When the game gets to fatigue he might be the perfect finisher. Clear the board, and hold the game with the justicar buff in CW if your opponent has something to neutralize it, that could work.
I always wanted to include this card in my deck, however it's always an all in card, a hard removal or even a taunt can crush it, and due to it's effect, you get crushed too.
However, new cards as Effigy and Fist of Jaraxxus, new dragon cards, and the whole dragon synergy being based in keeping them in your hand, are making he a bit more attractive, and with the meta slowdown promise, he seem a lot more atractive nowadays, since many removals won't be available by the end of the game.
So, do you see him getting played more often in upcoming seasons?
Except that it's much less situational and much more effective, aside from being used in very similar situations, since current meta's early game beasts are weak and savanah comes on turn 6, which is usually when the 7/X creatures come into the board. You usually trade with Knife Juggler or Mad Scientist. You could do that with card buffed by Houndmaster, but it would cost you 7 mana. And finally, hunters don't use BGH even with this pros.
In a meta without secrets, without mad scientists, no SMorc and with the possibility to include a 2+ atack beast at turn 2, it would be a great card, huge instant card advantage.

Yeah, there was even a #1 Legend deck which used him. Against other control decks he can go really well.

The only Pre-Patch deck I found useful, was playing it along with Kel'Thuzad and Ancestral Spirit

I think this card is very underated. It allows you to trade cards with near 0 value for cards with 30 mana cost combined.

Yeah! Just use Burgle so you can steal it from a Priest. It works 95% of the times.
