2. the 3 100% options had 1 out of 3 votes, the other 2 had 0 out of 3 votes.
However I think it's a bit presumptuous to be doling out advice after your first 12 win run. Just my 2 cents from an outside perspective.
thanks
It's only 5 tips, most of them are common sense but still something that would've helped me back in the day if I had the goal of a 12 win run. besides I've been playing the game since closed beta and have had several successful runs so yeah it's my first 12 win, but I've been playing for sometime and have had several 10+ runs.
There's 3 cards missing on your screenshot. Grats on the 12 wins - seems like a pretty normal deck unless the last 3 cards are all Tyrions. :P
Lol I wish! Sorry I didn't realize they weren't in there but I did write my deck down, the 3 cards missing are an Argent Commander (very useful in this run, saved me a couple of times) a Boulderfist Ogre and a Lay on Hands (I think I used him once and I already had board control)
If Hearthstone had game quests (besides the daily) I think they would be the following:
1. Achieve Legend rank in play mode,
2. Do a 12 win run in Arena,
3 and 4. Complete heroic mode in Naxxramas and Blackrock,
5 and 6. Collect all cards in classic and GvG sets (collectible cards).
I'm just curious in what have you guys have done. I've done both heroics, and a 12 win run, but still no legend and I'm still missing a few legendaries.
Would you add something more? We do get card backs for the legend rank and both heroics, so those do work kind of like quests. I don't think collecting all gold cards counts as that is almost a P2P exclusive, Tavern brawl isn't a challenge just like getting the exclusive card back for each month, so I don't think those count. I do believe you are a game "expert" if you've achieved all of the options above, what do you guys think.
Not much of an Arena player but I've always wanted a 12 win and finally did it with a palladin deck. The last time I was close to 12 run was also with a pally (11 wins). The deck ran a lot of 2 and 4 drops. 3 Consecration and 3 shielded minibots (last time I went 11 wins I had 4 consecrations and 4 shielded minibots). Consecration is definetly the best card in arena for a paladin. I had no legendaries and some surprises like elven archer and emperor cobra, hey seem to go pretty well: The deck is in one of the pictures (the on with the 11-2 record showing). Rewards where great 420 coins and 2 decks. Here are a few tips:
1. Aim for a perfect run always. Most game you lose on Arena are because you're not focused enough or make stupid mistakes because you don't put all your effort on that match. Every match is winnable with a good deck.
2. Use a ranking tool. I use ADWCTA's (http://www.heartharena.com/tierlist) it takes longer to craft your deck but it's worth it, it even has a class tier where paladin get's second place, although I always do well with pally.
3. Take breaks, don't try to do your 12 wins on one run, or even one day. Since you're gonna be coming back later remember to screenshot or write down your deck.
4. Think all your options. When your opponent is playing his turn you have to be thinking what you can do next, most arena minions have battlecry or deathratlle abilities, be playing them in your head and after he plays play your options again, make use of the time you have.
5. Board Control. Most arena decks end up being control type decks if you follow the tiers. You end up with a lot of 2 and 4 drops with great trade options, so try and always have control of the board. Beware of AoE Spells your oponent may have and go face only when you have board control or trade isn't beneficial.
Those are some easy tips I just thought of my last run, I'm not that much of a teacher or game expert but if you have any questions I would gladly answer them.
What's the best mobile phone for Hearthstone between Samsung Galaxy (6 or 6 edge), Iphone (6 or 6plus) or HTC One M9.
I'm changing phones in 2 months and Hearthstone is the only game I play so I think I should take into considerations what mobile phone plays hearthstone the best.
Didn't find this thread on the forums and sorry if its in the wrong topic.
Went 4-6 with this deck. it is fun, it has the edge on some control (went 2-0 against warlock) but it's not that good against current meta, I went 1-3 against hunter. Not what it advertizes.
I finally did it. this was the first deck I tried since the strategy seemed interesting. It's kind of weird just staying there, passing and armoring up but you do end up out fatiguing him. It took me 6 times to beat him, although I messed up in 2 and 1 it was pretty close.
Forming V-07-TR-0N (VOLTRON) on game is hard but I pulled one out rather easy on BRM first mission with a similar deck than this one, just to see the animation once, it's kind of cool:

Yeah i think is the best 2 drop card, and Arena relies heavily in 2 and 4 drops.

how do we make this into a formal suggestion to hearthstone, make this as Quests even if the rewards are cardbacks or packs.
