I would not use Prince Malchezaar, he weakens your deck structure too much. I would try Sylvanas Windrunner and/or Ragnaros the Firelord. They are high power cards like the one you miss. But you could try Fearsome Doomguard for the demon synergy, though its not that good.

banstylejbo posted a message on The game is becoming too expensivePosted in: General DiscussionThese threads always boil down to the same thing. If you aren't willing to or can't spend any money then don't expect to have all the options those who spend money do.
Blizzard gives away free packs for Tavern Brawl, has run more events lately which give you free gold/dust/packs, gives out free packs for picking your champion for HCT, gave away a free legendary in the solo content for Frozen Throne, made the change so you are guaranteed a legendary in your first 10 packs of an expansion, and changed it so you don't get duplicate legendaries. I'd say overall they're fairly generous, even to those who don't spend a dime. Sure, we'd all love to get more free stuff, but to say the game is all the sudden getting more expensive isn't really true at all.

Shadowmvp posted a message on What do you think Blizz will do about jade druid?Posted in: Card DiscussionInfestation is NOT the problem, that fucking jade idol and inervate IS! Blizz NEED to do smth about this!! The destroyed the game. This expanshion is wonderful, and have the potential to be the BEST expanshion in hs till now. And they just destroyed every fun by NOT solving the jade issue. I swear to god i founded like 95% jade druids in my way to rank 7 then back to 10 bcs of that jades... I's like 3 wins agains every other deck then 6 loses in a row agains jade druid. Just solve it ffs blizzard!!

Surf314 posted a message on The death of "fun and interactive?"Posted in: General DiscussionI'm a pretty active casual player. I probably play at least an hour every single day. Since the release of Karazhan I've been doing a lot of thinking on the topic of "is this game even fun anymore?" I can't seem to find a good answer.
Let me start out with a question - When is the last time you looked at the board state and thought how can I change this to be in my favor? I honestly can't remember many of those games. What makes the game fun to me is the combination of RNG and strategy - these are the tools I have how can I use them? What makes the game interactive is that both players are manipulating the board. These two things are now absent from the game. I think that's because the #1 way to make decks consistent is to minimize the impact of the biggest variables in the game 1) your opponent; and 2) your draw. Blizzard has given us all the tools to do this by releasing cards that allows us to minimize the opportunities for our opponent to do anything and maximize our chances of making a tempo play every turn.
Look at the current Tier 1 decks - aggro shaman, dragon warrior, Yogg druid, and Tempo Mage. Two of these decks are face oriented and two are play and pray Yogg decks. All are tempo decks - so each play is primarily dictated by using up your turns mana. On ladder I primarily play against aggro shaman, face-ish hunter, and tempo mage. Sometimes I play against tier 1 counter decks - decks that have cards that are only helpful against tier 1 decks (spell eater). These decks likely lose to anything on ladder they aren't built to counter. Look at how long freeze mage, the least interactive deck of all time, has been ladder viable. Look at how little tech cards are added to any Tier 1 or 2 deck. Interacting is not the most efficient strategy for this game anymore.
When the game starts I know everything in my opponents deck and they know everything in mine. Games are usually decided by who draws what when and the outcome of coin flips. Misplays are rare because we both know what each others best move is on each turn and we can either play around it or we can't. If they don't play the card I think they will play on any given turn and I can play my best card for the turn I will likely win. If both players have the right card for their deck on the right turn then it just comes down to coin flips and who's deck is stronger in the match ups. I have a good idea of how the game will go by around turn 3 when I become sure of what deck they are playing. It's a struggle not to concede immediately in many games where the match-up is bad for my deck because I already know the outcome.
I think Sylvannas is the best card to use as an example of what I'm talking about. When I first started playing, dropping Sylvannas was a critical decision in the game. If your opponent can remove it efficiently then you've made a bad turn and will probably fall behind. If you can either steal something good or make them inefficiently trade or burn removal then you will pull ahead. I could take entire turns just debating whether to play it or not. Sylvannas was an awesomely balanced card, because if it worked you got ahead and if it didn't you fell behind. Today my decision is this: Do I have N'zoth? Yes -> play it; No -> why is Sylvannas in my deck? Blizzard has given us the tools to increase consistency by minimizing the amount of thinking we have to do and risks we have to take.
Look at the state of combo decks. When I started playing the meta was control>aggro; aggro>combo; combo>control. In all of these match-ups you still had a strategy to possibly win. Aggro v. control you try to play around their big board clear turns. Combo v. aggro you could sometimes pull off less efficient combos that were enough to break the aggro deck's momentum. Control v. combo you could play more aggressively and hope to win before the combo deck could get the right cards. C'thun gets introduced and combo decks virtually disappear. This is because you now have a "combo" deck where the "combo" cards don't clog your hand and are still efficient tempo plays. Then you drop C'Thun and your combo is complete. The only two combo decks still worth playing, Warrior and Rogue, are only worth playing because you can draw your whole deck by a little after turn 10.
tl;dr - after hundreds of hours and dollars spent on this game I'm thinking of quitting and taking up Go.

bionicrain posted a message on [S17] TGT Midrange Totem ShamanPosted in: [S17] TGT Midrange Totem ShamanCan someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who thinks that this deck is actually pretty damn bad, even in the current meta and EVEN including some actually good TGT cards?
I played like 20+ matches with a winchance below room temperature (C°). I am struggling every game to get past turn 5 without the enemy having a fuckton of buffed minions on the board all the while I was struggling to get 2 totems and a minion on the board and have them survive the next turn. Which I found was impossible if your opponent didn't have the worst draw in Hearthstone history.
Thunder Bluff Valiant might be a strong card but it is extremely slow. And even worse in this deck where your only chance of survival is hoping that your Chow/Creeper/Golem will surive the opponents turn to get some value out of them.

I am asking because people say MTG is expensive while Hearthstone isn't...
Well new MTG players are just looking at expensive decks like this one.
I doubt this deck can be made without $200+ maybe even $300
1
Well MTGO decks cost around $150-$300 ... yet you complain cause you can't make a descent deck for $50?
For $50 you can make a STRONG Mage deck on Hearthstone (if you disenchant the other drops you don't need).
CCG and TCG games are expensive, they always were.

So after you play the cards from her pack, they go to your collection right?

Good deck, matches last about 50 minutes.

Late Game, Quest Activated, 2 Mage App (+2 copies) = 4.
With fourth copy guy has activated the effect of Archmage Antonidas ... Fireball cost 0 mana. Game Over.
BUT NO!!!!
Out of Arrogance, he decides to clean the board and kills Obsidian Statue
Guess who died........ Archmage Antonidas
This never happened, but can you imagine if something like that ACTUALLY happened on Twitch stream?

I mean, It's alright to concede in a late game if you are loosing but sometimes I got concedes just
when I get a board advantage.
So, Board advantage = Concede? Woah... I want actually to play this game.

THIS IS DISASTER
